I asked Bruce Daigle if he could do flag stone patiio, which he assured me he could. We had it built last fall to enjoy this summer ~ We CANNOT and DID NOT! He had 3 men work on it and he didn't supervise at all, but only hauled materials. The man that designed it (yeah designed allright!) Bruce later found out was a heroin addict! The stones were not placed close enough as pictures will show (more like 4-6-8 inches apart instead of 1-2 inches). He did not use motar, but polimer sand! WHEN the polimer sand was being set Bruce "DID" do that himself. However, he did NOT mist as in a fine rain, but put the hose full force and washed it out on my flag stone and made a lot of them a tan instead of the brown they were! I informed him last Fall that it hadn't taken and he promised to come fix it, he did NOT. He promised several times this summer, he did NOT. When I found him in his office a few weeks ago he informed me that he didn't have the manpower to come fix it ~ HOWEVER, he DID have the manpower to so call build it last year and take my money! We are on Social Security and we have over $6.300 in that patio. Not all of it went to him, BUT it's "HIS PART IN IT" that makes it so that we cannot sit even a chair on it without two legs sinking let alone a patio table or patio swing. We cannot use it AT ALL! He didn't even use weed block and weeds are coming in all through it "Everywhere"!!! The rocks have all tipped and one side of every stone is flat with the "sand" and the other side sticking up so to trip over, which my husband did and would not go out on it again!!! My husband and I are confined to the house because of Covid and my husbands extremely weak immune system and we can't even sit outside because of Bruce's "inexperienced try at something he knew nothing about how to do"!!? It wasn't fun at all staying in the house ALL SUMMER, while he and wife go boating, have new camper, new pickup and ALL we wanted was a patio to sit out on and get some fresh summer air ~ a patio that we "PAID FOR LAST YEAR"!!! Now Covid is making another round with the Delta variant and we will be going through the same thing the rest of this fall and next summer ALL OVER AGAIN! It's impossible for me to hire someone to remove the MESS he made behind our house because Nobody Wants To Touch The Mess (Thank You Bruce!)!!! If one were ever to look at this house to buy, they would definitely be calculating in their head how much it would cost for them to remove "SUCH A MESS"! We are in our 70's & 80's, my husbnand is a Veteran, and we have been thoroughly scammed by Bruce Diagle! I just want to MOVE out of this house!!! I HATE it! He has made our home something that I dread looking outside and I WON'T have company at all even outside because I'm Certainly "Way Toooo Embarrassed"!! Someone PLEASE tell me that there is justice in this so I can believe it! To me he scammed two elderly who are on social security and we helped buy his summer toys. I wanted a contract at the beginning and he assured me that he was honest and I didn't need one, but if I thought I would like to have one he would bring it when he started the job. He conveniently forgot it! That should have been my "First Red Flag", but I'm a trusting person. My suggestion to someone who is thinking of hiring him (you aren't serious, are you?) is to have a "lawyer" make up a contract and don't trust him otherwise one tiny bit! He has blocked me on Facebook (though I said absolutely NOTHING bad~I didn't even comment on timeline except to give Kathy (wife) likes etc. on hers. I did private message her to try to get Bruce to come down ~ hence... BLOCKED. I called the office ONCE after that and he blocked me on the phone!!! How about that??? REAL MATURE! What a 'great business man"! I'd say that's the actions of a "guilty party"!!! This is actually working on me mentally for the fact I HATE it and my husband and I will be confined IN THE HOUSE all next summer too. Two years of the later years of our life. May it come back at you Bruce in your later years. You knew (and know) that my husband is "extremely ill" and might not make it to see next summer, but your oh so caring comment was "I know he's not well" instead of "I'll really try to find someone to take that out of there". You knew and know I need back surgery and I'll REALLY be confined to this MESS OF A PLACE (and inside looking out at that MESS)!!! I really hope your are proud of yourself and enjoy your summers camping, riding on your boat, BBQ's etc. while we sit in the house and wish ALL WE HAD was a patio to sit on!!!!!! You know.... THE ONE WE PAID FORE A YEAR AGO??!! You are one of the most DISHONEST and IMMATURE Business (?) men I've ever had the encounter to unfortunately know.
