If I could give zero stars, I would. I wasn't even a customer -- I was just unfortunate enough to be on the road near one of this company's tow trucks on I-90 on my way to Spearfish, SD. Their driver was weaving between lanes, tailgating, and speeding like they were in a race. It was reckless, dangerous, and completely unacceptable for someone operating a massive vehicle. I managed to get the company name from the truck, but there were no identifying numbers or contact info visible -- which makes me wonder if this kind of behavior is something they're used to hiding. If they treat other drivers this carelessly, I'd hate to imagine how they treat customers' vehicles. I wouldn't trust this company with anything, especially not my safety or my car or the van he cut off and almost caused a major accident. Do better. read more

I have had some issues with 2 different vehicles this year, i called Dads and they got me in promptly, they were very professional and Clean working on my Van, at the same time I had borrowed a vehicle from a friend and it broke down, and since I had borrowed it, I fixed it! I called Dad's, and they had to Tow it to the shop, they got it running and went above and beyond , to explain stuff to me, and to make sure I had all the warranty stuff for my friend for what they had to replace, They have a great group of guys, and I would highly Recommend them, For Towing and or Mechanic work! 5 STARS!! read more

This company says it has all two-wheel drive tow trucks that they aren't sure can make it up dirt roads...at least that is what they told the AAA agents arranging for my tow. Then they asked if they could come the next morning instead pf that afternoon. They lied to the AAA agents and said they were coming when they were not. They claimed the weather was bad to the agent in Utah when it was sunny and clear with dry roads in Wyoming. They don't want top lose their AAA contract but they also don't want to do their job if it is not convenient and easy for them. Totally disreputable. DO NOT USE. read more

Do not go here. They overcharged me, they were rude to my family, and they didn't fix the problem on my vehicle. Two days after them charging me $400 for the "fix" the car broke down again. I recommend going anywhere else, do not do business with people like this. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!! These people are crooks. I have witnessed personally theft, extortion/blackmail, insurance fraud, and witness tampering just to name a few. I was given permission to store one of my vehicles on the yard by one of the owners only for a lien to be put on my car and to be sold at auction. I was never given the opportunity to retrieve my car despite countless attempts. Damages to a motorcycle were never compensated after the other owners son drove a truck into the back of my bike. Instead I have been told that because my ex owes money for agreements made while he was an employee for truck parts for HIS personal truck, that I was being held liable despite my never working here nor being present or agreeing to anything. Wrecked cars are reported stolen so the owners dont have to pay for them. Parts prices are increased significantly making the customers bills outrageous. Tow bills are jacked up to get more money out if people. DONT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY. Take your business to Mannings. They tow and also repair and will be honest and fair. read more

We did not have a good experience with Dad's Towing. My wife,2 daughters and our dog were broken down halfway between Gillette and Buffalo on a 2 degree night in late January. I don't necessarily want to go through the long convoluted story but after a few , admittedly very heated, conversations with the owner, I have these lessons to pass on: -They have a zero dog policy in there cabs, no exceptions. In our case it meant that after freezing on the side of the road for 2 hours, our 28 pound, very anxious English Setter would have had to ride the 35 miles or so by herself on the trailer. For many it would be ok, for us this dog is a member of the family and is treated as such. So while dogs are not allowed in the cab they did allow my wife to ride in our vehicle on the trailer on winter roads. The owner said because of Covid this is legal, however the Wyoming state regulations say it is not. -We did not use their shop, after dealing with them on the side of the road we did not want to give them another dime. -I made the mistake of not calling around more. The next day I found a very friendly company (Draggin' Towing) to come pick up the vehicle and take care of the problem, which they did very effectively. -This company is strictly in the business of getting vehicles back to town. Customer service and compassion are not part of their model. If either of those things are important to you I would advise calling elsewhere. read more

Thank God for Dad's Truck and Auto. My wife, 2 dogs, and I broke down while driving cross country. We were on the side of the road, it was hot, we were stressed out, and the dogs were not all that happy either. Called AAA roadside, and the hooked us up with Mike at Dad's Truck and Auto. Within half hour, they were there. They dropped us at a nearby hotel, worked on the car overnight, fixed our malfunctioning starter, and we were back on the road early morning the next day. Took a truck in to get the throttle body replaced. All they did was clean it, and charge me $453. Truck went right back into limp mode in less than 10 miles. Worst service I've ever had read more

We are driving across America in a Sprinter van during the pandemic. When our van started making a crazy gurgling sound and spewing coolant at a remote campsite in northern Wyoming on a Saturday night, we panicked a little. The owner of Dad's was amazing, he picked up the phone on a Sunday and came into the shop to personally take a look at our vehicle. Single female driving cross country, truck broke down 60 miles out of town. Colby (owner) very nice on phone. Tow driver very safe, thorough and nice. Dropped me at nearby hotel. Colby continued to be very nice on phone updates. I was shocked by the price when picked up my truck, I expected it to be at least $500 (or greater) more than it was. I was in town from Denver and had an issue with my car. Or so I thought. Colby met me at the shop on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend (when he's normally closed). He concluded it didn't need a new alternator as I had been told and gave my car a clean bill of health. He could have charged me for a repair, but instead was super honest and super helpful. When I broke down along I-90, AAA sent Dads to tow my truck, with a camper on it. It was a Sunday and I thought I'd have it taken to the Dodge dealer. When I found out Dad's can repair as well as tow, I decided to give them a try. And I'm glad I did. At 8:30 Sunday evening they called to tell me the water pump went out and that they had the parts and would have it running Monday. By noon Monday I was on the road & everything was working well. I really appreciate the great service they provided & can highly recommend Dads. read more
