The dog is a Golden Doodle, 26 lbs, and 6 months old. I have never owned a dog, so I just let it have free rein in a never used spare room. BIG mistake. Cairo began marking his territory on top of other mess making activities. Cairo is a puppy but he makes a big boys mess. I had no idea how to get the smell or stains out of the carpet. I only knew I did not want to clean it. I tried my best but I failed. I woke up to the smell/stains being way worse the next day. It was like I hadn't done anything. I tried to Google to figure out the mistakes I made but I got frustrated so I searched Yelp, then started a project on Yelp. Projects on Yelp allowed me to create a service request that I was able to initiate, customize, and manage in real-time. No automated phone answering systems or long wait time or holds! I was able to make immediate contact, explain the request, and receive a quote in a mater of minutes through chat within the Yelp app. I could even provide photos which eliminated the need for a site inspection. I put the description in as carpet cleaning, stain/liquid waste removal and within a few seconds multiple companies reached out to me. D&G sent me a message requesting information first. I spoke directly with the owner. After a few minutes I received a quote, was dispatched a tech, and was booked for a same day appointment only 45 minutes after initial contact. I was directly contacted via text by Ivan D. who provided tracking updates for the request that gave an introduction of the tech I was booked that included name and photo, an ETA of his arrival, and live updates of the job. I was thoroughly impressed. This was very convenient. This was fantastic customer service. I booked Shelton Frey, the man is a wizard! Shelton communicated with me well, was punctual and was very professional. He got the job done efficiently and quickly. He was thorough. The smell was eliminated and the carpet was cleaned and treated. I was even told what to do next time and what errors were made. I pre-paid for this service which I booked MONTHS in advance. I had to reschedule because I had Covid and couldn't move out properly. I moved to the westbank and had to stay in an empty room for hours waiting on them to come with no contact or communication or update. I called multiple times and left a voicemail and they still did not get back to me. Honestly, I feel robbed because they took my money and ran without even doing the service and left me with no communication. I've used their services almost 3 years now, primarily for rug and carpet cleaning, and 3 times for a sofa I have. My sofa has suffered terribly. The first cleaning they laid steamed off-white pillows on tan pillows causing staining. They returned and cleaned the pillows taking out most of stains. Last cleaning of sofa one of the seating cushions was badly damaged to the point I have had to keep a throw cover on it so save fabric from completely tearing. I must now have all cushions recovered. I've been so upset I haven't contacted D & G to let them know (about 3 months now). I've just sent them an email with a photo of the damaged cushion! Won't use again...hope they can help in the cost of reupholstery! So very very disappointed. read more

Tons of communication throughout the process, including text confirmations of appointments, arrival times, and the name of the arriving technician. I scheduled an in-home cleaning, but the technician determined that the rug would need to be taken to the shop due to its material (at a higher cost). There are still a few small stains, which I assume were too deep/difficult for the shop to remove, but overall, I'm happy with the end results. read more

There are stains all over and you can see what appears to be white spots all over - assuming that's from chemical they use. I was scheduled for a 10:00 am cleaning for my moms house who recently had a stroke. It was rescheduled several times. They did not arrive till 8:00 pm. It was a rushed job and a waste of money. Hours after they left I started to realize they missed a lot of areas, stains were still there and when I vacuumed the next day I filled a container of lent left on the floors and stairs. These guys did a fantastic job with the carpets in our apartment this week. The previous tenants owned a few dogs and supposedly cleaned the carpets twice before moving out. Unfortunately, there were still a few visible stains and the carpet smelled like stank dog. The 2 gentlemen from D&G came by when they said they would, were professional and polite, and wore shoe booties when walking around our carpeted space. They used UV lights and found a bunch of invisible pet urine stains all over the place - truly revolting. Day 1 was pre-treatment, then they came by on day 2 and went nuts on the carpet. Seeing the giant bucket of black water that was extracted from our carpets was disgustingly satisfying. Our place smells like a Febreze factory now, and I sure hope our landlord didn't give the last tenant their pet deposit back. One caveat: I can't comment on the cost - we have no idea, as it was covered by my landlord. read more

Couldn't ask for better service. We currently rent our condo, and we moved in about 8 months ago. We have a puppy, so accidents will happen. We also don't know what pets were there before us. Decided to have the carpets cleaned before hosting Christmas, found these guys on Yelp and gave them a shot. Making the appointment was easy and they showed up as expected. After they finished, the carpet looked way better than before. The next day, we noticed the urine smell was stronger than before. I called the guys and he was honest, apologetic, and helpful. The guys came back to spray enzymes, let it sit and work for a few weeks, then came back and recleaned the carpets - ALL FOR FREE. Since then, there has been no smell and the carpets look and feel great. These guys are fair, honest, and do a great job. They really wanted to do a good job more than just a quick job. I HIGHLY recommend them if you need your carpets cleaned. P.S.- They do upholstery as well, I plan on getting my couch cleaned in the future and will use these guys too. read more
