Armadillo were tearing up our landscape even after treating for grubs. We got a very quick response from D&G. Chris was knowledgeable, found a burrow, trapped several varmints between our yard and the neighbors, and finally filled the burrow hole before removing the traps and calling the job complete. When the initial contact was made with this company I was very pleased. I explained to the tech that I had a raccoon in my wall and I needed it removed. The tech knocked around on the wall and placed his phone up to the vents to see if he could get a response, of course NOTHING. I explained to him we have done that several times and could never get a response. The raccoon would start moving around after 6 p.m. okay so he went in my attic and looked around and came back to tell me it was nothing there (I knew that, it's stuck in the wall) and he would set traps to see if he could find out anything and he would come back the next day. On to the next day, two techs show up around 4:30/5:00 I informed them that again the raccoon was up and down the wall the entire night, it would go from the vents in the wall to moving up and down the wall. Prior to calling this company, I had another company to come out to set traps and 3 very large raccoons were caught in that one week, I contacted D & G due to the one that was stuck in the wall and the other company that only did trapping. After the two techs did their inspection they came back to tell me once again that the animal must have exited my home. These creatures had completely destroyed one side of my home making a way to exit and enter, I had contractors scheduled to come make repairs in the next day and didn't want anything left to die inside the walls because then we have a bigger issue. I assured the techs once again that it is something still in the wall and it only becomes active late evening until about 5:30 a.m. I was assured once again that nothing was there and I'm knowing all the time that it is. Day 3 the contractors show up to complete repairs, repairs have been done and my house is completely closed all around, 7:00 p.m. guess who's up and moving...yep the raccoon and it has absolutely no place to go because the house has been closed, this is where the real nightmare begins... Two weeks later I have a dead animal in my wall very close to the vent In the exact location I told them several times this animal was located. Words could never explain the smell that myself and my two daughters have endured the past three weeks, I work at a mortuary part time and I don't think I would compare this smell to a decomposed body! This story doesn't end there, I had to travel the weekend of 7/5, when I returned home my entire house was covered with flies, all of my windows, the air vents in the wall where the raccoon was and the ceiling. At this point I don't know what to do, I had to leave my home until someone could go in and take care to the flies. Right today when I wake up I have piles and piles of dead flies all over my house. Contacted the company regarding what I believed was a squirrel or critter in the attic. Initial contact with the company was fine, responsive and informative, letting me know a tech would be contacting me to set an appointment to do an inspection. The appointment was scheduled for Friday. Tech shows up, lets me know he found squirrel and rodent droppings in the attic, found a hole near the chimney cap and would return on Monday to test the hair found to identify the offending varmint, squirrels or rodents. If squirrels he would set traps and let me know the rate based on that service starting at $300 not exceed $500. However, determine rodents are the culprit then there is would be a $85 service charge and I would need to contact my pest control company. Monday rolled around.... no tech... no call.... Tuesday the following week.... Invoice for the service charge???? Here we go.... Contacted the company, spoke with the rep, who I assumed is the owner, explained the situation, where things left off with the tech, he contacted the tech for follow up, reaffirmed the tech's determination that the culprit was rodents, took 20% of billing for the tech's failure to call me back and keep me informed. First, I appreciate the discount, second I appreciate the owner's willingness to make a conscientious effort to resolve the problem and providing me with a quick follow up response. Here's the rub, the tech's and the company's follow through sucked. On the tech side, I waited around all morning on Monday for his call that never came. On the company side, they didn't follow up with me to see if I was satisfied with the service or not. I thought initially, since he didn't contact me as he said he would he dumped me off his list, but duh, a bill is always due if when the service sucks. While the tech was onsite he did go in the attic and walk around the perimeter of the house; however, I was provided no evidence (i.e. pictures - smart phone) showing the opening where he said the varmint was getting in or droppings. This company overall needs to take their customer service and customer commitment up a notch. When techs commit to customer follow up, whether coming back onsite or calling, then do it, everyone's time is precious. Oh and by the way, my problem isn't resolved, yes I did have the pest people come it but I still hear the fiesta and let me say its sounds more like squirrels having a kegger than anything. Had SUCH a great experience with this company. Had a raccoon family crawl deep down into a wall and make a ton of noise. Phil came out and crawled through every corner of my attic to find them and remove them humanely. Had another company come out before him and say it was rats and put rat traps with peanut butter in the attic without really looking. Obviously, that didn't work. If you have raccoons call D&G and ask to have Phil sent out. read more
