My son plays here for hours! They got a playground good for younger kids and older ones. A covered area with picnic tables. Lots of lawn space for all the activities. It is right next to the highlands ranch library, we actually came here for the first time because they were doing an outdoor story time at this park. If you have kids I definitely recommend checking this place out!

Another issue that surprised me was that the ball field was not very well kept. Although chalk outlines were new, the bases were not securely affixed to the ground, and there were uneven areas, including some holes. This caused some players to fall.

It has multiple playgrounds, ball fields, tennis courts and pavilions. Motorized traffic can enter on University street next to Goodson Rec Center. Pedestrians and Bicycles can use the popular Highland Canal Trail that intersects and traverses several sections of the park. I really enjoy every time I come here and intend to come here much more.

You have access to either side of the park entrance off the main road. There is a crosswalk‍‍ and a beg button to safely cross. Watch out for coyotes in the area too. There are two porta potty clearly marked and camouflaged with the environment. SMART! I walked a few trails and blissfully absorbed the sounds of nature surrounding me. I like the ponds, the native wildlife and natural earth tone paths. One thing for sure is if you are out here for a period of time I would take some kind of bug spray. The mosquitoes were horrible. I also liked the sporadically places rocks, giant tree log, tree trunks and memorial benches place in this park. A soothing, gentle and relaxing atmosphere and area. I'll be back to explore more!

Then I came here a few weeks ago to play pickleball and was surprised to see they spruced up the space. They have a huge playground area and little walking path around the water. Two pickleball courts outside and actual restrooms vs sorta-potties along with a lot of parking. Little hidden gem!
