The only reason why you should consider going here is that you have a dog and want to get out of…read morethe house. -dogs are allowed, apparently, so great if you have one. -service is questionable, and I'm not sure why... Maybe management issues. Staff was nice enough, but seemed baffled by the idea of small plates to put food on from shared plates. Maybe that's not a thing? -food is overall very meh. Bread was brought out with a garlic butter. Not terrible, but oh-so-very salty. We ordered carpaccio, which was good, a pizza that was unremarkable other than it came unsliced and with no utensils to get that job done, and a pasta with gravely clams. Some of the clams were all right. Many weren't. The gravel from the bad clams spread throughout the entire pasta making for a gravely experience. I won't be going again. There are other options in the area for Italian that won't make my tongue sad and angry and sandy. Unless you are going with a furry friend, I'd go somewhere else, and even then. :/

When I visited there myself in 2024, on a Sunday night, the owner was not there, but his son was and when I showed him the photo of my friends and his dad, he suggested we get a photo of the two of us. We did. Then I just was back again with my sister and brother-in-law and I showed them both those two photos and they suggested getting a new one of the three of us. We did. Now I live in California, so it's not like dropping in because I'm in the neighborhood, but this place feels like family!! They delivered a fabulous dessert for my 80th birthday. That is family! The only reason we put our name on the list was because Enoteca was referred to me by a good friend. We gave them our phone number and walked down the street to a local bar for a few drinks. A hour past and we headed back to Enoteca. Our table was ready. There still wasn't that many people. Huge outside dining setup and indoors, but apparently not the kitchen staff to handle very many parties. We were seated and handed a laminated menu. As I looked to the table with the glare of the lamination directed my eye towards the paper napkins. So, why 4 stars? The food was fantastic! The Bolognese was fantastic! So, were the other dishes we got... Tip of the day - figure out how to serve parties that are there to eat, get a napkin service and move to a nice piece of paper or a real menu. The location isn't a hot area so either get a reservation or be prepared to kill a little time.

The reasons I knew this place was going to be good were (1) the old cranky italian man making the pizzas and (2) the four types of infused oil - basil, hot pepper, garlic, herb - that they brush on the crust, depending on the pizza. The menu is pretty simple and straight forward. You pick your type of meat and the size you'd like to have. You have some nice choices for your wines but I have yet to take a closer look at those (just went with beer this time). The ribeye seemed like the wise choice and I have to say it did not disappoint. Very juicy and tender. With some restaurants, you can tell they beat the sh&t out of the meat to make cheap meat a little more tender. This piece had no traces of such practices. The staff (I think it was one of the owners that served us) was pretty laid back and helpful and you can tell they have a serious passion and appreciation for the product. Cant wait to go back!
