From the beginning, she assured me that a change of venue was possible and charged me a substantial amount for what she described as research and preparation related to that issue. Despite those assurances and the fees I paid, the work was not carried out as represented. There were repeated delays, changes in direction and a lack of follow-through on key actions I hired her to perform. Without my knowledge or consent, she consulted with other attorneys I had prior relationships with and billed me thousands of dollars for those communications. I was also billed for work that did not advance my case in a meaningful way. Communication was inconsistent, and at times unprofessional. I experienced conduct that did not reflect the level of professionalism or focus I expected from legal counsel handling a serious matter. Overall, I paid a massive amount of money based on specific representations about what would be done, and those expectations were not met.
