Tried this place for the first time tonight not knowing really what to expect- I've never tried Filipino food in my life. I was very pleasantly surprised! I highly recommend the Lumpia (a crispy spring roll type app). The service was great- super attentive staff and the food was brought to the table really quick. We ate here as a lark. It was amazing! I loved the lumpia and lechon and barbecue skewers. We saw one of the cool desserts going by with the flan and the purple ice cream and tried that too- delicious! The cook and owner both came out to kindly check on our meal. All I have to say is this. You may be able to pull off bad service, food, horrible wait times. Up to 2 1/2 hrs. just to get food. You may be able to pull that off in Portland, Seattle and survive for years and years but!!! here in Tri cities we are way to small for that shit. Word gets around extremely fast and will make you go under in less that 6 months. Look at ALL the others that don't make it all time based on word of mouth and reviews. I don't care if they just open. You ALWAYS prepare for the worse and over hire when you first open. Rule number 1 for opening a new restaurant. I feel they are being cheap and thought they could just wing it. Well here is your results for winging it folks. Giving special treatment to friends and allowing them to cut in front of other customers who have been waiting. Poor food quality. forgetting entire meals for a large family. Worst restaurant experience ever! Waited for an hour and still no food nor any updates on why it is taking so long. There was only 2 table waiting for food. Our table for 2 and other table with party of 8. The other table walked in to the place after we placed our order. After 50min they served the other table first with all their appetizers and main dish. The the Lady lied right on our face while bringing out food to them, "they pre-ordered." We clearly heard them placing orders since they were sitting right behind us. A simple apology and a honest explanation would have been more professional. Walked out for the first time in my life. This was the first time I tried halo halo and it was every bit amazing as the other reviews said it was. We also got the family platter and a side of orange chicken and adobo chicken. Everything was very delicious except for the fish on the family platter, which was dried out (however maybe that is the way it is supposed to be). We stopped at this restaurant (for the first time) while spending one night in town. The diversity of the food (appetizers, main meals, etc.) in the menu looked impressive so we ordered an appetizer, tea, and separate main dishes. The service was prompt and the staff was very polite. All of our food was very tasty and prepared just right. We could not have been luckier to find such good food in town! Went there for the Sunday buffet. It was really full and busy. The food was great and was constantly being emptied and filled by the customers and staff respectively. I was not prepared for it to be so good and filling. The chicken loaf was amazing. The Cod was so moist and tasty I bet it tastes good even cold. I don't even know how much chicken I had but it was really good, like I wish i had a whole hotel pan full of it. I have worked with many a pinoy in my years working kitchens and have tried their food many times. All of the stuff in this place is so authentic. My only regret is I had no room left to order the halo halo. If only I could have tried the halo halo. I will have to return. Glad It is a place I can frequent because I really want to try the milkfish, and the sinigang na hipon. I will have to return on a regular day for those items. So fare the staff have been wonderful and the food is really tasty. I am glad I got to try the food. I cant wait to be seated at one of their tables again. read more
