A week later I went back and he handed me my boots... with the wrong sole, not what I ordered. They were of a similar type so I didn't complain but on one of them the sole was glued on kind of crooked. So, pretty mediocre over all but at least I can wear them. On the second pair, a pair of Red Wings, Mike glued on the correct sole, perfectly centered, and they looked great. It wasn't until I put them on that I realized the boots had no shank and no midsole. No shank is no big deal.
