I am SO relieved to have found D & H Electric! I kid you not - I called about SIX different electricians, before finding D & H. The first two electricians I called couldn't get to my job for weeks (so I opted to call around for someone who could get here sooner). The next electrician never called me back after leaving two voicemails. The next two electricians scheduled with me, and then rescheduled. Then when they couldn't make the SECOND appointment, they ghosted me and never followed up. The third one came on the wrong day, and when I wasn't home, he stood outside my home yelling for me to open the door (or so my teenage daughter reported, since I wasn't home, and I instruct her not to open the door to strangers) I feel like this is so crazy, I could be making this up - but this is all true! :D I finally found D & H kind of on accident by reading an article about getting the "Yuma's Best" award. I thought 'that's what I need after all this craziness - YUMA'S BEST!' D & H could schedule me in within the next couple days. They did have to reschedule on me once - which I DON'T MIND AT ALL as long as they are in communication and follow up, which they were. When Sean ( maybe spelled Shaun? or Shawn?) came, he was very friendly and professional. He not only did the job very well and quickly - he was very informative and patient with any questions I had. We called to have an outside, wired, light added to an existing circuit to provide light to our pool area. I had tried to add a non-wired LED set, but the unit wouldn't charge. The electrician, Russ, arrived and examined the job and spoke with my wife about what she wanted. He then sent her a couple of choices of lights, wired LED, which would work. He brought her selection back to our house and then installed it as requested. This was all completed in a morning. Tonight we will see if it provides sufficient light. But if it doesn't, a second light can be added between the new light and the old existing unit he tied into. The electrician was young, but knew what he was doing and when done, the wiring was hidden on the back side of the fascia board to which the light was attached. I have hired D&H before for other electrical work. I have always been happy with their work. While they aren't cheap, they don't have to come back and fix things that should have been done during the call. I recommend them for all types of electrical work. read more

Just had D&H install a security camera w/floodlights; great job. Sean showed up on time and had a great attitude. Jose also assisted after he had completed another job, to help with running the wire and installation. They were able to cut out a small portion of the house, run the wire, connect everything and it looks great. Camera literally looks as if it was installed when our home was built. Not to mention installed floodlights over garage with dusk to dawn technology and that was flawless. Dusk to dawn technology using one photo cell to control all lights over garage was an excellent idea Sean presented to us! I can say this, whatever challenge Sean and Jose faced, they had a viable solution and solved the problem. Great job and I highly recommend them. We will utilize this company in the future. I called D & H for service after one of my overhead lights/ceiling fan in my Manuafactured Home went out and started to buzz. That definitely did not sound good! I called them at 4:58pm and they were just about to leave but did take my information, offered me after hours service, which I declined, and texted the service manager so he could get me on today's schedule. Justin called me at 7:21am to let me know he was on his way. He located my problem and yes, it could have been serious if not taken care of. He not only repaired but replaced several of my boxes, along with my loose wiring issue. Justin was very courteous the entire time he was here. I am thankful to D & H Electric for their excellent service. This is the second time I have used D & H Electric and I will continue to do so when I have an electrical issue. D & H Electric has been our "Go To" provider for at least the last 15 years. The service has been consistently great. For a while now I've needed to replace the outside motion sensor lights (7 of them!). I held off because I was worried about the expense. The technician I spoke to on the phone was courteous and sympathetic. He suggested a few options to lower costs, which I was happy to take! He then set up an appointment within a week. The tech who came to the house was pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient! Everything was done within an hour, despite the fact I had to make a fast run. Ack to Home Depot for bulbs! He even offered to move the older working fixtures to the back of the property, so all the new ones would be in front. So thoughtful! Had Igor at my park model lot #96 to check my electrical pedestal due to electrical issues at Yuma Venture. I requested that the main 50 amp breaker be replaced along with the 30 amp beaker. Reportedly there has been issues with sand collecting inside the breakers and causing issues. I forwarded a photo of the pedestal showing the breakers and discussed the work to be completed and contact me with any questions. Igor sent me photos of the installed breakers. I feel the work was completed in a timely manner. I spent 7 years working for the Green Giant Company in charge of ammonia refrigeration operating 5 industrial food processing freezers (vegetables) with 2, 4160 volt transformers with 440 volt, 3 phase with 110 volt control circuits. I called them for a rush job installing a outlet in my attic for some other work later in the week. The technician, Igor, was prompt and on time and I told him I what I wanted, showed him the job and area, and turned Igor loose. My only requirement was the job had to meet or exceed code(no short cuts) because I did not want a electrical fire in the attic. Igor did a graet job and also advised he tied the 4plex to my GFCI outlet in the garage, but was concerned that it was not a current outlet. I advised it was probably the original and over 40 years old, he recommended replacement and took care of it, workmanship was great and he was safety conscious. Igor cleaned up after himself. D&H did a great job and will call them again! We wanted to upgrade our doorbell to a doorbell camera. After self installation it did not work. After being informed that the wiring may not be proper power to the camera we had D&H come to help. They checked the wiring and said the wiring would work but the transformer had to be changed to the wattage the camera needed as the transformer we had was 20 yrs old and only powered a button doorbell. After the change there was still no light to the doorbell camera and from there he changed the chime box. After the change the doorbell camera light finally turned on. We bought a home in Yuma to escape the winter weather in Union, WA. We used D&H for a problem with our pool, and they were here the next day and fixed it without hesitation! We returned to our Yuma home for the winter on Tuesday. We had a few fans that needed fixing and all of our smoke alarms were in need of battery replacement. We have 10' ceilings, and I refuse to let my 84 year-old husband climb a ladder that high - so we called D&H on Wednesday, and they were here at 0800 am this morning (Thursday) and got everything fixed.. Call them up described my problem and within a couple of hours Matthew was at my door. He was personable, attentive and efficient, not to mention extreemly knowledgable. I would not hesitate to call D&H Electrical in the future when needed and you should't either if you need them now. I was told upfront what the cost would be, we agreed that if the problem was not solved in 2hrs the tech would stop and discuss what to do next. The tech solved the problem in less than 2 hr. Called last week to get quotes on having an electrician come out. This company had the lowest rate per hour. We scheduled for the electrician to come out today (Monday) at 7:30 am. The electrician called and let us know he was on his way and was on time. This is a big plus for the company as I hate waiting for someone that doesn't show or doesn't call to let me know they are running late. The electrician listened to the issues I was having with my dryer and was able to fix the problem. He also took the time to fix a light switch I asked him about. A circuit breaker tripped Sunday night in our living room and we were not able to get the breaker to reset. This left the whole right side of my house without lights and all the wall plugs on that side were dead. This company answered their phone right away when I called Monday morning, unlike the other 2 I called first. They sent out a very knowledgeable electrician who was very friendly and thorough. He fixed the problem and answered all my questions. I will definitely be calling them again when I'm ready to do some electrical projects around our house that need upgrading. read more

He surveyed the job, gave me a description of what he was going to do and got it done quickly and proficiently. I called and emailed several electricians in the surrounding area to install and run separate 20 amp 220 volt lines to one of my rooms. D&H Electric (Chris) immediately responded and sent two technicians the very next morning. Paco, the lead technician, and his partner (his name escapes me), are very competent, skilled and professional. I had to change out a couple ceiling fans that had some very untraditional switches. When I opened the switch plate and took a look at the wiring in the wall, I knew I was in over my head. I called D and H at 2:00 on Tuesday, and by Weds at 10:00am one of their techs, Shaun, was at the house ready to get the new fans up and running. Had an issue with my water heater. Called a plumber and he said he noticed my electrical panel was wired incorrectly. I called D and H Electric to come out and check and fix all the wiring in the panel box. Young man named Justin came out, went thru all the wiring, checked all the breakers, and discovered that a previous electrician had mislabeled the breakers, and there was actually no mis wiring . He re-labeled all the breakers correctly and explained everything to me so I could see what happened. Good service call for sure. read more

My power in half my house kept going out, the half with my computer, TV, security, refrigerators, freezer and heat pump. It was alarming and irritating. I called D&H and they were here in less than an hour. They weren't certain, but thought they had it figured out, but needed me to duplicate the problem. I couldn't, until today, when it went out for 8 hours. Almost immediately, they were here, and confirmed the cause. Within another hour, they were back and fixed the problem! I called to set up a time to have two electrical issues addressed. Since it was a Thursday, I figured it would have to be next week. I called D&H a little after 0900, by 0930 received a call back from the scheduler advising they could be at my house within the hour. The technician got to both issues and was completed by 1100.
