Crafts and tons of options for sewing and knitting etc. theres a huge fabric selection in the back area as well. Everything is decently priced too. I've been hearing about Hobby Lobby for years. Mostly positive, some negative.... Figured I'd just have to find out for myself! I needed a boatload of house items to redecorate a room. Not being a fan of leisurely strolls in a store (anymore) I decided to order a ton of items online. Two frames didn't work out so off to the matzopizza location for a return we go! I wander in and gasp... This. Store. Is Yuuuugge. ADD set in and soon after they processed my return I was skipping up and down the aisles. Quirky signs? Fake greenery? Succulents that never die? Yep, need to see it all... A fair amount of items lean towards a Southern/Farmhouse and corny theme so it's a love it or hate it kinda deal. Think budget Magnolia with crafts, fabrics and frames. Speaking of crafts, it does seem the home decor/tchakis section dominates the space more than a Karen with a non working coupon. Therefore, if you're looking more for crafting/DYI items you may be limited and head toward the store that rhymes with cycles. In-store sales are far superior to online so you'll have to get your keester in gear and check it all out. Just not on Sunday! read more

Easy store to get lost in. Tons of arts & crafts, and DIY. I fell in love with a bunch of decorations they had, as well as signs. Great place if you like to do things yourself. Tons of sales when I stopped by. Most items were 40% off which was nice. read more

Upon shopping and finally finding some holiday items I enjoy, I proceeded to ask about a Hanukkah display. To my horror and insult and rage to find out that the employee said, "We don't have THAT KIND OF DISPLAY here. We don't see THAT STUFF!!!" With that I dropped the $250 worth of items on the floor and in a loud voice said that "I WILL NEVER SHOP IN THIS STORE EVER, EVER AGAIN!!" this Hobby lobby should be abolished!! read more

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE. Please save yourself from the headache of having to deal with people at this store. I made an order for custom frames on February 5th, employee gave me a completion date of February 20th, but said that was an estimate and they will contact me when it's ready. Low and behold March came and heard nothing. Called the store several times, THEY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. March 10, a whole 19 days after the due date I am finally able to get someone on the phone, and they transfer me and I was on hold for 25 MINUTES!! Only to be told oh yea its ready for pick up. Thanks for the heads up I guess noone would have told me if I didn't call. Also when placing the order I was quoted $100- $120. Ends up its going too cost me $200! It was my first time going to hobby lobby and I found everything I needed. I wanted to get some melting chocolate and molds for the holiday season but a lot of stores were sold out. I traveled about 30 minutes to hobby lobby just to get it and they do not disappoint. The staff was also very friendly when i called on the phone in advance to make sure they had a decent amount in stock. I will be returning in the future for more baking needs! read more

The OBVIOUS reason why it's not a 5 star is because they are closed on Sundays. Which is probably saving me a lot of money. Anywho, this place is Heaven on earth. Always up to date, clean, welcoming, and has great store policies. My previous visit though, the cashier stuck out to me. I love Hobby Lobby and wish they would open up a store in Nassau!! Even put a call into Corporate a few years back! There are so many potential spots with all the businesses that have folded here ie all the A.C. MOORE LOTS....that it behooves them not too. I'm a fanatic for decorating and crafting and love the way the stores are merchandised , how vast the variety of merchandise is and the great pricing. STAFF is always very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Hobby Lobby ...and this is coming from someone with over 32 years of running stores. Of course many are upset their not open on Sunday but it's obvious their that successful and devout that it doesn't matter to them. read more

Strange vibe in this store, and cannot put my finger on it. A lot of merchandise, maybe too much, its dizzying. Didn't find what I needed, so just looked around at the over abundance of chochkas, dust collecting useless items. Was minding my business walking down an aisle, when this moron with a hand cart, obviously someone who works there, came barreling into the aisle I was in doing 90mph, and almost mowed me down if I hadn't moved out of harms way. He never slowed down or stopped, but actually said 'how are you', as in hello, not how are you because I almost hit you with my cart. What kind of moron goes thru a crowded store, practically running with a hand cart, not paying the slightest attention, or not yielding to any person who's there, and not even stopping!! Before I even stepped foot in here-- I just assumed it was another craft store with those horrific fake flowers and that "what is that weird smell?" smell -- But no Ladies and Germs: this is the "Led Zeppelin" of craft stores! It's HUGE inside and H. Lobby lots of things the other craft palaces miss. Some examples: 1) A pretty extensive "man cave" section with fake, but nice looking tin "antique" signs and other decor (Gulf Oil, Coke, Nascar, lots of bull and rodeo themes, wooden signs, garage and gas station stuff) . If you and your buds want to play "American Pickers" in your own backyard , this is the place for you! But who plays the role of the cranky old man with the barn ? YOU decide. 2) Pro-grade art supplies (Windsor & Newton Oil paint, etc.) and other things that will surprise you (if you are in the art field). 3) ENORMOUS fabric section that says " dreary Jo-Ann's Fabrics: Kiss My Ass". Huge selection of fabrics that would enable you to make your own wedding dress, upholster an old couch, and knit baby booties all in one day! 4) (and this is my FAVORITE part) Lots and lots of sale and clearance items! There was a big section of last summer / spring stuff and Trixie scored a fairly big tin sign of a vintage owl (that looked just like the old Wise potato chip owl) advertising a "24 hour coffee shop" that looked pretty darn realistic! $40.00 marked down to $17.00 Nice! I scored a few nice things as well. The layout, lighting and music here are nice and mellow . Isles are nice and wide. Associates friendly and helpful too (unlike Michael's). Now the prices here are not cheap by any means --BUT no higher than the other national leading craft stores. The "sales" here are great and they are good with coupons too! Now- the reason for taking off one star. CLOSED SUNDAY ..... just like the chicken chokers at Chick-Fil-A over in Hicksville . This is, to me, a passive-aggressive way of saying "Come Worship the Lord as we do" . As if it's 1961 and Massapequa is a town in the deep south or something. Weird. read more

Wow! I cant believe I just discovered this location. This location is a good size and very busy! There is plenty of parking since it's in a little shopping area. The lines were kind of long but they went fairly quick. Those location is very well organized and well stocked. There are plenty of sales associates walking around to help. I love hobby lobby because just about everything is on sale.. 30%-80%.. they have so many things that I can just spend the whole day in there. read more

There was a white man following me around in the store. I felt extremely uncomfortable to the point where I just left my cart and left. Gave it 1 star since opting out of stars is not an option. For the first minute it seemed like a pseudo church. If you have a religious article on you which can be seen and doesn't represent Christianity then don't ask for assistance. I was told Hobby Lobby doesn't recognize my request for an item I was looking for. No arguing or nasty comments ensued between us. Actually I laughed to myself when I walked away. I didn't let it deter me so I browsed up and down the aisles putting items in my cart that I didn't want. Ended up with 2 carts and waited on a long line ahead of me and an even longer line behind me. Finally I was at the cashier, my bill came to a little over $500. When she waited for me to pay I smiled and said "changed my mind I don't want any items." She went ballistic along with the others within ear shot. I smiled at the little guy who told me my request wasn't recognized. Waved goodbye to all the hypocrites and went to Shop and Stop. They had what I needed and it wasn't food. read more

What a great store! It's way better than Michael's by way of variety. All of the seasons are represented (at least when I was there a few days ago) and there are other unique items. They have a whole section of tin signs, with a range of themes. Lots of man cave, garage decor as well as for kids. I would come here anytime over Michael's. The prices were very comparable to Michael's as well. I'm a huge fan!!! read more
