We felt very comfortable around Britt and the pictures turned out to be magical! She is an artist who is so incredibly good at capturing love and joy - we cannot thank her enough for having joined us on our special day. Booking her was the best decision we have made (apart from getting married itself :)). Lisa was fantastic throughout--very prompt to return e-mails, very accommodating. Her work was great--she got some really interesting shots of us, but also let us just be ourselves and do our thing (instead of having us do weird poses). She has great packages and did ours for the whole day--which is nice since a lot of photographers mess around with hourly rates. When she was there, she was a fly on the wall when we needed her to be (i.e., during the ceremony and the reception) and proactive when it was most important, such as helping guide my wife through the details (i.e., how to cut the cake) and get people organized for group photos. She was such a pleasure to work with!

Just attended a beautiful wedding there Saturday evening and was super impressed with the event venue! Modern buildings with lovely facilities (nice woodwork, nice layout, well-apportioned kitchen, modern bathrooms). Perfect for the wedding of approximately 150 people and easy parking. Limited cell service, but let's face it, this is in the middle of nowhere in upstate NY. If you logged into the WiFi at the venue though - worked great: nice perk! bathrooms were really clean and they had little toiletries and emergency products for people etc. The bridal suite was set up very nicely as well - really well done! A very fair-priced venue and from the beauty of the grounds to the quality of the buildings (a lovely chapel and reception hall), to the helpfulness of the staff, everything was superb! They set up a nice party tent outside the reception hall on the patio, for hors d'oeuvres and a bar. The Grove catered the food themselves and the meal was top notch! And what was monumental for us, was the pleasant attitude of Chris and her staff and their determined effort to make the day a huge success - which they did! He showed up early to set up…read moreand helped us with a MAJOR glitch we had involving the song for our first wedding dance, and also the music for our cocktail hour. To be clear, he wasn't supposed to start playing until after dinner, but THANK GOD he was there because I'm not sure what we would've done about our first dance AND cocktail hour if he hadn't been. He was such a calming and kind force as well, while the rest of us were running around like crazy. The technology he brings with him was SO FUN also - everyone had a blast with the text-to-photo screen - I also loved the lighting. He played the PERFECT playlist, PERFECT! As the bride, I needed to go mingle and thank all of our guests, but I kept wanting to dance and dance - every song was a HIT! Hanna and Elle are outstanding florists and wonderful people to work with. My vision of flowers was was "pretty and lavender" and they took that and ran with it. My ceremony was originally meant to be outside but as the day got closer and the weather turned, Hanna made sure to be in touch with me and easily adjusted to doing the ceremony inside. Walking into the venue and seeing their work was incredible. The ceremony area was beautiful, the bud vases on the tables and along the mantels were so pretty and so perfect, me and my guests absolutely loved every detail. Hanna delivered the flowers to Beardslee, spent the afternoon setting up, and made sure to see me to give me and the bridesmaids our bouquets (which were STUNNING). From the initial consult all the way through to the wedding, she answered my questions, listened to my vision, and was all around amazing to work with. It started when I saw him host the Tony Awards a few years ago. I wondered at his voice and…read morecharisma, not knowing his background and achievements. For more about him (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAMLABSyJdk). A short time later during the holiday season, I saw a CD at Costco which was his Christmas album and quickly put it in my cart. Needless to say, I am a fan. When I saw ads during this summer that he would be touring with a stop in San Francisco, I searched for tickets for his performance. Not knowing the background of the tour, I looked forward to what I envisioned as a magical evening of music. The venue where he performed to open his tour (didn't know until he mentioned after taking the stage) is a historical theater, the Golden Gate Theater in the heart of downtown San Francisco. Much has been made about the demise of this neighborhood and the crime issues that plague my hometown. Still, being on Market Street and knowing there would be a good crowd to see this performance, the theater seemed like a perfect holiday location being just a few blocks from Union Square with the annual Christmas Tree shining brightly. He took the stage promptly a little after 7:30 pm and we made it to our seats just as he grabbed the mike to speak.
