Growing up my local card store was a piece of my childhood. But times have changed as the sports card market has. I'll keep it simple for everyone. Pros: I've had good encounters here with the staff. Everyone is friendly and approachable. When I see reviews about the staff being nasty, I really haven't seen that. They also give out base cards to young kids for free which is very nice. Cons: The prices are out of control. I understand there needing to be a decent markup. But a lot of these packs or boxes are marked up 100-200%. Back in the day you used to go to a card store for hobby products. Now all these stores are filled with retail stuff. Card stores like this are hitting up places like Target, Walmart, etc and buying up the hot retail product and reselling it for much higher. It's just sleazy. Now not all card stores are like this. While it's a joke, Grand Slam Collectibles in West Islip is much fairer with prices and also really friendly people. I wouldn't spend my money here. read more

Went in to see what they had for sports cards. All prices reflected typical hobby markup, as expected. But my 2-star review isn't for that. When I asked for the price of items with no price sticker, it felt like they were charging live market prices because it felt they were looking on eBay for the non-stickered items, in addition to whatever was in the case for singles and rookie cards. To me, that's a bit shady. Mark your prices. They have a wide selection but be prepared for an inconsistent price. Will not return. read more

I honestly can't say anything nice about this store or the people that work there. I would have loved to have given my business to a local store; however based on my experience I will not be returning to this location again. My 11 year old son called to find out how much a football card pack cost, and they refused to tell him a price over the phone. When we went in there the prices were not posted, in addition when asked the card packs were price gauged, and once again the people that worked there were beyond unfriendly. Lots of cards but the pricing is done by the attendant checking the price on ebay then giving you the same price. Absolutely ridiculous!!! I tried to give the money to the mom and pop store but its obvious they don't want my money and prefer i just buy online. Who cares that someone in Ohio wants twice the retail for a box. I will not return here until they put prices on boxes. Keep you cards and I hope others follow !!! read more

This place has it all. I was recommended to come here to pick out darts for my leauge and really didn't have much knowledge. The owners are beyond helpful and knowledgeable. They have 2 practice boards and let you shoot the darts until you find a perfect set that fits you. But that's not all. I am an avid card collector and seller. The amount of inventory in the store is incredible. From high end to cases 8 years old. This is where it's at! When you leave you feel like a winner already. I can happily say of all the times I have been there I never left and ended up with a complete dud of a box. I have always made my money back plus much more. It's my go to lucky spot. Hot boxes more then not. Number 1 location to hit BIG. If I could post pictures I would, but I can honestly say, out of what I spent buying boxes of cards I easily made that money back 3 fold.
