Thinking I have nothing else to lose (well except for some money lol) I then gave acupuncture a shot. Gunilla, who was at the front desk, was just lovely and welcoming - I just had to mention this! she was always a pleasure. Anyway, I had my consultation with Taya which was very thorough. It was then that I actually realized how stressed I was. I seriously did not think I was until I answered the questions she had for me. Acupuncture helped me relax and, although it didnt quite relieve my backpains (from office work), it did give some improvement with my sleep and worries. During the sessions, the tables are warm and comfortable and so conducive to sleeping/relaxing. Lights are turned off and music was soothing too. The walls, however, are quite thin so me being a light sleeper, I can easily hear some outside chatter if there are any. And plus when the train passes by, the noise can be easily heard in some of the rooms. After going 1-2x a week for around 7 months or so I could definitely tell my stress levels were getting so much better. I do believe Taya and her acupunctures sessions helped a whole lot in the success of our pregnancy and that we now have a 5 month old baby after years of trying and waiting. Even until now, 10 months since my last treatment (since I havent gone back for more), I remember Taya for how good natured and skillful she was and thank that she became a part of our successful pregnancy journey!

It would just feel like a prick. The room I was in was private, it was really clean, soft music was playing and very relaxing. She was right the acupuncture pins were not painful, and the room was so pleasant that I fell asleep. After removing the pins, she gave me a massage to get rid of the pins feelings. When I got up to leave, I could feel an energy in me that felt like a printed memory. I remembered what it felt like to be 20. The energy that I had was amazing. I felt wonderful. So, I continued to go weekly to treat my laundry list. Then I brought my 8 year old for an acupuncture massage to treat his ADHD. He loved it! He became relaxed, his temperament got better and I could work with easier. Then life happened and now that I am back on track we plan to return.
