It's been awhile since I've seen them but my cat Basil who is still thriving btw, I've had him…read moresince he was in the palm of my hand and at 5 years in he started getting gnarly bladder crystals and stopped up, extremely traumatic for him and myself, so midnight ER visits to get him unplugged, ect. They wanted to do a 2000 maybe 3 surgery on him, same with another emergency vet, 3rd times the charm I took him into warr acres, because I'd been before and heard how they actually care for the pets there not just $$$ and to my knowledge... they did not perform the surgery. I'm not sure what they did, but I payed 600 dollars and they kept him for days until he was stable gave him back and I think it's been 2-3 years since then with no issues to basil at all. Idk what they did, if they had a heart and did the surgery or what happened but my baby has been alive and THRIVING ever since he was seen at warr acres.

Do you see that beautiful little baby girl in the photos? Her name was Katniss Everdeen…read more On November 27th-28th we noticed that she wasn't eating or going to the bathroom, but she was still drinking water. My wife and I decided that we would take her in to have her checked out on Saturday the 29th. Once we were seen and finished telling the vet what was going on, the first words out of his mouth were; Well, we close at noon today, so we'll see what we can do. Red Flag #1 My wife and I left, because I had to take her to work, he said he would let us know what they find out. About an hour later I get a call from an assistant saying that they would like to do x-rays, bloodwork, etc. I said; Do it. About another hour went by and I get a 2nd call from the assistant saying that the vet would like to speak to me. He starts speaking like her life is over and yet she was just fine walking around drinking water, she just wouldn't go to the bathroom or eat. He started saying that she has chronic kidney failure. He would like to have her brought in every day to have fluids injected under her skin, but didn't want to do anything else. #Red Flag #2 On Sunday she was still walking around on her own, drinking out of her water bowl, but still not eating or using the bathroom. I let him know this on Monday when I brought her in for her under the skin fluid injection. He didn't seem to care, he just wanted to pawn her off onto the assistants to do the fluid injection and left the room. He was in the room maybe 10 seconds. Red Flag #3 Before leaving I asked the assistant if she would ask him how long he wants to do these injections under the skin, he wouldn't even come into the room to talk, he just told her; everyday until she's better. Red Flag #4 Brought her in on Tuesday December 2nd for another under the skin fluid injection. Told him the same thing, except this time I told him that she wasn't eating, drinking or using the bathroom now. All his response was; force her to eat/drink. He didn't want to check on anything else. Red Flag #5 That night, she was so weak that she couldn't even stand, she would try to get up, then just flop over. She just sat there, still being the lovey cat she's always been as I would pet her. That night I slept on the floor with her. I was laying next to her as she took her last breath and passed away just after 2am on December 3rd 2025 which hurts even more, because that morning and same time just happen to be my birthday. After doing some research and talking to some other places we found out that there could've been more done and her life could've been saved, she could've lived for years and years, but he just wanted to give her fluids under the skin and get her out of the office. They said more could've been done and she would've lived a longer life, if the right care would've been issued the FIRST TIME! I should've taken her somewhere else. I wish I would've taken her somewhere else. If I had only known that this VET really only cared about money, then I would have, but now we know. Besides not eating or going to the bathroom a lot, she was still running around the house playful as could be, like always. Let this be your warning, not your heartbreak. I miss my little monkey, she was my little peeker. She loved to lick my face/fingers to let me know that she was ready to crawl into bed under the covers, she loved to sleep in the bed with me (us) at night, she loved to play with her oven mitts in the middle of the night, she loved to open the utensil drawers to sit inside them while we slept, she loved hopping all over plastic shopping bags to hide inside of them, like a pile of leaves. Her favorite spot laying in the cat tree basket is now empty. Her favorite spot on the couch is now empty. Her favorite spot on the kitchen table is now empty. Her favorite spot on the bed is now empty. A piece of us is now gone. It hurts even more now knowing more could've been done, he just didn't want too. Congratulations Veterinarian Wilkins. You've let another loving pet die, because you just didn't have time. There just wasn't enough money to be made on this one. Folks, let this be your warning, not your heartbreak. I miss my little baby girl and I wouldn't be, if I would've just paid attention to the red flags.

I started coming here during Covid. Just needed a quick wellness check for both my large dogs so we…read morecould get their Heartworm meds and vaccinations going. I didn't realize til a year later they only charged for one pup due to the pandemic. We came back for their annual and today for a last minute nail trim. I didn't even know they were open. They just squeezed us in with an open appointment. I was actually on my way somewhere else to get their nails trimmed because they were just a little closer to home and said they would be open on a Saturday. Their sign was closed, and when they finally text back, they said they weren't opening today despite their social media post. I have not been to that place since because of their social media as well as my dogs not liking them - despite it being closer to home. So I called Woodlake. I already had my pups with me out running other errands. They have been amazing. One of my other dogs had passed, and we called to tell them. A week later, they mailed us a sympathy card. Great place. Everyone has been very kind and caring. We see whoever is available, and I have not had any issues with any of the vets there. I'd rather travel a little out of the way for kinder people.

Now I am furious with them for too many reasons to elaborate fully here. They have gotten even more expensive, their record keeping is incredibly sloppy (read nonexistent) about which they seem totally unconcerned, records obtained are incomprehensible (and I was there!). As is typical, the last time I called I was put on hold for over 17 minutes before anyone answered. There are many other vet options in OKC that are much better.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but as someone who relies on honest feedback to choose care for my…read moreanimals, I felt it was important to share my experience. While the staff is nice enough, the combination of administrative errors and a judgmental tone led me to take my business elsewhere. The Experience: I brought in my former feral cat for severe environmental allergies. It was a frustrating start; the vet intended to send us home with ear drops after a culture, but failed to communicate this or provide the medication. I left empty-handed and confused, only receiving the medicine at a follow-up after they realized their error. Mistakes happen, and I was willing to overlook this to continue his care. The Concern: Despite the confusing nature of my cat's allergies, I felt the plan of care was nebulous. I ended up doing hours of my own research to understand his triggers and treatment options--information I expected to receive from the professional I was paying. The Breaking Point: After a recent flare-up caused by new pillows in our home, my fiancé called to schedule a follow-up. Instead of being met with help, the receptionist questioned why we had "waited so long" to call since his last visit. After we were patient with their previous medical oversight, being met with an inference that we weren't providing timely care for our pet was the final straw. We found a different clinic that saw him that same afternoon and will be taking all three of our cats there from now on. I wanted to love this place based on a friend's recommendation, but the lack of a clear treatment plan and the condescending tone on the phone were dealbreakers.

I was wondering why we could not just talk about the price over the phone. I have much more than 'sticker shock' after seeing the amount on the estimate. $659.40 was the 'low price' and 912.56 was the 'high price' I was so much in shock I had to look up statistical data telling me what the average cost for spaying a cat was. The price range for private practices is $300-$500. I still don't know what most of the 11 line items on the estimate include but I do note that one of them was simply "Convenience fee *Credit card charge*" for 22.30 low and 30.86 high. And the spay estimate includes a microchip implant. I did not ask for cost to have this procedure done. I just want to get her spayed at the moment. Hope will be seeing a new veterinarian from this point forward. I am not a rich man. And I do not like extras thrown in when I am simply trying to determine how much I need to save to have ONE procedure completed.

I am incredibly disappointed with the lack of customer service and basic compassion at this clinic…read more I had an appointment scheduled for 4:30 PM for my dog who needed urgent care. Because I live 30 minutes away and had to rush home to get my dog during peak rush hour traffic, I proactively called ahead to let them know I was running late. Instead of showing any understanding for a working person trying to get medical attention for their pet, they were completely rigid. They strictly enforced a "grace window" policy, entirely dismissing the fact that they still had a full hour left before closing at 6:00 PM. To make matters worse, when we called to ask about payment options, the staff treated my wife with an absolute lack of respect. Their only solutions were entirely unrealistic for the average working person. They flippantly told me to just "reschedule" (which isn't easy when you work until 5:30 PM every day) or suggested I drop my dog off at 7:30 AM and leave her there until 6:00 PM. Why would I trust an establishment to watch my dog all day when they've already made it clear they don't care enough to do what they can to see her? This place operates like a rigid corporate machine, not a veterinary clinic that cares about animals or the people who love them. If you work a regular job or expect to be treated with basic respect and empathy during a stressful time with your pet, look elsewhere. They clearly do not care.
