I talked to Paul in the office, who arranged for his outside guy, Mo, to come out and do an estimate. Everyone was pleasant to deal with and the price was reasonable -- about the same as what we had been paying. They get 1/2 up front and then 1/2 on completion. In just a few days, a dump truck from Whittlesey put the 12 yards of mulch on our driveway. A couple guys from Austinscapes were there that afternoon and by mid-day the next day, they had it all done. Turned out to be a perfect estimate on the amount of mulch needed and took less time to get done than I would have thought. They cleaned up nicely. What's not to like?

We originally requested just the leaves but ended up needing the whole lawn mowed because, well, we let it get a wee bit out of hand over the months (there were several weeds the height of small children in the backyard...eep!). Paul was not only super kind and easy to work with but his team was AMAZING!! In a mere 2.5/3 hours, they did the amount of work that would have taken us several backbreaking weekends. Not to mention, they even trimmed our hedges and did some edging work which really put the cherry on the cake. My boyfriend was like a kid in a candy shop, racing around to all of our windows to watch in amazement as they transformed our sad-looking yard into a modern-day Eden while I basked in the glory of this great decision (and my fortuitous situation of finding these guys). Also, the price was AWESOME. Paul cut us a very affordable deal where other services would have charged a fortune for such a beautiful and perfectly executed job. Our neighbors are green with envy and I'm not complaining. Can't wait to give these guys a call next year!

I called, the service was rescheduled for two days later. Stayed home all day so that the broken branch and another branch could be taken care of. It was another NO SHOW and no call or text! My neighbor hired them and we were lucky enough to be there and witness Carlos and his crew first-hand. We watched as Carlos discussed with my neighbors where he thought would be best to cut to keep the tree healthy, what needed to go, what shouldn't be touched at all. He is truly in the camp of "less is more" and was extremely thorough about discussing, checking, and rechecking before actually making cuts. Then he also pointed out where poison ivy had been growing along the tree and discussed options of how to actually get rid of it for good (seriously, I was there for maybe 5 minutes and learned so much---this is a skilled arborist company, they really know their stuff!). Then my family and I moved to a new house that had numerous trees that needed a little TLC---some branches that were too close to the roof, some trees that just needed the dead cleared away, etc. Again, Carlos and his crew arrived on scene in a timely manner, then proceeded to walk the entire property and mark all places they thought would be best to cut (while ultimately deferring to my husband & I on if that was what WE wanted). After everything was marked, the crew got to work while Carlos supervised the entire time. He brought us out again after the cuts were all made, and then again for a final walk-through to make sure that we were satisfied with all of the clean-up. Our trees are now all happy, healthy and not in danger of hitting our roof (hooray!). We even have a plan in place on what trees to watch for and monitor, and what trees are fine as-is. Seriously, so impressed. We will be using Discount Tree & Land Services for many years to come!

Since we moved here, we had hired multiple people to mow the lawn, but the weeds were out of control and we were having pest issues. From the start, Rod has been extremely helpful in diagnosing the problems with our lawn and following through with the treatments. Great communication, so many other lawn mowers we've had in the past have basically ghosted us. With Rod and his team, we are not only knowing when the lawn will be mowed but he is also keeping track of the weeds, pests, and fungi. Our weeds are not yet gone, but it seems like the pests are, based on the way the grass is growing in. Rod continues to help spray the weeds and keep an eye on them as he comes for our biweekly mowing. The lawn is looking healthier than when we moved in! Amazing value as well - lawn maintenance isn't cheap these days. Looking forward to our continued service.
