This is a really cool place to just go and walk around. There's also animals to see such as bulls, donkeys, sheep, chickens, etc. I'm pretty sure my son enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend this place.

I hadn't been to Colorado in about 15 years. I used to visit once a year when I had more family there. On this particular trip, I was pretty bummed out. Everything was brown and dry due to a drought. The sky was hazy and clouds were almost non-existent. I set out to find some parks or somewhere I could get closer to nature. Ketring Park is located in a residential area of Littleton. The lake was populated with ducks swimming, sleeping, and sunning. There is an area with trees with a trail and benches to sit near the water. Dog walkers and joggers in the area went by as we relaxed in the morning sun. While there, I met a nice lady that gave us some tips about what to see in the area. She talked a bit about the neighborhood and the park. She also pointed us toward the Littleton Museum on the other side of the lake, which we would visit later. Ketring Park is a peaceful place to rest and enjoy what nature has to offer.

Just go. Perfect place for mild exercise and beautiful scenery. Free parking. Tons of beauty.

Great place for photos and pretty walk around the lake. You can even see some livestock on the farm there. Beautiful!

This is one of the biggest parks in Littleton, with a large lake and lots of grassy areas.

I've been coming here since I was a kid and now I bring my own kids here! Highly recommend for a fun summertime activity for the whole family.

So there's an awesome petting zoo and train that you can pay to enjoy but the rest of the park is just as incredible. There's a shallow creek that runs the length of the park. It's honestly one of the best places for kids to just free play safely in the summer. Lots of great trees for parents to chill under while the kids enjoy the water. It's a perfect picnic spot for sure. Go make a day of it! There's also a traditional playground near the petting zoo and train station. My kids said the water is cold but on a hot day, it's the perfect activity. There are restrooms as well. There's some covered seating with picnic tables but it's just easier to bring a nice blanket and find a tree to camp under (or bring some outdoor chairs). We did the petting zoo recently too. It's $3 per person for the petting zoo for anyone over the age of 2. Same price for the train. You can do one and not the other. Tickets can be purchased on site or online. They give you one token per ticket for each activity. So you can only go through the petting zoo once and take the train once on a paid ticket. The petting zoo has cows, pigs, a duck, goats, alpacas, chickens, etc. It's fairly small, but a good way to expose city kids to sweet tempered farm animals. My kids loved the train! It does a nice big loop around the park. And the best part is the tunnel you go through at the end. The train is also beautiful - pretty green, shiny train. I would say the only down side is parking. I've ended up parking at the Pirates Cove area both times I've gone. There's simply not enough spots. Go early in the morning if you want to enjoy otherwise you might be completely out of luck.
