We are new homeowners and I had some questions about the garage door app for the iPhone and how to reprogram the doors. When I called over the weekend, there was no service available. Called D&D to check on loose chain on our double garage door. Had to replace the the "pull grommet thing" (my words). He did that and tightened it all up and lubricated the chain. He also checked everything on our single car door and everything was fine. I asked if I could make an appointment for him to replace the rubber trim on the bottom of the doors, and he said he could do it now if I wanted. I did, so he did. It's been 5 years since new garage install. D&D put in a cheap 10' door in my second small garage which is seldom used. After one year it squeaked a little so lube seemed to "cure" it and every year it got a full lube. This year the squeak began to become a squeal. A different service company (Precision) visited and noticed they had put in a very cheap unit that didn't even have an external spring and one cable was not tightened correctly. My old other garage door (20+ years old) only needed minor service. They didn't provide the quality I thought I was getting. Very disappointed and won't use them again. Not only did he do a great job, he went above and beyond by programming both of our cars to the new opener and explained how the myQ app works to close the door remotely (just in case I drive off and don't remember closing the door). If I could give them no stars I would because thats the level of service we received. As a bit of background we have a lift system that is made in Orlando and D & D is the only authorized company to repair or replace. Apparently one of the tension springs inside the metal tube failed so the door would not go up. We called D&D but they were too busy. We called Integrity Garage Door services who came right out. They helped us get the door raised so we could back out the cars which was no mean feat as the remaining tension wire tried to keep it from being raised. Integrity told us they would have to change out the lift system as only D&D were authorized to do the tension system. Integrity indicated they would install external, heavier springs and could be out the next day. We were concerned about changing technology so we opted to wait for D&D. Big mistake!!!!!. They scheduled us for Friday morning between 8:00 and 10:00. My wife skipped her work out class only to get a call they were cancelling as a technician did not show up. We got pushed to today. 10 days with no garage access and cars baking in the south Florida sun. The technician walks in, looks around and says they no longer make the part to replace the failed wire and tried to blame the insulation on the door for the failure. We called D&D after instructing the tech to vacate our home. The front desk person tried to help but the manager would not get on the phone, but indicated she would send out an email about the parts availabilty and if eureka!! there actually was a part she would schedule another tech to come out, weigh the door and then, Maybe just maybe they would schedule the replacement. Fool me once... We called Integrity who will be here bright and early on Wednesday. Any company can have things that come up. Failure to not provide service and do so on a timely basis is a choice. Our 21 year old door opener for our condo garage stopped operating due to a blown circuit board so we had D & D swap our old opener from our house to the condo garage and install a new opener at our house. She said someone will follow up with me the first thing in the morning. No one called. I called them and went straight to voicemail at 9:05 am. I used another company. The worst customer service of any company! We bought a new home in which D&D installed the doors. The track hangers were mounted into drywall and not joists. Bolts fell out. Door panels were dented and damaged. As well as track alignment issues and a motor module that did not last 6 months. Just a few install issues. As the doors are under warranty we continue to attempt to use D&D for work and services. However, they no show more than they show up. After six months or longer of calling and messaging through their web site, I finally was able to contact a manager, Melissa, who promised to have someone to our house. Again, multiple no shows. Following multiple contact attempts, we were finally able to schedule for the 4th time. I spoke with Melissa now for about the 5th time, no apologies, nothing. We have wasted our time waiting at the house for no one. Been promised a discount which was later rejected. I do NOT recommend this company. They do not seem to care about the customer, or their needs, not to mention no one seems to answer a call nor does anyone follow up through email. I cannot comment on this company's service since nobody showed up to provide service. First day they were supposed to arrive between 2-5 PM. At 4:45 I called to confirm status of the technician and was automatically put on hold for 8 minutes listening to a D&D commercial. Had to call back to find the technician would NOT be arriving. Was then assured he would arrive next day between 8-10 AM. Didn't happen. By 12, I called to cancel as I had the feeling I wasn't going to see anyone from D&D. I have lived in Sarasota Fl for 27 years and have never received the poor communication with a company as D&D Garage doors as i have. I was having new rubber sealer put on the bottom of doors and seal moulding on the side and top of doors, The first time they came they came with only the rubber for bottom of doors,(Which i said come back when you have all the materials) The second time the came they came with on the bottom rubber for door(which i said to install) and the third time they came back the guy said i don't think i have the side & top moulding, Then he said he had some left over from another job and it was white when i order tan. I said since its the third time go ahead and install. (Again each time you have a window of time when they would show up) so this took three times a window , wasted my time and day . Then i called the store and talked to a girl by the name of Melissa and she said they would take care of the bill for me cause such a problem i endured, However i received another bill for the services, I have called Melissa 5 times and she said that she would take care of the billing issue , but as of this date 8/13/2025 it has not been taken care of. Strange Owner Dallas M. would state glad all issues were resolved still waiting on the 3 damaged custom panels and an COUNTY INSPECTION I would call Dallas M. A liar to his face. I would look for a different installation company. The problem is not the product it is the technicians or installers. They get paid $80.00 a door to install a door and was told my door was heavy and should be paid more to install. Since the original install of the two doors I have seen 2 different service people from D&D and every one complained about how much they are paid and that they call in sick a lot. I would look for a different garage door company the installers show up to install the doors ours were $8000.00 dollars custom they the installers helper damaged them and dented two panels then couldn't finish the job for they didn't have the correct anchors bolts and just left and was told to see if I knew a roofer to reattach the mounting boards. I don't like to share negative reviews but unfortunately we've had a bad experience with D and D Garage Doors. We had an impact garage door installed in August and one of the panels was damaged...a replacement panel was ordered at that time. After waiting over a month, I called to find out it's been in their warehouse... I made an appointment for the install and they were a no show no call. Set another install date for today and called to verify they were still on their way (office said we were the next stop) but again no show no call! Would not recommend to anyone. read more

I don't know if this company is still in existence since we reached out to them 3 times via a call, online, etc. when two bolts on one of our garage doors fell out and became dangerous to operate--and never heard back. It's a good thing D&D Garage Doors isn't an Urgent Care--we'd be dead by now. So we contacted another Garage Door company online and heard back in 15 minutes. This is our second review for D&D, first was on Goggle. My wife drove up to their office on October 15, to see if could get help for our dead garage door as a result of Multi power surges from Hurricane Milton. The office staff was able to find a spot for October 15th. I was at work & my wife worked with the technician. He reset & checked that everything was working properly, including car remotes. I don't recommend D&D Garage Doors They installed a brand new hurricane-rated door to my house. They left a lot of hardware behind (nuts and bolts) I had to clean up. They Failed the first county inspection. Requested 3 times to look into why the door was so noisy...it sounded like it wanted to come apart during opening and closing...I even told the first inspector. Every response from D&D and the first inspector was...it's the motor. D&D tried to sell me a new motor stating I needed a belt motor because chain motors are always loud. When D&D came back to fix the failed inspection errors...they ignored my request to fix the nosy door. So I called Tim Voss "since it was the motor" and learned the new garage door wasn't installed correctly. He fixed their error in 40 minutes only working on the door never altering the motor and when I requested D&D to refund the money for Tim's fee...D&D denied my request. Yes, Tim Voss fixed the error and the garage door opens and closes quietly. D&D Garage Doors needs to work on communication skills, installation skills, follow through, and customer service. read more

D & D was to repair my garage at my home - the repair guy went to wrong address and couldn't make to the correct address that day. Called the next morning to tell them know I wouldn't be home until after 2:30 - the repair guy call at 1:15 to tell me him was there. when the office called, they cancelled cause the guy could not wait. I waited over one week for D&D Garage Doors to send a tech to change the bottom weatherstrip and perform the annual maintenance. The tech arrives only to tell me that he does not have 16 feet of weatherstrip and I would have to reschedule. Next appointment offered was for February, so needless to say I declined the service. Incredible how a tech and the company do not make sure they have the necessary material to complete a small job. Order a door. Weeks later door shows up. Not the color they presented to me. Salesperson came in first looked at the job. Was not going to be up to code. The installer was the more educated one. So they were going to tear more stuff out than they were supposed to. I decided to cancel . I didn't feel like dealing with it at this time too many mistakes and I just had surgery. Was not in a mood for this sort of thing. SoI tell them to move forward I will worry about this garage door another time. We're not having a good day here. The sad part folks. Is be very cautious. They're refusing to give me my deposit back which is substantial. So I gave them a credit card number and they have my deposit they refuse to give it back. And I did nothing wrong. So I had to contact the credit card company. And please do yourselves a favor do a lot of research. Better business bureau. You will be shocked. And of course everyone has different opinions on reviews I'm just telling you how my experience went. I have many friends in the construction business that use them. Because they get in a pinch.
