Our 3rd visit to this clinic. Our first visit we were informed no appointments available, except Saturday. Basically, first come, first serve. Makes sense and workable. First visit went well, 20-minute wait, but overall care for our dog was fabulous. Very reasonable fees too. Next trip was for meds only, unlike other vets, an appointment charge was not required. Another win! Unfortunately, today, less than an acceptable visit. stopped in at 11:23am, was told that all vets were at lunch, understandable, so non-issue. We purchased the needed meds, $439. An employee apologized that no vet was available but suggested we come back again at 1:30 pm. We did so, actually 1:15 pm. Two others were there before us, so not a huge time concern, plus I falsely assumed that been asked back at 1:30 pm from the no vet available at 11:30 am, we would have a priority attention. After waiting nearly 90 minutes, a long wait to be sure, but the frustration was that four other people came in after us, but were attended to before us? Their protocols and communication were very confsuing and seemingly inconsitantly enforced. A total wait time for the day nearly three hours. When I went to the check in counter expressing my confusion and dissatisfaction, then, miracuoulsy, they could "get me in" next. It was a frustrating experience, an unnecessary waste of time for me and very traumatic for our 14-year-old dog. She spent the same three hours shaking, shivering and fearful. Very unprofessional communication and concern today for us and our dog. Batting zero no, dropped from batting 1000, at best the clinic is a roll of the dice. Didn't live to the rave reviews I had heard about the clinic. Hence the maybe recommend rating. read more

I've used Britton road vet clinic for about 10 years now. My shih tzu started to have seizures and became worse over time where he was having 5 plus a week. I met with dr mauldin and we decided on a game plan with meds meanwhile watching his blood levels as they could fluctuate when on meds. Some of my questions and constant dog parent worries had to be annoying but Dr mauldin answered all my questions so happily. My dog got his teeth cleaned there all the techs got me right in helped me with everything. My dog eventually had to lose his eye dr riffell performed this surgery and he is another very patient caring doctor i have come across here. Mauldin and Riffell both have such compassion and care with every situation. I won't use anyone else until these guys retire. I adore the vets here because they're so patient and helpful. They genuinely care and take the time to explain things to you. Not once you do feel rushed ever. Recently my other dog had to have spleen removal and underwent a major surgery mauldin updated me sent photos and just confirmed again why i go here -- your dogs are in great care with the vets here and try to always provide you with multiple options and game plans on how to figure out any situation. read more

Took our old lady cat, Penny, here. They diagnosed her with a dead tooth that needed removal, and asked for consent to remove any other teeth needed removal. I agreed to let the doctor use discretion on what to remove. Penny had no teeth when I picked her up. She was never able to eat the same again and died a few moths after, but lot before she lost half of her body weight due to the trouble eating. Also, her eye was damaged because of the surgery, such that it wouldn't close and required saline drops every few hours. The doctor should have called before removing every one of her teeth; although I consented to allowing the removal, I never would have expected for ALL of them to be removed. Finally, the doctor who performed the surgery left Britton Road shortly after Penny's surgery, which could be coincidence but certainly seemed sus based on the circumstances. I would go somewhere else because they caused Penny to suffer through a long, sad, and helpless death. read more

Dr. Johnson performed his surgery and he healed perfectly. They were available for any concern or question I had and helped me throughout his healing. Britton Vet is doing curbside service where you call and check in and they take your pet while you wait in the car. The process was easy and fast. We were recommended to the vet when we moved here two years ago. I never liked that we didn't have one actual doctor being assigned to our dog, which means they don't really get to "know" your pet. After being charged for several visits and shots since March and no action taken by the any of the veterinarians to figure out the root of our dog's allergies, I'm done with this place. The final straw was being asked to complete a satisfaction survey that they clearly did NOT read. Had to take her to another vet today because she is so much worse. She has been diagnosed with parvo and is fighting for her life. How do you miss that? They've been taking care of my cats for about four years and it's been good. Staff and docs are friendly and remember the pets most of the time. It's a small waiting area, so I recommend avoiding the Saturday walk-in if you can. After being on hold for over 10 minutes I was hung up on and called back 3 times when asking if I could be put on hold I politely said no I just have a quick question and was hung up on two additional times! I couldn't ask for a more compassionate group of Doctors and staff when I had to put my 8 yr, old baby to sleep because of cancer. they gave me all the time I needed to hold her say good bye, thru all of the tears I finally let go, and with sedation I felt my baby relax and fall asleep. My old dog jumped off the couch and hurt her back leg. I was frantically yelping to find some place to take her. I'm so glad I came here. We waited for about 20-30 minutes to be seen-not bad considering the waiting room was pretty full for a Monday morning. The vet, Greg Riffell, was awesome. Best vets in OKC! Britton Road Veterinary Clinic is a walk in clinic. I came on a Friday morning, and the waiting area was packed. I filled out a short form, and Marcie and I were on the list. I'm glad the crowd didn't scare me into leaving because I only had to wait for fifteen minutes before seeing Dr. Perteet. She greeted Marcie with a treat, asked me about any recent medical concerns, then took my pup back for a quick exam and booster shots. She gave useful, cost effective tips for taking care of my dog's teeth. I estimated that this visit would run close to two hours, but we were in and out of there in forty minutes. Highway robbery!!! No vet is worth these prices. Rescue was going to take a cat found abandoned by my friend and she took here for shots, including test and shot for FELUK/FIV and fecal. Just a droncit pill would have eliminated all worms and cost much less. Cost was $217; Reasonable cost would have been $124. They took advantage of her lack of knowledge of routine medical required for rescues and her age made her vulnerable and they took advantage of her. I politely called and asked if perhaps an error had been made in calculating her bill and I was harshly told those were the prices and if I didn't like them to go elsewhere. Which I will and hope others reading this review will do likewise. There are low cost spay/neuter clinics in OK where it would have cost $60 and a Spay would add $35 to that. Britton Road spay is $200 at least. $417 vs $85. Services are the same. You judge who is gouging clients!!! I gave 1 Star because I could not use 0 and still post review. read more

I am a visitor from out of state, and my 5 pound Yorkie developed an abscessed tooth that worked its way through his cheek, causing a bloody mess beneath his eye on his muzzle. We took him to the emergency vet and then I called around to a lot of vets to see about getting it pulled. Everyone was at least one month out, and that level of infection in a 5 lb Yorkie is serious. I took him in as a walk-in and Dr Mauldin saw him and did the abstraction plus 3 other teeth that very day. What a compassionate, understanding vet he is! The staff was amazing; we can't thank Dr Mauldin and his team enough for taking care of our baby. Will only go to Dr Mauldin when visiting here. read more

Would give 0 stars if possible. I worked here about 7 months ago and personally hated every second of it. The two ladies on the grooming staff who have been there for like 20 years need to go. In my two months of being there three different people started and left because of the way the two ladies treat everyone. If you mess up once you may as well quit bc they won't let you forget it and if you came there to bond with dogs forget it. They are very rude and rough with any dog who even slightly misbehaves as someone who has a huge passion for dogs I couldn't stand the way they acted towards them. Also if you board your dogs they go potty twice a day for maybe 5 minutes other than that they sit in a run and cry. Owners of facility are fully aware of the way the groomers treat the dogs and won't do anything about it. DO NOT WORK HERE OR TAKE YOUR DOGS TO BE GROOMED. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE TO DOGS!!! Like if you can't be patient then you shouldn't be a groomer period. read more

I walked in and got in quickly; Dr. Lisa Parks met with me and she was super nice and informative. I didn't feel judged and I felt cared for when I was crying over problems my cat was having. I got my puppy spayed here last week and she literally came home covered in her own pee/poop. She also had a huge spot of blood from where her IV was. I understand accidents happen, but WHY did they not clean her up?! She literally smelled so bad we had to get creative and wash all the poop off her without getting her incision site wet. read more
