I do not understand the one star review. This is an amazing place! After a lot of research, our…read moreclose friends moved cross country so that their child could attend Havern. They talk non-stop about how grateful they are for this school and how transformative it has been for their child. Their child did not like school and did not play with other kids their age - they were timid and frightened. Now their child loves school and is a social butterfly - finding friends in their age group and beyond. There child has complained that they don't want the school year to end because they want to keep going to Havern every day. We are supporters of the school because the love and dedication given to each child is who attends is easy to see. If a child is having challenges, they respond right away by trying different teaching modalities or a different teacher until they find the right fit for that child. I've never seen that kind of responsiveness from a school. Do not let the lack of reviews here fool you - there is a reason families move from other states, cross country, or drive over an hour each way to go to Havern. I think most families, like our friends, are private and want to protect their child's privacy, which is why there are so few reviews here.

I watched unhappy parents taking their children out of the school in the middle of the school year. Beware!

Education /academic meet our expectations, at least we don't have to worry democrats will attack us when talk about biblical and about our GOD. I love how our son is being teach bible, and moral is recognized. Great school and teachers know their students, love how the teachers manage car line . GOD BLESS DC and every teachers : students.

Going through the admissions process, it unfortunately became evident that we would not be welcomed or received well at this school. That is fine, I understand that is the case sometimes, but children should not be referred to as "burdens" or "inconveniences". All children should feel loved and supported regardless of where they are in their academic journey. Private schools need to remember that private education is a two way street. We are evaluating you just as much as you are evaluating families. Based on multiple interactions with admissions, I would not enroll my children at this school. I'm sure there are fine people that work here and care about the kids, but when the gate keepers seem judgmental, bias, and indifferent towards your children and situation, it unfortunately deters people. "In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16
