Actual review: I've been to this Youfit before and remember it completely different. What used to be packed and waiting for gym equipment is almost non existent now. It could be because of the time of day and the actual day. I went and did a three day pass on Sunday at 1 pm for reference. I was able to work out on the cable machines and free weights without any issues. Although I am used to going to smaller gyms because of the crowds, I was able to do everything I wanted and then some without bother. Same thing goes for today (Tuesday) at 2 pm, where I had no issues using any gym equipment. Bathrooms are well kept (to my standards) and they have AstroTurf with a heavy bag for those that box. I've been working out since 2019 and it doesn't bother me when there are handles and miscellaneous dumbbells on the floor. You're going to find that everywhere you go. Place more importance on getting in, doing your workout and getting out for a convenient price and location, while still staying conscious of price. Would I go here again? Yes.

I chose this location because of its proximity to my home and what looked like a decent selection of equipment, especially stair machines, which are key to my workouts. But once I became a member, the reality was a completely different story. Let's start with the equipment: The stair machines are constantly broken. During busy hours, you are lucky if even half of them are working, and good luck getting a turn. They only have a couple of rowing machines, and one of them has been missing both foot straps for months. Still not fixed. Yes, they have four squat racks and two Smith machines, which is actually pretty good for a gym, but they barely have enough weights to actually use them. I have had to walk around looking for plates or literally take turns using the same weights with the person on the rack next to me. Facility issues? Plenty: The water fountain has been dispensing warm water since I started my membership, and it still has not been fixed. The bathroom sink water has been boiling hot and unusable, and despite telling the staff multiple times, it was ignored for weeks. And then there is the staff. Not all of them, but most of the ones I have dealt with have been careless at best and rude or aggressive at worst. I have submitted multiple complaints about the gym in person, over the phone, through email, and even via feedback surveys, and not once have I received a response. Not one. To cancel my membership, I had to wait 40 minutes on the phone, only to be passed along to the accounting department, who were predictably rude and completely unwilling to work with me. It felt like they could not wait to get me off the phone. Also, a quick note about the photos here on Yelp -- I am not sure where they were taken, but most of them definitely do not reflect what this gym actually looks like. It is not that clean, organized, or nice in real life. There are many other details I could include, like the fact their online portal doesn't work; you create an account but cannot use it for anything because the portal isn't working. They also don't change the clocks on the wall for daylight saving time, organize any of the equipment throughout the day, etc etc etc..... I just wanted to at least give a taste of some of the issues going on. This gym talks a big game during the tour, promising well-maintained equipment, responsive staff, and a good environment, but once you sign up, you are on your own. The maintenance is poor, the service is worse, and the overall experience has been a huge disappointment. If you are looking for a gym in Miami, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

I have now found a way to come out for training at least 3 days out of the week. Ralph the owner is awesome he writes a workout program on his board and helps you step by step until he sees that your confident enough to move to the next workout. The gym is very private and is fully stocked with the best equipment. I have also noticed that many High School students that play sports are training in this facility helping them reach their full potential. My son came and LOVED training here! Showing him that exercising and eating well is just as important as doing good in school. I can see the confidence building and I'm loving it!! Everyone was so nice and helpful and I didn't overwhelmed, but I felt supported. Carlos did a great job being observant enough to correct me when only God knows what in the world I was doing. lol! It was a really nice spot and I loved the fact that they offer a one week trial before you commit. The smoothie and snack bar was a nice treat at the end. The showers were consistently clean and stocked with soap, there were chilled disposable towels available after workouts, and the equipment was well-maintained. Unfortunately, over the past 2-3 months, there has been a noticeable decline in the overall quality of the facility. The level of cleanliness and upkeep has dropped significantly. Soap dispensers are now cracked and empty, the floors are often dirty, and many of the amenities that were once standard are no longer available. More concerning is the condition of the equipment. The rowing machine, for example, has loose bolts and makes a scraping noise when in use, as the seat hits against the metal frame. At this point, I would recommend considering other options that prioritize cleanliness, maintenance, and member experience.

After years of searching, I have found the perfect balance to a trainer and workout facility. The staff are professionals that LOVE what they are doing. They practice what they teach. So many years working out and I am still learning, tweaking, and realizing I have been doing sets all wrong. After a double mastectomy and COVID I struggle with weight gain, motivation and frustration. Now I am focusing on getting my strength back. The rest will come. Now, what I said dealt with the coaches and staff, but the members are just as motivating and encouraging. Only serious athletes need to apply. You will be pushed and encouraged. You will struggle and your crown will be fixed. You will reach goals you never thought you could--- at any age or size.
