I'm a retired Marine and unfortunately have had the need to seek help from multiple physical therapy (PT) clinics across the country over the years. For many reasons, Dade Physical Therapy is by far the best. The therapists take the time to listen, evaluate and develop a plan of care to help you work on and fully heal your condition as safely and rapidly as possible. Unlike other clinics, during each session the therapist spends time treating (ultrasound, heat, icing, dry needling, stretching, massaging, etc.), evaluating progress and supervising exercises. As you progress, they continue to adjust and guide your exercises. They stay with you on your whole journey to recovery and don't just say, "Here's your excises, let me know if you have any questions" as I've experienced in nearly all other PT offices. Also, they have friendly and energetic PT technicians who assist the therapist. They help you set up your exercises, monitor, ensure your safety and are there to answer any questions. Lastly, the front office is staffed by professional, knowledgeable and thorough staff who do their utmost to work with insurance companies, meet your scheduling needs and follow up with any other administrative issues to help you. This type of quality, hands on care takes time. If you expect to receive the outstanding care they can provide so do other clients, so it pays to be patient and flexible when scheduling and during your appointments. I love this place and would recommend to anyone - I came in with really bad neck and shoulder pain, and I've seen so much improvement in my pain levels, posture, and quality of life. My therapist, Daryn, really knows what he's doing and is very detail-oriented. All the techs are so patient and helpful as well, and it really helps me get the most out of my therapy sessions. The team here has also corrected many of my bad habits (tech neck, bad form, etc.) that may have also contributed to my pain. It's clear that the team here loves what they do and really takes their time with every patient. The entire staff at Dade Physical from the front desk, to the interns, to the licensed physical therapists are professional, organized, patient, experienced and knowledgeable. I have sustained two acl/meniscus tears (separate knees) and did my physical therapy with Dr. Martinez at Dade Physical Therapy. Both times I was back to playing sports and running within a year. Although at times it seems they might be a little understaffed. The amount of latency in the process somedays stretches the sessions a bit too long. I had therapy for five months here at thousands of dollars expense. Before you go to this therapy center, let me give you my opinion. Not certain if this is due to a decline in insurance remuneration or ?? however, I will relate my experience. Pros: Physical Therapists: World Class Other supporting staff including administrative: World Class Cons: Personal attention, very limited as this practice slams the world class therapists with 8 plus patients at a time. So the attention to detail in your executing the exercises to your best speedy recovery (or none) is limited as it is all about the money here. Larger footprint and more therapists needed or their needing to decline new patients. The care suffers. Small footprint is a safety hazard. Lack of safety procedures endangers employees. When I was a patient, an employee burnt his foot with scaling water when servicing a hot water warmer for therapy pads. Additionally, patients too close to each other in the small footprint. Ongoing analysis as to your prognosis and a summation of your case is limited. When my insurance ran out (after five months) I never heard from their leadership other than balance owed. This is by far the best physical therapy facility in South Florida, if not the entire southeast. As a sports photographer and the mother of three grown sons, I have been in and out of physical therapy for many years. I have never found another physical therapy facility that even comes close to this one. The therapists are knowledgable, patient and caring, while the rest of the staff is kind, attentive and supportive. Therapy is individualized for each patient. Each therapist spends an incredible amount of time with every patient and takes additional time to answer questions and explain each procedure and outline long-term goals. Home programs are provided and explained, so that patients can progress as quickly as possible. In the last few years, I have had a total knee replacement (I was able to achieve 154* of flexion), both shoulders surgically repaired (with complete recovery and mobility) and a total hip replacement (amazing recovery). All of these achievements are the results of expert therapy and phenomenal encouragement from all of the people at Dade Physical Therapy. read more
