My family and I recently stayed at the Hilton Prague old town, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The hotel is conveniently located near Prague's city center, making it easy to walk to many of the city's major attractions, including the Jewish Quarter, Old Town Square, the Astronomical Clock, and numerous shops and restaurants. One of the highlights of the hotel is the Executive Lounge, which is open daily from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Throughout the day, guests have access to water, soft drinks, coffee, and snacks, with additional food offerings during designated hours. The evening happy hour was excellent, featuring beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages in a comfortable and relaxing setting. The fitness facilities were more than adequate for vacation needs. The gym includes cardio equipment, rowing machines, treadmills, a Pilates area, and free weights. The heated indoor pool and sauna were fantastic and provided a perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was truly exceptional and one of the best Hilton breakfast experiences I have had. The buffet included approximately five different stations, including a made-to-order omelet station, hot breakfast selections, cold cuts and cheeses, fresh breads and pastries, fruits, and a pancake station. My son and I looked forward to breakfast every morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. Most importantly, the staff were consistently friendly, professional, and eager to help. I have absolutely no complaints about the service we received. I would especially like to recognize Hannah at the front desk. She went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Hannah helped coordinate a birthday cake for my son's birthday during our stay. Even more impressively, although we were departing Prague before my wife's birthday celebration could take place, Hannah somehow coordinated with the Hilton in Vienna so that when we arrived there, a surprise birthday cake was waiting for my wife. She absolutely loved the gesture, and it made our trip even more special. Thank you, Hannah, for your kindness, attention to detail, and exceptional service. Prague, Czech Republic By far the best hotel we stayed at for our Europe trip aside from Corendon Hotel in Amsterdam. Location is perfect - it is walking distance to the Astronomical Clock, restaurants, the mall, and the bus station. My SO booked through Amex, so we received a $100 voucher that we spend at the hotel restaurant. Check - in was easy, and the staff were friendly and spoke good English. Our room was spacious; the beds and pillows very comfortable, and the bathroom was well stocked. Charging our devices was no problem but we were ready though we brought an adapter. Free breakfast had plenty of options and everything tasted fresh. We enjoyed it for sure. It is a good place to stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Prague. read more

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Highly recommend. We initially arrived early and our room was not ready, but they held our bags for us, while we took a stroll around town. We received an upgrade on our room to the top floor and was able to have free access to happy hour and breakfast at their restaurant downstairs. Rooms were clean and beds were made up nicely daily with fresh linen and towels provided. Loved how the they also supplied us with large water bottles daily. The breakfast buffet was awesome. They offered a variety of items- made to order egg bar, various breads/sweets, cereals, meats, fruits, juices, teas, coffee, etc. They also offered non dairy and gluten free options as well. The breakfast was well run with servers ready to clean up your plates or take any special orders. Loved the Prague ham, smoked salmon, coconut yogurt, gluten free cereal, egg station, and apple strudel danishes. The free happy hour from 5-7pm was fabulous! Lite bites/appetizers served in a small intimate setting for breakfast and happy hour. Food was delicious and varied daily. Various bottled juices, sodas, water, and alcohol were available. Self serve Majid, our server, was truly an angel- kind, friendly, helpful, and informative. He always had a smile on his face and wanted to make sure we were happy. Thank you! I spent a week at the Hilton and it was... fine? I don't know, I sort of expected better. The room was OK but they gave me an accessible room, which I feel like they should have kept reserved for people who needed the room. The positive was that it was at the very end of a hallway, so it was always quiet. But it was also the third floor and facing the center of the hotel so there wasn't much natural light. It was just kind of dark and depressing. The location is super central, which is nice for getting out and walking around. It's also close to the main station, which was a bonus since I arrived by train and only had to walk 10 minutes or so. The main thing that underwhelmed me was the food. I was here for work and food was included -- that meant breakfast every morning, lunch most days, and snacks. The coffee hours were great because they always had at least one vegan option, but for the actual meals, there were usually a couple things each day I could have. Breakfast was usually fruit and bread -- no vegetarian meat options, no vegan cheese, not even soy yogurt or soy milk for cereal. No potatoes or hashbrowns, and a handful of things that could have worked but were cooked in butter or had meat added, thus eliminating them for me. Lunches weren't much better: I usually ate vegetables and bread. One day they had an amazing vegan blueberry cake. But that was it. I would hope that a hotel this nice would have catered to more dietary concerns, but it was just not what I hoped. The security guy Vlad was a cool dude though. read more

This is a lovely hotel and wonderfully located in the old town part of the city. The accommodation is extremely walkable to all the major tourist sites. It's a short skip and a hop to the old city center square with the clock tower. The reservation desk provided a welcome drink voucher for the ground level bar and restaurant when I arrived at check-in. I got automatically upgraded to a high floor corner room suite on the club tower floor with early check-in. Had access to the executive club for food and beverages at breakfast (6:30 AM) and happy hour (5 PM). Throughout the day you have access to the coffee and beverages and the tables in the executive club for remote work with a mezzanine view. I had a tour excursion and the guide was able to pick me up at without hassle outside my hotel. Also easy for uber/taxi pick up and drop off. Any type of toiletry amenities you can call house keeping and they will provide. They also came to tidy up and clean the room daily. The staff provided some treats, beverages, and a hand written welcome note in the room. There is also a Marriott located across the street so this area is very accommodating to first time tourists and business travelers. Breakfast downstairs was a buffet style and the staff was warm and welcoming. The bar area has a decent Italian restaurant and is a nice option if you are too tired to go out after a long day of sight seeing. I was happy to find availability at the Hilton when my original plans fell thru when I was notified at the last hour that they had overbooked at Lindner Hotel Prague Castle (they downgraded me to a near by local hotel that was not up to par therefore had to cancel my reservation). Although, I am not the target demographic for the Hilton brand (its more baby boomer). The Hilton exceed my expectations and comes highly recommended for any visit to Prague. The Hilton old Town location is pretty unbeatable. The staff is super friendly and if you have status with Hilton, they cover your breakfast at the buffet. Buffet is outstanding- the sheer variety and options will make it worth your while! The executive lounge has a very nice view and extremely hospitable staff. The happy hour with cocktails and bites every evening is a fantastic touch and in itself, is a good reason to buy upgraded rooms. 4 stars instead of 5 because when we visited the construction got in the way (banging sounds for jet lagged people doesn't end up with a good nap time). Great hotel in a great location! With truly a 5 Star Hotel feel, the Hilton Prague Old Town is a great place to stay for either long or short visits. Located in the center of Prague Old Town, you're in walking distance for almost anything you'd wand to do in Prague. Shopping, sightseeing, museums or restaurants, you're only a few minutes walk from just about everything. The best part is that if you decide to walk, you can take in all of the historical architecture throughout this beautiful city. Upon checking in, I found that most of the staff spoke very good English, which does make it easier for many travelers. Upon my arrival, I was notified that I was upgraded to an Executive Room which also came with complimentary access to the Executive Lounge on one of the upper floors. Although there is a full restaurant within the hotel, the Executive Lounge gives you a more intimate and quieter oasis to relax and grab a drink or something to eat. Each morning of my stay, I did have breakfast in the Executive Lounge and unfortunately I didn't visit the in-hotel restaurant. I was pleased with the selection of juices, soft drinks and food that were available for breakfast. Additionally, the Executive Lounge is open throughout the day if you felt like grabbing a beer or glass of wine. Within the surrounding area you'll find easy access to the many street car routes that run through the city. Although I didn't utilize the street car transportation, it looked fairly easy and very accessible. Just down the street there is a plaza type pedestrian area. There you can also access a number of historical bus tours throughout the city as well. Would I go back? Absolutely. It was clean, easy and very nice for the price. I'd highly recommend. read more

Steps away from the heart of Old Town, the location of this hotel cannot be beat. The amenities are mediocre including a small gym, pool and sauna, and breakfast. The pool experience was disappointing. The first day I tried to squeeze in a swim before work but it was being cleaned and I was told to come back in 30 minutes. Maintenance should be done during closed hours! When I finally made it to the pool later in the week, it was pretty cold, and not the "heated" experience I expected. The rooms themselves are decent - a fair size and well maintained. I was disappointed that my view was not only rooms across, but largely a water tank. I did appreciate they refilled the water bottles daily. The breakfast was a decent spread including an omelet station, hot foods, cheeses, pastries and fruit. I stayed here for three nights for a conference nearby. The room was spacious, very clean, and had all the facilities expected from a Hilton. The swimming pool was very good. The breakfast, which I believe was free, was fantastic, with so many options including a cooked-on-site omelette station. The location was great. I walked to most places like astronomical clock and old town and took the tram (a tram station is two minutes away) to some other places. Overall, it was a great stay. Isabela was on reception when we checked in, she was wonderful, helpful, provided insight and a very pleasant opening to our stay. The hotel felt relatively new, and modern, everything was really well done, staff were friendly, we should mention the concierge on both nights, recommended local places to eat and made sure we had reservations - both of them were extremely helpful, and led to great dinners! One note, it was only a couple of blocks walk from the main train station, no need to get a cab or uber, just walk so long as it's not raining. Really enjoyed our time at the Hilton Prague Old Town. Rooms were nice and clean, as expected. The Executive Lounge was a key meeting point for those with access. Sabrana was extremely helpful and polite. Providing items that we requested. And suggesting the evening hors d'oeuvres were more than we might expect. Ahmed at the front desk was extremely helpful and accommodating. He was able to get us rooms a little early which was much appreciated. Stayed here for several nights while in town on vacation and I really enjoyed great service here. Location was perfect as a tourist. A short walk from the central train station. You could take a tram for one station. Uber deluxe was 8 when raining. Currently executive lounge closed on 5th floor but they have happy hour and breakfast at the ground floor restaurant. I paid for my room with points earned from my Chase Sapphire card and so I checked in to the hotel with absolutely zero status. I was assigned a standard room on the fourth floor which was pretty comfortable though not as roomy or as full-featured as the ones my friends enjoyed with Diamond status. Clean and tidy, the bed was firm and comfortable. The thermometer has no real indicators on it so I was never able to get the room to be completely comfortable heat-wise. It faced an interior courtyard so I had no noise from the street. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. Everyone spoke English well enough that I was able to get by just fine. The concierge desk helped us organize a dinner cruise that was excellent. I did not visit the lounge for breakfast (time zone differences kept me asleep past then) but I heard from others that it was great. Main complaint was that the wifi was hit or miss with multiple disconnections and reconnections required. And the standard shower with the half-glass that seems especially popular in Europe. Why?? Wonderful stay here! The feel is very old but very well kept. The restaurant was consistently good. Here for the holidays and the hotel made sure it was prepared. Cleaning staff was competent and quietly efficient. Very short walk to old town square. Gorgeous architecture everywhere you look. Hotel is quiet and comfy. Rooms average size. Executive lounge is nice for drinks and snacks in the afternoon. The bellman Peter was extremely helpful start to finish. He literally snagged me as I walked in the door and helped us with our bags and was there every time we needed something the entire time. He booked our airport van and loaded it for us as well. Smiling the entire time I really think he enjoys his job. I'll be back next Christmas! read more

I have a ton of Hilton points that I save up to cash in, so that's how I ended up at the Hilton Prague Old Town. The location is within easy walking distance from the main train station (a 10 minute brisk walk) and also to the heart of Old Town (10 minute stroll), making it an excellent choice if you have an early train but also want to be in a central location. The front desk was phenomenal, friendly, spoke great English, and extremely welcoming. Our room was ready upon arrival and I was surprised to find a little dessert treat and a nice plate of fresh fruit and nuts in the room. Our room was beautiful and modern with windows that opened (crucial for us in the winter when the hotel has the heat blasting; it's the only way for us to keep cool). The bed was comfortable with nice linens and the bathroom was sleek and functional. We had a modern flatscreen t.v. as well as a Nespresso machine for making our own espresso. We had a great cathedral view too. The Executive Lounge was good, as they are in most of Europe. Hiltons treat their Diamond HHonors VIPs so much better than they do at properties in the U.S. The lounge is open from 6 am - 10:30 pm with bottled water and sodas available during that time. Breakfast starts at 6:30 am and they have a tea time with light snacks, a cheese time on weekends, and free beer and wine from 6 pm - 10 pm (liquor is available too, during the designated cocktail hour times). I really enjoyed my brief stay at this hotel. The room was nice, the service excellent, and the location good. There's even a grocery store directly across the street in case you need sundries. read more

A very nice hotel situated right on the cusp of old town & new town. From the outside it looks quite "eastern block" but inside it is a beautiful property with a nice restaurant and bar. We received an upgrade to a King deluxe suite which was very nice and very functional. The only small negative is that you cannot turn the air conditioning off but that is being ultra picky. Executive lounge is small but offer a good continental breakfast with one hot item between 7am - 10.30am, at night it offers free bar with nibbles between 5pm - 7pm. Location is fantastic, staff very efficiently go about their day, would highly recommend and would most definitely stay again read more

This Hilton was great. It was updated, had everything I could ask for in the room. Something they had that is uncommon in Europe is washcloths, which I was glad to see! They had all the amenities I could hope for, toiletries, slippers, robe, minibar and a couple waters and corn tubes (chips) likely due to my diamond status. Checked in a day late at the Hilton Prague Old Town (due to travel issues) and the concierge team was more than willing to get my trip back on track. I'm speaking at a small conference here for Microsoft, and the check in counter for our event was fully visible from the hotel lobby. I was able to not only get my room key but also my conf badge in under 15 minutes. Probably one of the most efficient check ins I've ever had. After getting my things situated in my room, it was late so I went down to the in-hotel bar / lounge. Had an open seat right at the bar (I'm a bar kind of guy) so I walked past several full tables and got right to it. Ordered my first Czech beer (Pilsner Urquell) and had a smoked salmon caesar salad. Both hit the spot. Both bartenders working tonight made sure I had no questions, that the food and drinks were to my liking. I'm Marriott Titanium Elite but can see why so many love Hilton, exceptional service all around. The people here are very courteous. read more

Customer service and amenities really made this place for me. I was lucky enough to have gotten the upgrades to the executive floor and the lounge, along with free breakfast and wifi - perks for being a Hilton honors I guess. I even took advantage of their concierge service. I was glad that I did so, because they arranged my airport pick up and return, as well as scheduled a day trip out of Prague. The rooms were clean and up to date. The TV was huge, and nearly took the entirely width of the king size bed. The other huge thing was the towels - lol - it was practically like drying yourself off with a twin sized bed comforter. The Peter Thomas Roth toiletries were pleasant as usual. The breakfast was good, very carb/pastry heavy for my liking however the friendly staff made it a delight. Definitely would come back and stay here - ditto on the perfect central location. read more

I recently went to Prague for 1 night and stayed at the Hilton ($175/night). The location is great and is minutes from a huge mall and street eats. Old Town Square is about a 10 minute walk and the Charles Bridge is about a 20 minute walk. The Prague Castle is a bit further but still walkable (about 45 minutes uphill). The hotel is very modern and the rooms are decent in size (plus there are 2 complimentary water bottles in the room). They also have a nice lobby with a coffee/tea bar in the morning. The customer service was the highlight of our stay. During my last few hours in Prague, I was pickpocketed in Old Town square (BEWARE!!! There are so many crooks waiting for opportunities). I had checked out earlier that morning and left my luggage at the front desk. I quickly ran back to the Hilton and let them know what happened to me. I asked if I could call my credit card companies and Martin helped me for over an hour by getting me all the appropriate phone numbers and dialing for me. He could not have been more helpful and I am so grateful for his assistance. All of the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I will definitely stay here if I am in town again. read more

Check-in was easy and quick. They even gave us a room at 11:30am with no problem. The first night we were bothered by loud banging and noises due to some remodeling that was taking place on a floor above us. I called in the morning and was told we could move to a better room. Every person we spoke to was so accommodating and helpful. They apologized and even upgraded our internet. The second room they moved us to was smaller than the first one and was an adjoining room. It also had a sink problem and needed repair. I didn't want to complain again, so we just accepted the room. Unfortunately, we were woken up by the people in the room that adjoined to ours. We could hear everything they were doing in the bathroom, it was very uncomfortable. I called the front desk and explained the situation. I don't understand why they put me in an adjoining room when I asked for a quiet room because I wasn't feeling well and needed to sleep. Ralitsa, the front desk supervisor, apologized and did not understand why they chose that room. She offered to move us, which we accepted. She upgraded our room which was better than the first room we had. We were also given vouchers for breakfast (which is amazing, you should try it). We encounter problems and many times they are unavoidable. I was very impressed by the courtesy and kindness each staff member showed us. Although I don't understand being given an adjoining room with sink problems, they were all so very kind. Each room was very clean and comfortable. Best hospitality and service we have been show by hotel staff. Great job Hilton! They need to be highly regarded. read more

Stayed at the Hilton on the tail end of a trip to the area. The lobby & hotel itself were lovely, however I was disappointed in the room as well as the friendliness of many of the staff. The good: The room was large enough with a comfortable bed, small sitting area, desk & plenty of closet space. There was a mini fridge Very nice breakfast (although it took quite some time to get coffee) The bad: 1 bar of soap for 2 people to share in the shower & the sink area for 2 days. Really? At a Hilton? Same with shampoo & conditioner Room was stifling at night despite the fact that the AC was on. Charge for Wifi in room so we had to go to the lobby to use it. For a chain like Hilton I expected so much more. I would not stay here again. read more

Our room was included as part of a Danube River cruise, and we were somewhat disappointed, primarily because the room simply would not get cool enough at night to allow comfortable sleeping. Additionally, we were given a non-smoking room, but the lavatory had obvious cigarette burns in several places, and had an unpleasant odor whenever the tap was turned on. Additionally, our room on the 6th floor looked directly into an office building directly across the street, offering us no view whatsoever. Every little item is charged for, including bottled water left at bedside. Finally, it is virtually impossible to get a City Cab from this hotel, meaning you are almost forced to use the hotel's own cab service, which is more expensive. On the positive side, the location is very good, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast (included in price of our room) was excellent. Next visit I'd opt to spend a little more money and stay in a nicer hotel. read more

I am a Lifetime Diamond member and I have been extremely loyal to the Hilton brand over the years. In return, my expectations are high especially when traveling for pleasure. We stayed at the Hilton Prague April 14-16 before we transferred to the Hilton Prague Oldtown. Our experience at this hotel was one of the worst I have ever experienced. We booked the room through our Viking River Cruise and found the staff and management to be extremely rude and unaccommodating. As a Lifetime Diamond member I have stayed over 1200 nights. We had a simple request, access to the Executive Lounge. We understood we booked through a 3rd party and thought the hotel would be happy to work with us. I didn't ask for points for our stay, or an upgrade, just access to the lounge so we could meet and talk about our trip. The hotel said since we booked through a 3rd party, we would not have access to anything and they didn't care about my loyalty and status with Hilton. The staff was rude but the hotel manager, MICHAEL KOTLIN was even more rude! I have stayed all over the world at Hilton hotels and NEVER BEEN DENIED access to the Executive Lounge. I don't mind being denied but they didn't have to be rude. I called the Hilton Diamond Desk and they called me back saying they also were treated rudely and there was nothing that could be done as it is a local decision. After checking out, we transferred our bags via the Hilton hotel car to the Hilton Oldtown, about 1.5 miles away and then we went to the train station (1 mile) for a day trip to Vienna. We could not check in as it was 7:00am so we dropped off our bags. The concierge, Jan, quoted me about $15 for the entire trip. When we arrived at the train station the bill jumped to $50! There was nothing I could so I paid the driver, but again this is a reflection of the poor management at the Hilton Prague. The Hilton Oldtown treated very well and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. This hotel doesn't compare to the other Hiltons we visited. We're diamond members so we expected a room upgrade. The room wasn't satisfactory, poor view, small bathroom. We complained to the front desk, so he gave us an executive room. The view overlooked a construction site near the highway. Again, we complained. We wound up paying $100 extra, daily, for an executive suite. It was better, but the living area was sparsely furnished. The executive lounge was a joke! The tables were cramped together, so much so, that the guy seated behind me moved his chair to get up and banged right into me ( no apology!) The food was inedible. read more

Nothing wrong with this hotel, but it is slightly outdated. We stayed here for Christmas and we really enjoyed the fire in the lobby. Very convenient location for walking to restaurants and the Christmas markets. Make sure to have the hotel call you a cab with a flat pre-determine rate. The other cab drivers will rip you off. read more
