Do not use this company as they are UNOROFESSIONAL AND ABANDON CALLS WITHOUT TELLING YOU! They were called by Triple A to get my car. They arrived at a dirt road, which I drove on with my Mercedes, and said it was too rough for their trucks so abandoned the call and didn't tell me. I called then they told me and when I expressed I was going to report them to Triple A for not informing me they hung up on me. read more

My sister and I got locked out of her car today when her Subaru Forester locked her keys inside!! We didn't even realize that could happen! We were at the Shell gas station at Friant Dam and called D&K Towing for help. Tim answered right away, explained he was at Prather but would come down to help as soon as possible. This wonderful man noticed the sounds of my car, as I turned it on, and helped me check my oil level and with the oil I carry in my car; that my dad gave to me, and poured it in for me. Without a doubt the worst experience Ive ever had with a towing service. The woman (whose name no one will disclose) had an attitude the minute she pulled. It wasnt like she had a long distance to travel. Maybe 1 1/2 miles. She was sent the service request from AAA. Paul was dispatched to retrieve my Jeep and I on the side of the road out of town a ways. He was very professional and courteous. I quickly was aware that he knew what he was doing and that we were in good hands. He worked swiftly and very safe. My passenger and I had a nice 74 mile ride in his well kept and clean cab. First , I am a 25 year local fulltime resident. After 26 hours and 17 phone calls I gave up. Dishonest , multiple commitments to call back and set up a time to tow , crickets...... Never once called me back. Called a tow service in Fresno who spent 18 minutes on my problem and billed my insurance $392 . You are a terrible company to do business with . Unlike a lot of the other reviewers my vehicle was on a paved , plowed road . Absolutely no excuse . Missed opportunity , now you are $392 short. We were headed to the lake with our boat and one of the tires on the boat trailer had shredded as we approach Friant. We made it to the side of the road and saw a towing service across the street. We called and they were amazing. They helped us get back on the road and safely. Even after my husband had been stressed they were kind and friendly. We could not have asked for better service. Appalling, disrespectful, hurtful and disdainful behavior towards women and elderly and disabled citizens and a lack of empathy. He lied and told AAA the car was located on a dirt road. FALSE STATEMENT he made which was RECORDED BY AAA. This person, DAVID BOYKO of D & K TOWING IN AUBERRY, CA should be exposed and ashamed of himself. He is ANYTHING BUT PHILANTHROPIC, as he claims. He left the elderly without a car due to his selfish lying after AAA had DISPATCHED, NO. 31182. We did not get a call why the tow did not arrive until I called one hour after ETA did not show Dispatch No. 31182. We need to get the car repaired in Fresno and asked for the tow. Our Mother is disabled. This is what happened: On 4/4/2021 I called AAA. I have been a member for 37 years and hold the Primere plan. The call was for my 90-year-old Mom's car that we use while our family lives with and caretakes our Mom. DAVID BOYKO, owner of D & K TOWING, could have turned down the job and left it to a professional if he did not want to work that day, but instead he lied after the call was dispatched No. 31182. HE LIED TO AAA AND TOLD AAA THE STREET WAS A DIRT ROAD! After I called to state the Driver did not arrive and it was 1 hour past ETA of 10:26, AAA investigated and discovered that Google maps and Satelite Topo maps indicate the car was located on A PAVED ROAD; NOT A DIRT ROAD. To recap: After I made the call from Mom's residence, I received a text from from AAA stating the dispatch NO. 31182 and I was told that the driver is on the way and ETA was 10:26 a.m. I waited until approximately 11: 30 am then called AAA and spoke to a very educated AAA CSR. AAA rep told me that DAVID BOYKO from D & K Towing stated that the car was not on a county road and the road is unpaved. So Boyko lied about a Tow he did not make. I told the rep from AAA that is not true the road is paved and I am currently standing on it where it meets the PAVED driveway. The AAA representative looked up my Mom's address and verified through satelite topo map and Google Maps that THE LOCATION IS ON A PAVED PUBLIC ROAD. After getting a string of phone calls from AAA stating that they cannot service dirt roads, I called the District Supervisor of AAA. She gave me a second Dispatch No. 32711 AAA, and once again I received messages back that FALSELY CLAIMED THE LOCATION WAS O N A DIRT ROAD. So this one person, DAVID BOYKO of D & K TOWING IN AUBERRY, by his one statement, caused a whole day of confusion with AAA while my 90-year-old Mother is left without a simple tow to Fresno, and David Boyko is sitting unbeknownst to any of the hardship that his lie and refusal to perform the service that he signed up for with AAA has caused. On Wed., 4/7/2021 I called D & K Towing to ask if he could tow my Mom's car and informed him that the road was paved and AAA had also verified that it is by using their satellite equipment to confirm. David Boyko stated that he did not want to take his truck up there and told me to get someone else. I told him that I was aware that he said that the road was dirt. Dave told me "not to put words in his mouth." I told him that I was not putting words in his mouth, and that AAA told me that David Boyko from D & K Towing in Auberry said this was a dirt road. I was shocked and hurt by the disrespectful, hateful response I received from him and his dismissive and abusive demeanor. He was rude, angry, hateful, hurtful, and disrespectful and abusive. This feels like intentional infliction of emotional distress and intentional infliction of harm to the vulnerable and disable and elderly. He was yelling at me for asking questions, yelled at me for explaining to him the road was paved as was the driveway. According to the other Yelp reviews I read, this is not the first time Boyko has gotten a poor review from others when he just plain does not want to pass on a dispatch and then recants the dispatch and lies to AAA and causes citizens harm and distress. Mr. Boyko, a simple no thank you, I cannot take your job would be much nicer that putting all these people through emotional distress in their time of being stranded without a working vehicle. read more

What can I say, this guy saved me on the side of a small road off the side of Millerton Lake. I had a front tire blowout, and tried to jack the Jeep up on my own, but my jack wasn't tall enough for the suspension I've got. I called AAA and asked for tow service. An hour later, and it was getting dark. I was planning to make the trip back to San Jose, but my chances were pretty slim given the pack of light. Minutes later, I see ambers flashing coming down the road. The guy saw that I had tried to get the wheel off myself, and suggested a hi-lift Jackie I wanted to be safe in the future. He popped my front tire off, replaced it with the spare I had ready, swapped the tire end caps, and remounted my spare on the back gate. Someone this was work he didn't have to do, and could have easily left it up to me to do myself. Horrible tow company. Will not tow on an unpaved road, yet they're contracted with AAA to service part of the rural mountain communities. Had them refuse a tow through a AAA call because part of the route was on a dirt road. Don't call them, avoid them at all costs Edit: after the owners response, I will edit my review from "avoid them at all costs" to: avoid if you don't want a lengthy, headache inducing, frustrating experience that might not even solve your tow problem. Not only is my review from personal experience, but I have heard other stories exactly like mine so buyer beware. I am an ICU/ER nurse from San Francisco, I am driving to Fresno every week to work in their COVID ICU as they are quite inundated with incredibly sick patients. I was driving back to the city and was blindsided by another vehicle (going 50 mph) and my car was totaled. Luckily I made it out alive however I was so stressed trying to figure out the fine details (insurance, car rental, towing my vehicle back to city, etc) of the incident and how it was going to affect me getting back home. The police officer ended up calling the towing company because it would be faster than Geico's towing service, this was the biggest blessing! Dave was so incredibly caring, empathetic, reassuring and helpful! I was crying, on the phone with Geico, speaking to the officer/trying to give a verbal statement, and I was trying to unload my belongings from my car so I could take them with me in the Uber when I was dropped off at the rental car company. Dave repeatedly reminded me to take my time (to take deep breaths), that every was going to be ok, that he wasn't going to leave me until my Uber arrived, AND he was quite reassuring to me when I displayed some concern regarding belongings I had to leave in the vehicle, as I couldn't fit them in the Uber. He stated that his property is a locked indoor garage and that no one has access to it outside of him and his daughter, who works in the office. After hearing this, I did let out a sigh of relief as I was super stressed about trying to get my YETI cooler unloaded from the car, in addition to a huge amount of toilet paper I just bought at Costco, etc! I can't recommend D & K Towing enough! If you want to have a compassionate, helpful, and understanding Towing company/service, this is definitely the highest caliber towing service I have ever received! Absolutely horrible service. They towed my car after an accident - did not even ask me where I wanted it towed. towed it to their facility and began charging overnight fee, did not let me know that they were AAA authorised. . By the time I found out where my car was, it was already 3 days. I called them on the phone, was give a location, and I offered to pay them over the phone for them to tow it back thru AAA, they wanted me to come there physically and pay them. I went over physically, they told me the car was somewhere else, and I had to go THERE - the next day. Meanwhile they kept adding up the charges. When I finally called the next day to ask about coming over and making payments, I was told no one was available and they would call me back. I am not sure when anyone will call me back ! I have registered a complaint with BBB. Perhaps all of you should. This is the second time this company has overcharged. A few years ago, my car broke down on Target on Herndon/Willow, and I called AAA to have the car towed to Herndon/Blackstone. Instead of taking the direct route, I was given a merry go round route at the end of which they had a horrendous bill for me to pay, because we had exceeded the towing limit I had on AAA. No reason why he could not have gone straight on Herndon !!! As I said, I have reported. Perhaps all others must report to BBB also. They do take action when a lot of people report. M. read more
