Our family has a history here too as Gayle's Parents stayed here years ago, and one of the couples that operates the Guest House stayed with them when they visited the United States and Canada. So of course, the Lida Guest House would be Gayle and my first choice as a place to stay in Prague. The Guest House is located in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood, yet a convenient walking distance to the Vyšehrad Castle or trolley ride to central Prague. Actually we walked that distance as well and enjoyed the scenery and exercise along the way. The the main part of the Guest House is an Art Nouveau building constructed in 1922. The family has added on a 2-story modern wing where Gayle and I stayed. There's also a small private garden, the dining room area, and a small common space that contains a PC. The Lida Guest House has good WiFi, is Non-Smoking, and is Cash Only. Gayle and I didn't have any trouble paying our bill in Korunas, as this place is very reasonably priced and ATM are readily accessible throughout the City. They also simply added the extras that they prepaid (transportation, reservations, etc.) to the final tally. Gayle and I had a nice stay. Our room was nice and comfortable, and with plenty of space to stretch out and hang out. Our breakfast was tasty and generous, and it was fun comparing notes with fellow travelers. They also maintained a selection of snacks, including beer and wine, which we could access at any hour. What we appreciated most about our stay was what I call our personal concierge service by family members. What to see a concert at the Spanish Synagogue? We'll book it for you. Need a train pass? Here's one. Need a Lunch recommendation? No problem. They also picked us up at the train station and dropped us off when we were ready to travel on to Vienna. It's a great feeling to be an independent tourist, but at the same time knowing someone has your back.

I don't know if these were built as studios two years ago and then they were converted into a hotel, but everything is done in IKEA (EE-key-Ah) and very modern. They have an enclosed bedroom through a glass slider with a seating area, kitchenette, and dining area plus lots of wardrobes. I would feel comfy here if I were on a business trip for a week. Perks, the terrace views are amazing. There is also a public terrace for rooms without terraces that has great views of the square and prague castle (the largest castle in the world). The front desk attendant who is just that was very personable and had was happy to give us suggestions, but he was no concierge. I would say that was the only negative point that this is not a full service hotel. No room service, No valet parking, the lobby is manned from 6 AM to 10PM. But have no fear, you can get fried cheese, sausages, and beer from the stand that is right outside the hotel lobby. The hotel is also just a few minutes to the Mustek underground station where you could get to anywhere in Prague from or you could walk right to Old Town Square or jump on a tram to the castle.

Location. The apartment is near everything in downtown Prague and we just parked our car and walked everywhere. You are within striking distance of several coffee shops, restaurants, two grocery stores, and a small mall. Great central location, but not too central where you hear the partiers at 3am on a Friday night. Parking. Very secure parking. You'll pay 15 Euro a night, but it's well worth it. The car is in a garage on the apartment property, and you have the garage door remote control. I've heard car theft is a big problem in Prague; not a problem for me, since we had secure parking. Property/Rooms. The property is very nice Finding it is a little hard, since the MH Apartment sign is a little small and you have to really look for it. Entrance into the apartments is controlled by a key code and car entrance is controlled by a remote control. The room we had was nice and came with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, bathroom, a living area, and a semi-separate bedroom. The room came with a small supply of toiletries and four espresso pods for the espresso machine (complements of the staff). Overall...four stars. I enjoyed the apartment and we'll likely use MH Apartments for our next Prague visit.

It's housed in a 17th century home that spans several floors of rooms, offering all the old world charm you'd expect with lots of modern conveniences tossed in. The owner/operators and their staff are extremely friendly and exceedingly helpful. They arranged for a car to pick us up at the airport to relieve the pressure of navigating cabs in a foreign language within minutes of arrival. Upon arrival, we were welcomed, checked in and escorted to our amazing room within minutes. The room featured two windows surrounded by vines and flowers that opened to overlook the square below and the German Embassy. The furniture was older, but extremely comfortable. The bathroom was refurbished with modern fixtures, including a nice glass shower and rain shower head. Breakfast each morning was an informal affair with the staff spending time with each guest. The offerings included cereals, pastries and other items on the table, as well as cooked-to-order eggs and breakfast meats. There was lots of coffee and juice as well. Overall, a wonderful breakfast option until we learned our way around. The staff helped with tour bookings, cabs, restaurant recommendations and reservations and even some cultural conversation over a glass of wine on a cold, rainy night. When we were ready to depart, they arranged for a car to take us to the train station and offered water and fruit for the trip. We can only categorize our stay at House at the Big Boot as wonderful and would recommend this hotel to anyone without reservations.

One of the highlights of the hotel is the Executive Lounge, which is open daily from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Throughout the day, guests have access to water, soft drinks, coffee, and snacks, with additional food offerings during designated hours. The evening happy hour was excellent, featuring beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages in a comfortable and relaxing setting. The fitness facilities were more than adequate for vacation needs. The gym includes cardio equipment, rowing machines, treadmills, a Pilates area, and free weights. The heated indoor pool and sauna were fantastic and provided a perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was truly exceptional and one of the best Hilton breakfast experiences I have had. The buffet included approximately five different stations, including a made-to-order omelet station, hot breakfast selections, cold cuts and cheeses, fresh breads and pastries, fruits, and a pancake station. Location is perfect - it is walking distance to the Astronomical Clock, restaurants, the mall, and the bus station. My SO booked through Amex, so we received a $100 voucher that we spend at the hotel restaurant. Check - in was easy, and the staff were friendly and spoke good English. Our room was spacious; the beds and pillows very comfortable, and the bathroom was well stocked. Charging our devices was no problem but we were ready though we brought an adapter. Free breakfast had plenty of options and everything tasted fresh. We enjoyed it for sure. It is a good place to stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Prague.
