When I called to question the discrepancy, he told me I was wrong and implied I had misunderstood him (his exact words were much more insulting than that)-- which was both insulting and inaccurate. I took notes during the quote and have no doubt about what was said. Beyond the pricing issue, the work was subpar: He completely skipped a large section of one deck. He did not power wash the back side of the garage. He failed to move furniture or other items out of the way, instead washing around them. Several small plants were killed by careless water blasting. Unfortunately, I did not get the quote in writing, so I'll pay the invoice -- but I'm left frustrated, disrespected, and extremely disappointed. I would not recommend his services to anyone.

My wife called a number of seal coat contractors. The amazing thing is that one actually answered the phone. Although Jim was having lunch at the time, he said he would come my in a half hour and sure enough, he did. He took a look at my driveway, said he had some time between jobs and would take care of it the next day and for a great price! No deposit, only a handshake. He came by as promised, and made short order of it blowing off leaves and debris, sealing the cracks and doing an outstanding job with the seal coat! Well worth the price and a pleasure to work with! By the way, a week later and not one other contractor we called bothered to even respond. I am glad we caught Jim during lunch (I am not sure he was) and had him complete this project! I not only recommend him here, but am letting other family members know who to call for driveway cracks and seal coating.

My experience with this company has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I hired them to sealcoat my driveway, and within less than a month, the asphalt started to deteriorate. It was clear that incredibly cheap and low-quality materials were used. The surface began to crack and flake almost immediately -- something that should never happen with a proper sealcoating job. I contacted Anselmo (the owner) multiple times -- at least 15 -- and every time he had a different excuse for not showing up to fix the issue. He promised to come back and make things right, but those were just empty words. It's obvious now that he had no intention of following through. This company does not stand behind its work, and in my experience, Anselmo is dishonest and unreliable. Don't fall for promises or a friendly attitude up front -- once he has your money, you're on your own. Please learn from my mistake. The weather has been absolutely perfect for driveway work. As far as I know, no one has been by. For certain no one has contacted us. For certain no one has done anything in the driveway. No excuses, City Paving. We held a family meeting, I called one last time this morning-2 busy signals and a no answer. The address on the contract is a private residence, not an office. We will pay for another company to come and repair City Pavings workmanship issues before the freezing weather sets in and further damages the driveway.
