We had salmon something (some fancy french name) for entré which only consisted of 2 slices of cold…read moresmoked salmon served with a spoonful of - I guess - crėme fraiche stirred with green herbes and on the side a slice of lemon. No work at all on part of the chėf, nothing more than just opening a plastic package of ready made slices of salmon and voilà! I could have, but wouldn't ever, serve the same dish at home for 50 cent. I cant say the salmon even tasted that special (I've eaten faaar more tastier salmon, oth I'm swedish :-) ). The crème fraiche mix tasting, well, crème fraiche! One star!
For main course we had dorado filets served with a creamy white wine sauce, a baked egg/milk mixture mixed with pieces of pimiento and spiced with cinnamon (!), a purėe mainly consisting of broccoli and on the side a small cooked tomato.
The fish was overcooked and showed some large bones (the chèf taken the night off?) dry, skin still attached (which in itself could be ok if descaled & spiced) topped with a bush of deep fried long straws of leek!!! Absolutely not worth the ardeous effort of chewing (imagine chewing dry straws of grass!). For the fish to reach this sad state of toughness it must surely have been precooked and either held warm for some time or been warmed up just prior to serving! You get better fish at your working place staff restaurant serving hundreds of people! Strange idea was that behind the baked custard: lacked salt, watery presumably from pieces of overcooked pimiento peppers and on top of it all the most peculiar addition: CINNAMON??!! The accompanying broccoli purée utterly spiceless and lacking salt (and I seldom add salt!). Sticking your tongue out in the rain would do you better!
The only original ideas in this dish were the adding of deep fried leeks and cinnamon though both total disasters. The fish "filets" also not worthy served even by an elementary school kitchen.
The service and environment were very agreeable. We even had one plate deducted and 1/2 bottle of wine from the bill. Nice. Still the food was a shame! One star for the effort of making us up, one star for the food.
