He told me that his stump grinder was being repaired and he would return. I have made numerous attempts to contact him because of his failure to honor his contract (hand shake). He will not return my calls. I even threatened legal action. I threatened to contact the better business bureau and to post to the neighborhood site unless he honored his contract. That has not happened. So I do plan on reporting him to the better business bureau, and I do plan on legal action. I realize I will spend more money than it's worth financially. However, I feel obligated to take a personal stand against dishonest people. The contractors name is Darrell Nest, and his telephone number is 469-396-7497. If you wish to hire a dishonest contractor, then this is the person to hire. If, by chance, and Darrell reads this, please understand that my next step is the better business bureau, and after that, i will begin the process of taking action through theĥĥ filing with small claims. Hired Cabrera Tree Service to remove three mature cypress trees that were causing damage with their…read moreinvasive root system including knees and elbows. The big problem was that two of the trees were located in between my house and my neighbor's house as you can see in the pictures. One was in the front yard. Jesus and his crew of 15 showed up on time and by lunch they had safely removed the three cypress trees. Some estimates I received said they would take three days to do the job. Jesus also did a great job of grinding all of the stumps and removed all of the visible knees and elbows. Not only did they climb up on my roof with 0 attempt to contact me or ask permission, (I've been sitting in my office all day) they also dropped a large branch on my roof which caused some damage. I have to assume that they didn't intend to drop that 20 foot-long branch on my roof, but the bare minimum courtesy I'd expect is that they'd let me know my front and back yard would be covered in branches, and to request permission to access both.
