We are repeat customers of this business and have found them to be prompt, curteous and are willing to find a way to fix house problems that seem to occur from time to time. We live in an old brick two story that (THE) has fixed crooked door jambs, roof leaks, needed help painting the deck, and many other things. What is appreciated about this company is that the staff that arrive are polite and safe to be left alone with the elderly and disabled. It helps when having a house problem and they are able to troubleshoot it on the phone OR send someone out quickly to assess the situation. It offers peace of mind for which I am grateful. They may not be the cheapest in town, but you get what you pay for. We are calling them again today for another new roof leak. I hate trees over a house!!

Initially, the job details were communicated through Blake, then gradually moved to Osman, the supervising foreman on site. The original deck was all wood and had a shed roof. The new deck is all TimberTech and has a gable roof. The work was performed in a timely manner and the job site was clean and in control. The entire project lasted roughly 6 weeks. Their philosophy was once they started a job. They didn't start a new one until 95% of the original job was complete. Not 100% because they were waiting for special orders or materials, we never felt neglected or out of the loop of communication. Osman was very professional and communicated with us well. We found that all the workers were conscientious of taking care of our property and worked very hard. I would highly recommend Deck World for all your future needs!

He even had a rep from Sherwin Williams to come out and look at our project. Once started they spent a lot of time and care prepping everything from the cleaning all wood surfaces to taking care of a lot of carpenter bee damage (damn those things) as well as repairing some wood pecker damage. They took care and did a professional complete neat job in a timely manner. We had some rot damage areas that took us a full year to get repaired after they had finished everything else and they immediately came back out and completed the job. It looks excellent now. Communication was very good, pricing was intelligent, his crew was great, and they were timely, neat, and complete.

I retained Care-Bilt to add an extension and replace existing surface wood on our deck. Although I had obtained quotes from two other companies which were SUBSTANTIALLY less that what was quoted by Care-Bilt, I elected Care-Bilt due to a relationship with the owner and felt that he would treat me fairly....was I mistaken!!! Although the work of the contractors he hired was acceptable, this owner added NO value whatsoever. Although I had requested drawings from him detailing the new addition, he did not see fit to provide them and as a result the new addition was three feet short of what I had anticipated...not even enough room to place the furniture we had wanted. His response..."well that is what I wrote down". Never did he share with me what he wrote down so I had no way to determine that he had incorrectly sized the addition. To top that off and adding even more salt to the wounds, his final bill INCREASED the initial estimate by over 30% . So for an additional 6' x 11' deck-space plus the new surface wood I ended up paying him over $21,000 or $318 per square foot....A TOTAL RIP-OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not only was I charged a ridiculous cost for this addition, for a project that the owner said would take 4 weeks, it took him 5 MONTHS to complete the job!!!!!!
