The service did nothing for the spiders though, and after two years, anything I set outside still gets covered in cobwebs within two days. Now, I don't know if they changed their formula or what, but the hornets are back in numbers, and I'm forced to buy store spray to kill them. No sense in paying for both, and since Orkin was costing me over $1000 a year, I called to cancel. Instead of cancelling me, they promised to contact me with a more affordable plan. Their ACTUAL response? Crickets chirping! So I called again, this time insisting they cancel my service, and the operator I talked to said she did cancel it. Well guess what when I checked my bank balance today... sure enough, they charged me almost $60 AFTER I was told my account was cancelled! Now I have to go through the nightmare of having that $60 returned to me. I thought Orkin was a "trusted name" in exterminators, so I'm very disappointed with them and their shady stalling tactics...

A friend's recommendation led me to Advantage. It turned out to be an excellent decision. The company, which has been in business for several years, is one hundred percent reliable. Usually, the owner himself answers when you call. There is no 800 number with electronic choices. Advantage comes out right away and takes care of whatever pest problem you have. It feels good to be paying directly for service. Their fees are extremely reasonable because unlike many pest services there's no giant corporate office involved.
