Had cataract surgery. Doctor explained what was happening. Good bedside manner. I would highly recommend him!

Started going to Family Vision because my original Optometrist dropped out of my insurance network…read more The staff is very cordial and knowledgeable, and the doctors seem very professional. I just noticed they try to push a lot of services that I didn't want during my exam. They also try to get you to go "high end" on the frame selection. Other than that, it is what it is.

My husband went to Family Vision after a friend recommended this business to me. I visited last…read moresummer, and had a good eye exam. I did not have glasses made, even though the staff said I should do so. My husband had his eye exam in May, and ordered two pairs of new glasses, which totaled over $1,000. When he picked up the glasses two weeks later, he could not see well from either pair. He called Family Vision, told the staff the problem, and set up a second eye exam with a different doctor. And the results of that second eye exam WERE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! The second doctor admitted that the first prescriptions were wrong, and that both pairs of glasses needed to be remade. The order was put in. My husband went to pick up his glasses today, and only one pair, the glasses he needs for computer work, was ready. The second pair, which were progressives, HAD NOT EVEN BEEN ORDERED. The first eye exam was on May 4, 2021. It is now June 7, 2021. My husband has to wait another two weeks for his progressive lenses. This is purely bad business. This is completely unconscionable, and wrong. The only thing Family Vision did about this was offer an apology, and a promise to send off the order for the progressives, which means another two week wait. He is angry, and has eyestrain without the progressive lenses. I am incensed. Family Vision has done everything they can to lose our business. Goodbye, and good riddance! Most sincerely, An irate Burlington, WI resident
