This is an ok hotel in the 3rd arrondisement. The positives - the room size and amenities are above average for a 2 star hotel in Paris. There was AC in my room, although the thermostat was stuck at 16C (60F) but it was 70 outside, so I never noticed. The windows open easily and there's a awning outside you can roll down. There is a hot water kettle there with powdered coffee and tea, plus a small refrigerator/cooler! The bed was on the firm side, but after walking 10,000 steps every day, I didn't care. The Hotel de Ville metro stop is on the same block or it's about a 10 minute walk the Chateles-Les Halles
There were elements which were not great or not well thought out. Breakfast was not included for me, so be sure to ask and at 11 EU, you can do so much better elsewhere. The shower floor was odd because it was sloped and at the top end, didn't have a lip which meant that water poured out onto the floor every time I took a shower. The room get a little stuffy without some kind of circulation and I had the windows open most of the time.
Oh, and there is NO ELEVATOR and the stairs are crooked, sloped, twisting and uneven. Be very careful on the stairs, I nearly tripped twice and that was going slow.
Overall - if I wanted to stay in Marais again, I would consider this hotel. read more
