Best car rental experience in my life!!! Felt like I was renting from a close family member! Walked past all the name brand agency counters with long lines to find a driver waiting for us. He drove us to the office several hundred yards from the airport. By the time I could walk in and announce my name, then walk back out, the driver had transferred our bags to the rental SUV - we hoped in and drove away...I was a mile down the road before I realized we didn't walk around looking for scratches...they are just so hassle free and laid back that I didn't bother. Vacation truly started the moment we were picked up at the airport. The return was just as easy!! The SUV was perfect as we loaded up SCUBA equipment and made amazing reef dives around the island - price was super and included insurance...all drivers over 25 could drive without extra charge...no surprise fees. Read about D&D on TripAdvisor as well - and it's no joke how easy & great it was. I priced out on a national rental company just to see, and D&D was much better priced. Reservation was old school - I emailed them, I received a form to fill out and I emailed back after completion - that's it! When I didn't receive my confirmation by the week of my trip, I emailed and received a response right away - just a slight oversight but quickly resolved. There was instructions on how to get to their office (offsite down the street from airport). And when we arrived, Daniel was there to pick us up! (So glad as I was getting a little confused by the location of the shuttle stop - you may want to ask for a picture of the exact location) We got a Jeep Compass - not exactly "economy" and we're glad we had a SUV instead of a tiny car during a morning rain storm (streets don't drain so well there). We also got a free local cell phone to use - came in handy when we needed to reach Daniel when we were running behind to return car. Yes, it was cash - but he didn't even ask for it until we returned the car - the whole process was quick and easy and personable. HIGHLY recommend using them for car rental. read more

Best rental car experience ever! Easy communication via email with lots of great information. When landing, go outdoors & walk past the chain car rentals. Cross the street and they will be right there & drive you about 2 minutes. Simple paperwork, given a map, & he even put the grocery in the gps! Upon return, they asked how our week was & drove us right to the airport in our car. The car was great! SO SIMPLE, PROFESSIONAL, & WONDERFUL!! Would definitely use them again! read more

D&D Car Rental - highly recommend. They were quite a bit less than other car rental companies & included full insurance. We had a small problem finding the pick up at the airport (almost off the airport property - so make sure to follow any directions they include with your confirmation), then were taken to their nearby location. Quite quick to do any paperwork, then we were on our way....well almost. Got about a block or two away and found that one of the tires was low. Found our way back and got that fixed promptly. We had no further problems and on return they transferred us back to the airport. read more

My wife and I rented a convertible from D&D for our honeymoon. The car was fantastic and while the hot island days made putting the top down problematic we loved early morning and evening drives around the island with the wind in our hair. The price was very competitive and they included a free GPS since it was our first time on the island. I paid in cash which was a little strange as all the national companies require a credit card but it was no problem. Our only complaint was when we returned the car no one was there so we had to wait quite some time for a ride to the airport outside. Despite that misunderstanding I will absolutely use them the next time we are on Curacao! read more

We arrived in Curaçao a week ago. When we arrived at the airport Daniel was waiting outside for us with a sign. He was waiting with two vans. We had rented one but there was eight of us so he said he would follow in another van with our luggage. His mom drove one can and he drove the other. He took us to our place. He gave us a local cellphone to have for the week and a gps(both for free). He was very friendly! On the day we were leaving he came back to the house with an extra vehicle to take our luggage back to the airport. I highly recommend using D & D rental!! Great experience! read more

D & D Car Rental is located in Willemstad, Curacao. I discovered it by accident while I was reading about Curacao on TripAdvisor. Several people had recommended D & D, saying that the people who run the agency are extremely nice, efficient and offer the best prices bar-none. I contacted D & D by email, they replied promptly. They require no deposit, they accept cash and they include a cell phone for the price of the rental. When my girlfriend and I arrived in Curacao, we were met by Daniel (one of the people who runs the agency). He was very polite and professional, he led us to the car in the parking lot, programmed our GPS (we opted for GPS for an extra $5 per day), showed us how to use the cell phone and handed us the keys. I gave him the cost of the rental in cash in an envelope and that was it. The car was great, we had no problems and the GPS was a life saver. I highly recommend this car rental company- they may be small, but they offer excellent prices and service. D & D Car Rental is the hidden gem of Curacao. read more
