It did take them 40 minutes to take our orders. There was only 1 server and the owners working so it was understandable. I had great company and a delicious Aperol spritz to keep us company. The food was delicious. We got the arugula salad, grilled calamari, and seafood linguine. I got a tiramisu for my birthday dessert and it was delicious. The owner and server sang Happy Birthday and sent very sweet birthday wishes. I'll be back to try other dishes. Thank you for your warm hospitality and great food.

There was only one polite & welcoming male server taking care of our section. There were other waiters pouring water, delivering/collecting dishes but for everything else, it had to be referred to the server. It's a long wait for water, to order, for food, desserts and bill! We were actually in no rush but that didn't justify so much time waiting, I had same experience waiting before and this should be improved. We all enjoyed the ambience and the foods. They now served the classic British dessert sticky toffee pudding, it's authentic and delicious and please don't miss their tiramisu as well. For the main dish we enjoyed a paccheri pasta dish with very light tomato broth, zucchini and shrimps. I would say it was top notch delicious. We paired it very well with a bottle of Chianti. I brought a group of 12 for a birthday dinner, and from the moment we arrived, we were treated with utter contempt by a server named Gustavo, who apparently also owns the establishment. The disrespect started immediately. While we were simply organizing our seating (before even ordering), he became visibly angry and hostile. After our appetizers arrived, he completely abandoned the table. Our used plates were never cleared, we were never asked how the food was, and we waited over an hour for our main courses. When we tried to order another round of drinks while waiting, Gustavo told us he was "way too busy" to take our order and that we "needed to figure it out" despite us being ready to order. When I politely mentioned that I hadn't ordered an appetizer and was very hungry, asking if my pizza could come out, he snapped, "You will get your order when all the others come out. I'm not going to push ahead your order for that." The "owner" then had the audacity to lecture us, raising his voice and telling us, "this is what I mean with you guys," because we had adjusted our seats at the beginning of the night. When I finally asked for the bill to escape the situation, he brought me someone else's check. When I pointed out the error, he blamed us again, laughed in our faces, and scoffed. When we told him we wanted to speak to someone above him, he condescendingly told us, "You're not in this industry, you don't know." Save your money and go somewhere where the staff, and the owner actually value their customers. Gustavo is unprofessional, disrespectful, and has no business being in the hospitality industry. Absolutely disgusting behavior.

Rucola e Pera 4/5 - A good baby arugula salad with pear, toasted walnuts, parm and lemon vinaigrette. Frittura misa 5/5 - Can't go wrong with fried seafood. This came with calamari, black tiger shrimp and a lemon aioli. Perfectly cooked and quite delicious. Penne ala vodka 4/5 - Penne with rose sauce. It's a good dish but have had better in Toronto restaurants. Fettuccine ai funghi 5/5 - Creamy fettuccine sauce with wild mushrooms. Couldn't really taste the white truffle oil here but it's a good sharing dish since it's quite heavy. Funghi pizza 5/5 - Again, couldn't taste any truffle on this dish but was still good. Calabrese pizza 5/5 - Always a favourite pizza flavour. I asked for some honey on the side which really elevated this pizza for me. Linguine allo scoglio 5/5 - Nice, fresh seafood pieces and a great cherry tomato sauce. Special: rabbit 4/5 - Got adventurous and tried the rabbit dish. It tasted kind of like chicken and was pretty tender. Overall, a great dining experience if you're at Friday Harbour. Probably one of the better restaurants in the area.
