She sent a follow-up email blaming it on their schedule and workload, but I had not even given them a delivery schedule. It was a super disappopinting experience. My advice - if you plan on getting a quote from them for a commercial project, get quotes from competitors as well. Be aware that this company evidently chooses to "take a pass" on projects often.

Back in November 2023 (When I opened my business), I hired Issac to do my main sign and my window…read morestick lamination. The entire process to get things done was an absolute nightmare. In a nutshell, I hired Issac on Nov 2023 and he final got things done a week before 2024 Memorial Day weekend. 6 months to do 2 things is unacceptable. He hurt my business for these 6 months as my business was not being noticed. The reason is once he installed my main sign, I started to get appointments and walkins for my business (Kumon Center). My business truly suffered thanks to his delay. During these 6 months, I noticed a few things: - Unresponsive/Lack of response. Takes sometimes over a week to respond to emails regarding my orders, installation, etc... - Inconsistent invoices. He provides me a final "Agreed" invoice. After I pay him, he claims I paid him short and demanding me to pay some other price (higher price of course). I had to email him to show him what he quoted (and what we agreed). Took a while for him to digest this, but never really heard back. Plus, never apologized or sincere about his mistakes. I can understand you make mistakes (and people do), but when you do, "Apologize" or be sincere you were wrong. Issac has a lack of EMPATHY. - Broken Promises - After the amount of business I have given him, he promised me to give me a 5 - 10% discount if I do more business with him. This never happened (when I was prepared to purchase more signs from him) and instead, gives me the excuse "Oh you should have done this all at once (first order/installation), but now I need to make another trip to install more signs". (This trip is only 30 miles away!) This 2nd order is just a few small signs, but the price was a few thousands.. Does not require any bucket trucks or heavy equipment., meaning you can drive an economy car for this. Just need the signs and glue. But instead, he wants to be cheap for a 30 mile drive while he makes thousands. If he made the signs for me, I would have installed it myself if he felt the trip WAS TOO EXPENSIVE for him to take. - Materials I PURCHASED for my signs, he ALMOST refused to return it to me. I had to fight back to get MY PURCHASED MATERIAL (only claiming its proprietary which has NOTHING to do with it). This was materials I PAID out of my pocket. He is trying to nickel and dime his customers. - The quality of the job is not great. It's okay, but I am starting to see peels from my window lamination. (See photos) In a nutshell: - Very Unorganized - Forgetfulness of what was promised (ex: price agreed) - Delay of getting the job done (6 months for getting 1 sign and 4 window laminations. I have asked other customers who have the same business as mine it only took them 2 months max). - Lack of quality and professionalism - Horrible Customer Service. (When you make mistakes, (and we are humans and we do and its fine), BUT be empathetic. I AM THE CUSTOMER! I also visited his place and I do see he is a bit busy, but this does not give ANY EXCUSE to have this kind of experience! I much rather him to tell me something like "I am too busy and I won't be able to get this done in "X" months". If he told me this, that is fine. But instead, a HORRIBLE experience. I would have been happy to find someone else and give him good review. But here we are now. He seriously hurt my business due to his delay in getting my project done. Thank you Issac!!! I do not recommend doing business with this guy, unless you do not mind waiting 6+ months to get a project that should have taken less than 2 months. (I have spoken to other similar business owners who got a similar project done within 2 months). In addition, you cannot guarantee the quality. Finally, (as I always say), see his reviews on Yelp and Google. You can see a trend of his reviews. ( Yelp - Out of eight reviews, three are 1 star, one is 3 star. Google - two 1 star , 2 - three star.) Take a look yourself before you decide. BUT MY RECOMMENDATION, FIND ANOTHER VENDOR!

Where do I even begin with the absolute disaster that was working with Isaac Lee at Discount Signs? If I could give negative stars, I would, because this has been one of the most infuriating and frustrating experiences of my life. To start off, Isaac gave me a flat rate of $500 to create a sign, which I agreed to. Little did I know that this would be the beginning of a never-ending nightmare. The communication with Isaac was slower than a snail on sedatives. Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, all the while my patience dwindled to nonexistence. We went back and forth, over and over again, with Isaac sending incorrect images as if he were purposefully trying to test the limits of my sanity. Finally, he managed to stumble upon the correct design. Then Isaac hit me with a bombshell. He conveniently "forgot" to mention that there was a licensing fee from the town of Millbrae. And guess what? He had the audacity to tell me that I would have to foot the bill for his oversight. I reluctantly agreed to pay half, only because it seemed like the only way to break the vicious cycle of his incompetence. And let's not even talk about the design measurements debacle. Isaac's "blueprint" was more like a fantasy novel, with measurements that were so off they could've been from another dimension. His insistence that he was right bordered on delusion, and when it became painfully obvious that he had royally messed up, he conveniently placed the blame on everything but himself. In the end, I had to bring in another sign maker to salvage what little remained of my sanity. Unfortunately, even this new sign was a victim of Isaac's misadventures, thanks to his utterly incorrect measurements. Isaac Lee at Discount Signs is a prime example of how not to run a business. His lackadaisical attitude, inability to communicate, and utter refusal to admit fault make dealing with him an exercise in sheer frustration. I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy, and it's no surprise that he has a dearth of reviews online--clearly, even my enemies wouldn't stoop to using his services. Basically if you are not TARGET or a large client, Issac sees no point in giving you the time of day. So, to sum it up, if you enjoy engaging in futile battles with someone who's more interested in making excuses than delivering quality work, then by all means, go ahead and work with Isaac Lee and Discount Signs. For the rest of us who value our time, sanity, and money, steer clear of this nightmare-inducing disaster of a shop owner. (Fast Signs in San Mateo is way better- they will get a positive review from me!)
