But when I called up turbo tax and talked to the "live help" I knew more about taxes then they did and they could not answer my question. I turned to yelp and google and did a quick search for local CPAs in the area. The only place in the area with all positive reviews was this place. It actually seemed too good to be true and I thought all the reviews were fake reviews. I decided to give it a shot anyway. Called up and made an appointment. Last year I called up very close to the end of tax season with very little to no hope. They squeezed me in and prepared, finished and sent my taxes of all very quickly. Andy is very good and very knowledgeable in his field. After going in 2016 and how great my experience is I knew that I was going to be going the following year. I just went a few days ago, there was a little bit of a wait (well worth it) but the customer service and knowledge is amazing. They make me feel very comfortable and he gave me all of my options that I need to decide on before taxes are due. I will not be going anywhere else for my taxes. I've been to this accounting firm only once in 2010; from the actual meeting I had with the owner…read moreabout my taxes I decided not to do business with them. The company name was actually REG Group, Inc. The office itself looked very disorganized with papers and folders all over the filing cabinets. Only a couple of the female employees there were very attractive and friendly while others were very quiet and almost dismissive in appearance. The owner was a woman with a very thick almost incoherent accent and her associate was an ornery elderly man. The accountant joining the meeting had an accent that made him difficult to understand as well and his friendly demeanor came off as extremely disingenuous. To make a long story short the owner herself seemed very nervous throughout the brief meeting and almost confused as if she was completely oblivious to knowledge in her own profession; her associate did most of the talking yet never seemed to make much of a point just mostly rambled trying to be friendly towards me. The accountant seemed like he had some knowledge of what he was doing although he continuously looked through my information almost baffled as if it were in a foreign language. All in all I was completely unimpressed by the owner and her associates mostly due to the poor organization of the office and the fact that the demeanor of said owner and associates came off as completely phony almost to the point of being condescending to my intelligence My advice would be take your tax information to the MacCormack Agency on the second floor of the building rather than take the elevator to the third floor.
