    Had a lovely (early) Valentine's Day dinner at Sarpa. Given the occasion, I made sure to make a reservation early and everything was no problem. There was ample parking available and I'm glad I made a reservation early as it was quite packed for a Thursday night. We had been here once before and knew what we wanted - we started off with the Polenta Fries, which were a pleasant mix of sweet and crispiness. We had the Grilled Shrimp - with the sauce and tomatoes, it was very hearty. We also had the Mushroom Arancini - it was creamy on the inside and mixed well with the fried texture of the ball. For the mains, we ordered the Sausage and Rapini Pizza and the Potato Gnocchi - this was the highlight of the meal. Slightly crispy on the outside soft and chewy when you bite into it and creamy with the sauce, it was heavenly. For dessert, we ordered the Raspberry Sorbet and Tiramisu. We were pleasantly surprised by the portion size - there were 4 scoops of the sorbet, which was just the right amount of sour that my wife likes, and the tiramisu was velvety. This spot was great and is definitely a spot to sit back and have a nice meal!

    Recently ordered here for a special occasion as this place has always been one our favourite fine dining restaurant. Although I was prepared to not have high expectation as ordering takeout is not the same as dining in and with covid I can also understand that during these hard times, it will be difficult to maintain the same quality but I was still disappointed especially with the seafood spaghetti. Taste wise, the dish was flavourful but it had very little seafood and it was pricey for about $37 including taxes and tips. We also ordered the Tagliatelle bolognese and Veal Limone which were okay but not spectacular considering these dishes were pricey as well. This review is just based on takeout. I'll have to update this review after my next visit when the restaurant reopens.

    I've been here a couple of times and loved it every time. The dish to die for was the pan roasted gnocchi! It was the best gnocchi I've ever had. I also tried their their lamb chops and daily dessert, both equally as delicious. All of this is a bit on the pricier side, but hey, it's fine dining. So, if you're looking for a special night out, this is the place to be.

    Went to Sarpa for a work event and had a wonderful time. Our server Reza was a superstar. I have a few cocktails like the mule and old fashion both were delicious. The food was exceptional as we got a chance to try a lot of different items. My colleagues had different mains and everyone was super happy with the food. Great service, good and environment. Would recommend for sure if u want some Italian food.

    Went here for the first time to celebrate my cousins birthday. Everything we ordered was super delicious. We devoured everything! My personal favourite was the gnocchi as it was super soft, fluffy, and a little crispy on the outside. The texture of the gnocchi was made to perfection and it was delicious!!! The service was also amazing. Our glasses were always filled and I especially appreciated how they changed our plates and wiped down the table after every course. Had a very good experience dining here and will definitely be back.

    I was taken here during my birthday a couple weeks back, and I remembered how busy it was. I highly recommend calling to make a reservation if you want a spot asap. I've seen some people wait for seats, however there is no guarantee when you'd be able to actually a seat. I really appreciate how they had barriers that you can pull down from the ceiling which insured proper social distancing. They also outlined clear rules of when you're supposed to wear your mask, and to stay seated. The service was great, our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Overall, despite how busy it was for the capacity allowed, the food didn't take too long to arrive. Everything was very tasty, and my favorite was the risotto rice ball appetizer. Will I recommend coming here for a special day? Yes definitely!

    Very friendly service and took really good care of us from seating to dessert! The food is really great but not cheap but you get what u pay for. Pricing is somewhat similar to Local for main course based man my memory but I think this restaurant taste better. One thing to point out though, my server told me the gelato they serve has 4 scoop and cost about $15 if I remember correctly. But when I order my dessert, I wanted 2 scoop on the side along with my pistachio dessert, and they say they can do that... but turns out that two scoop cost $13 which is pretty much the full price for 4 scoop. Not too happy when I find out when getting the bill but I should of ask the price per scoop... so just want folks to be aware of the price if you want a scoop or two of gelato to go with other dessert u will have... However , it was still an enjoyable evening for us!

    Food/taste: overall the three dishes we ordered were very flavorful and did not lack any seasoning. Grilled octopus- The octopus was very tender in the smoky flavor was very strong. Accompanied by grilled fennel had a great crunch texture. There was two sauces on it one more of a herb sauce and the other a garlic nutty sauce. Both the sauces. Well with the grilled dish. Mushroom risotto- They definitely did not hold back on the mushrooms. There were large chunks of mushroom throughout the whole dish in the mushroom flavor was very strong. A nice creamy risotto, exactly what you're expecting . Orecchiette- A very savory and light pasta that did not like any flavor. With bits of broccolini adding crunch and Chilies for a spicy kick. The pasta was cooked perfectly to al dente. I would highly recommend this. Each dish costs $25 - slightly overpriced especially the appetizer but were all very enjoyable. Staff- Extremely attentive and constantly checking up on you every 15 minutes. Any asks you had they would immediately do it without any complaints. From the host to the servers they were all very kind with a nice smile. Ambiance- Inside has a dark yellow lighting quite roomy. Has a pretty decent interior but nothing exceptional. Has a very rustic steakhouse Italian vibe. Overall I would recommend the spot for a friend's gathering or date night.

    We ordered take out / pick up for Valentine's Day to avoid the going in to the restaurant. I understand that take out is never the same as dinning in. That said, $25 for this order of calamari is absurd. There are too many choices now for finer dinning for this to be the standard.

    Sarpa is awesome! It is located in Oak Ridges.. yes that's really really up North for downtown people... even for me this is an area that I hardly visit. But it really worth the drive for me if I have the cravings for some good Italian food and great services!! The deco is elegant and warm. Most furnishing are in dark mahogany wood. The lighting is dim and is kind of romantic... great dating spot. Sarpa has a daily menu specials or you can pick from their regular menu. We decided on: Organic Arugula Salad ($13) though pretty good, but didn't wow me, skip! Veal Parmigiana ($24) is one of the best veal I ever have! Pounded really thin and lightly breaded, surprisingly tender and favoured.. oh and the melted Buffalo mozzarella ! Delicious!! Linguine Frutti Di Mare ($28) has really fresh seafood, all cooked perfectly with a light touch of tomato sauce. Chocolate Torte with Vanilla Gelato ($10) was so heavenly... I love warm chocolate sauce and cold gelato..........and finished off with assorted fresh berries!! Sarpa has the nicest, cleanest and the nicest smelling washroom facilities I ever been to!! Even Ritz Carlton's washroom is no match to this place! Sarpa is an awesome restaurant to bring a date or even having dinner with your friends.... I can wait to go back!! BTW, they have lunch specials too!! :)

    I went for dinner on Valentine's Day and it was the best place I could of chosen for my boy friend and I. We both thought our food was amazing! The beef tenderloin and the short ribs were cooked and seasoned perfectly and the restaurant and service were also great but the food beat everything! Perfect date night restaurant! I highly recommend, and will be back!

    Not my first visit to Scaddabush Richmond Hill, but it had been quite some time since my last one…read more This return visit ended up being memorable for a few unexpected mishaps, though thankfully the overall experience was still a positive one. I called the day before right when they opened to make a reservation since the online system showed no availability. The staff member who took my call was incredibly friendly and thorough. In addition to the usual questions about party size, time, name, and phone number, they also asked how many children would be joining us, whether anyone had allergies, if we were celebrating a special occasion, and informed me in advance about the automatic gratuity for larger parties as well as the two-hour seating limit. I really appreciated how comprehensive they were. Fast forward to dinner... Parking in the plaza was absolute chaos. It took us quite a while to find spots, though that's not entirely surprising given how many popular restaurants are in the plaza. I'm sure the FIFA match that evening didn't help either. We were seated at what I'd describe as a "cozy" table. It wasn't cramped, but it definitely felt snug for our group. Thankfully, it ended up working out because we were sharing most dishes and the staff were fantastic about promptly clearing empty plates as we finished sharing dishes. We started with the Caesar salad, the Prosciutto & Mozzarella, and a Three Meat Pizza. The Caesar salad was well dressed with great flavour, while the mozzarella was, as always, a crowd favourite. I was pleasantly surprised by the focaccia, which was much crispier than I was expecting (I've never had it toasted like that before), with a wonderfully buttery flavour. The pizza was also excellent, not overly salty, with a chewy crust and a perfectly crisp exterior. For my main, I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese, which was delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, the sauce was well balanced, and nothing was overly salty. I also ordered the Rosemary Garlic Fries, which were tasty, although I do wish they had served a bit more aioli since that's what really elevates the dish. I also stole a few bites of other entrées around the table. The Vodka Pasta wasn't what I'd consider a traditional vodka sauce, as it leaned much more toward a creamy Alfredo, but it had a nice kick of spice. The standout for me, however, was the Shrimp Lemon Pasta. It was absolutely delicious, and I'd easily order that as my main on my next visit. Since we were celebrating my aunt's birthday, the staff surprised her with a chocolate cake topped with colourful sprinkles and a sparkler. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a lovely way to end the meal. Now for the memorable mishaps. The most alarming occurred when an employee accidentally knocked over one of the decorative jars filled with beans. It shattered as soon as it hit the floor, sending glass and beans underneath our table. We stayed still because we knew shards had scattered around our feet, and I was wearing shorts, so I could actually feel some of the debris around my legs. My biggest concern came when my mom mentioned she felt something brush against her neck, but thankfully she wasn't injured. The employee was incredibly apologetic and immediately stayed behind to thoroughly clean everything up. We all stepped away from the table to make sure every piece of glass could be safely swept up before sitting back down. The second near mishap happened when our server returned carrying full glass bottles of water. One slipped from her hand and hit the table, but thankfully she managed to keep hold of it before it shattered or knocked anything over. Despite those unexpected moments, our server was wonderful throughout the evening. She was attentive, friendly, and especially diligent about ensuring the allergy at our table was handled appropriately. Accidents happen, and while these certainly made for a memorable dinner, I appreciated how professionally the staff handled each situation and how well they continued to take care of us afterward.

They were friendly, attentive, and consistently kept our water glasses topped up without being intrusive. The food was enjoyable, though not the best I've had at this price point. That said, it's a solid option for the area. The grilled calamari appetizer was cooked well, being tender rather than chewy, and nicely seasoned without being overly salty. The kale salad was a pleasant surprise, featuring a fresh, homemade-tasting dressing that complemented the kale perfectly without any bitterness. The banana pudding was unfortunately a miss, with an unusual stretchy texture and an overly sweet flavour profile. In contrast, the house-made pistachio tiramisu was outstanding and easily the standout dessert of the meal. It's a must-order. The restaurant was clean and thoughtfully decorated, and the washrooms were well maintained. I especially appreciated the complimentary mouthwash, a small but memorable touch that added to the overall experience. Note: They change their menu from time to time!

Bolognese pasta Everything was done amazingly. The pasta was all al dente with amazing sauces The pizza was delicious and had a crispy crust. You could tell everything was homemade to order Overall we had a fantastic experience And We would come again I also recommend all Yelpers to try this place as well if you haven't already Fantastic establishment.

I have to say they're are a little cheap as it was my birthday I thought they would give the dessert for free but they charged for the dessert it's all good, let's start of with the calamari, really crispy and tender in the inside expensive like crazy, for entree we ordered rigatoni vodka, papperdalle funghi, and chicken Parmesan, the rigatoni vodka was out of this world, very creamy pasta was cooked al dente and they make fresh pasta here, that's a first, the vodka sauce tasted delicious had a rich tomatoe flavor but super creamy, the papperdalle funghi tasted amazing as well and the chicken Parmesan tasted amazing a billion times better than Sugo. The service was excellent, the waiter was attentive, and the ambiance just seemed a bit claustrophobic as there wasn't much space in the restaurant, if you want to eat here for dinner it is highly recommended to reserve online. Just if it's your birthday don't expect anything for free I forgot to Mention the chocolate cream pie probably one of the best desserts I have ever tasted the filling was so creamy and had the right amount of sweetness and the crust was perfect.
