We live near this winery and it is the only place I can find my FAVORITE wine. I refuse to say…read morewhich wine it is because then it will sell out! I have turned all my friend's onto it & I am so thankful to have such nice & kind people running this winery. They have always been so generous with their pours & they have always figured out a way for me to get my hands on my favorite wine. I also visit this winery when my family participates as a vendor during their craft/vendor fairs a couple times a year. I bring my daughter with me & sometimes a friend of hers & we always have a really great time. I have been here several times, well, more than several times. Though I am not a member, I sure feel treated like I am a member. I have attended & held fundraisers here & I have been here for live music or just a quiet place to have girlfriend talk. I love that there are different things happening different days, but it isn't overwhelming like other wineries that get so incredibly busy that they lose their charm completely. I appreciate Koi Zen for the zen it brings me. I would 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a place to enjoy wine with friends and/or family. Looking forward to my next visit, even though I just walked out with 3 bottles of my favorite wine tonight! Lisa & Darius & their staff are all great & deserve all the kudos. They all work really hard. With love, The birthday girl

The Staff is super nice and knowledgeable. The wine was amazing. We bought 4 bottles to go.read more

My friend's bridal shower here was absolutely magical! It felt so cutesy dressing up with the girls…read more& definitely tons of photo ops! -Tea: loved having our own individual tea pots & variety of teas to choose from! the waiter shared that the two most popular options were Jasmine with Flowers Green Tea and Scottish Breakfast Tea. i'd suggest giving the tea bag enough time to steep, sugar & cream served on the side. -Food: pleasantly surprised at how moist the sandwiches were & warm scones paired well with their 3 spreads (sweet cream, strawberry jam, lemon curd). our table didn't reach for the sweets much since that came out last & we were filled up by then. tea is served first, then I would say it took about 5-10min for each plate of food to come out following this order: fruits, sandwiches, scones, & sweets. -Decor: abundance of tea time themed trinkets, florals & teaware throughout, cutesy telephone booth, & fun center backdrop! fun to wander around & be immersed in it all! i appreciate that the table runner matched the theme. -Staff: kindly checked up on us throughout & followed up on requests efficiently. they were pleasant and did a great job at hosting such a large party. -Parking: follow google maps & it'll lead you here, then follow the signs up the hill. we parked right in front, but many of us parked on the right side of the hill or on the street. would recommend carpooling as closer parking is limited. I would absolutely recommend Claudia's for an intimate special event or just to have tea time with the girls! It was a beautiful event and we all had such a fun time!

The tea selection is impressive, with something for every taste, and everything I tried was fresh and beautifully prepared. The staff is genuinely welcoming and knowledgeable, happy to make recommendations and create a relaxed, unhurried experience. I came with two friends to celebrate my friend's birthday and Claudia's Tea House is a lovely spot that feels both charming and special. We enjoyed meeting the owner Claudia and hearing her story of how she started this business.

I've drank and eaten here many times throughout the years, why have I not written about Ballast…read morePoint yet? Like every respectable San Diego micro-brewery, Ballast Point has a vast variety of beers from light to dark, all delicious in their own way. But what makes Ballast Point way better than the rest, is the fact that they serve really good food here, very reasonable prices. The complete opposite of high priced small portioned foods from a food truck. $18 Fish and Chips...big fresh beer battered fish..better than most! $20 Brazino, pan seared to perfection, the sauces is amazing! This could easily be a $30-50 entree at another restaurant. Wife was very happy! Pizzas and Brussel Spouts are good too. If you and your pals are talking about hitting up a brewery, and you want good beer and REAL food, Ballast Point is your friend!

Thanks for the memories filled with tasty beers and great food Ballast Point Miramar…read more Upon hearing that Ballast Point Brewing Miramar was closing this December, it was only right to go back one last time to enjoy the space and the beers. With the recent sale to Athletic Brewing, Ballast ceased operations for about 2 years now. The San Diego beer landscape has been changing the last couple of years with consumers drinking less beer, choosing non-alcoholic options and preferring canned cocktails. It was a wonderful space with a large walk bar, extensive dining area and tons of high top tables. The only gripe was the parking which was always difficult to find a spot. If you are a fan of Ballast Point, definitely stop by before they close the Miramar location.
