We reviewed my history and other relevant information to pair me with a trainer and set up a session. I received a complimentary session with Chris and we clicked immediately. I've been working with him since and he has been nothing short of amazing. They do a thorough assessment when you start to help track your progress that isn't focused on a number on a scale. Additionally, Chris helped not only with my physical fitness, but setting nutritional goals and recommendations, working with me to tweak my program to best fit my needs. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient. The training packages are very reasonably priced especially for the quality of service you are receiving. The facility itself is always extremely clean and is completely private. So the only other people that you will see there are other clients with their trainers which makes for a very supportive and positive environment. As an older member, her disclosure also caused me to feel singled out and scrutinized during my workouts. In a separate incident, the owner also resorted to Instagram after I was assisted by other members attempting to correct my form on an exercise I had just learned. She told her Instagram followers that I had a casual conversation with them, which she knew was not true because I had already explained to her what ACTUALLY happened. Nevertheless, she proceeded to ask her followers for "their thoughts", knowing exactly what those thoughts would be. This led to an attack on social media about my IQ and judgement. The owner's disclosure of my age without my consent, and her precipitating an attack on social media against me was extremely unprofessional.

So many years working out and I am still learning, tweaking, and realizing I have been doing sets all wrong. After a double mastectomy and COVID I struggle with weight gain, motivation and frustration. Now I am focusing on getting my strength back. The rest will come. The showers were consistently clean and stocked with soap, there were chilled disposable towels available after workouts, and the equipment was well-maintained. Unfortunately, over the past 2-3 months, there has been a noticeable decline in the overall quality of the facility. The level of cleanliness and upkeep has dropped significantly. Soap dispensers are now cracked and empty, the floors are often dirty, and many of the amenities that were once standard are no longer available. More concerning is the condition of the equipment. The rowing machine, for example, has loose bolts and makes a scraping noise when in use, as the seat hits against the metal frame. At this point, I would recommend considering other options that prioritize cleanliness, maintenance, and member experience.
