Stepping in, it was more like cafe offering variety of drinks than regular HK style bakery. Bright and clean. Looking closely at each product, the quality seemed to be better than other counterparts- each looked fluffier, less greasy, and a bit more sophisticated in presentation. I got - BLB (Bo Lo Bao): Crunchy cookie crust on soft bun. - Crispy cream: Crispy sweet topping on soft bao - Chestnut Bao - Sugar donut - Egg tart Buns are very pillowy. The taste was "milk forward", no detectable butter flavor, which makes their aftertaste light & healthy. I found that the texture is a bit drier than I preferred. We liked Chestnut Bao. Chestnut paste matched the milky sweet bun. Overall, affordable, a lot of options and comforting. Next time I want to try savory types of buns!!! Oh each buns are individually bagged and sealed. Which is great, but you want to open it before buns with sugar topping get soggy inside. ;)

The inside has mochis layered within along with black sesame cake, more of that nutty crumble crunch and at the bottom is fresh mangoes. I honestly don't know which one I like better but I am craving either cakes again (I had both within the last 3 weeks haha). The service there is still excellent. Their Pandesal (Filipino bread rolls) is pretty famous here so make sure you pick up a bag. For 12 mini loafs in a bag is only $3.75. I'm not quite familiar with Filipino sweets so it was hard to choose but everything was reasonably price for about $1.3 to $3 so we just picked up randomly a variety of sweets. They like to use Ube (Purple Yam) in their sweets so everything look so pretty! We also picked up their savoury steamed pork buns (Siopao) which comes in a package of 3 for $5.25. These are similar to the chinese BBQ pork buns but the meat is juicier and bread is not as dense and sweeter. We really liked these buns and one is filling enough for a light lunch. I haven't tried all the sweets that we bought yet but my favourite so far is the Ube cake and Cuchinta (steamed brown sugar tapioca or rice flour cake). I'm definitely a fan now for Filipino sweets!

I had no problem backing into an available spot and walking over to the bakery. You can smell the butter as you approach the main entrance. I was excited to check it out. It has buns with various fillings. I completely ignored this section when I saw macaron sets in the display case. I wanted to get it for my friend and colleague. I also got six molten cheese tarts. They looked so good. I thought that it would be perfect to share with my small team. The woman behind the counter was so patient and friendly. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I then carried my goodies to my car. My friend was happy to get the macarons. I haven't asked him how they were. I will when we are both back in the office. I'll need to get a set for me to enjoy. The molten cheese tarts were a hit. My friend and I loved how delicious and smooth the cheese tart filling was. It had a slight saltiness with the buttery crust that worked so well with the filling. My friend had two. I had two. I offered my manager one. He didn't hesitate. He took his first bite and was sucked into the heavenly goodness of this magical tart. I'm not kidding. It's amazing. I don't recall who ate the last one. I just know that it was gone and I had nothing to bring home. I will return and get some buns. The design is interesting to look at. The cake itself is not bad - not light nor heavy, just the right cake consistency. The black sesame cream has a hint of black sesame in it and adds moisture. The most controversial part of the cake is the little black sesame cubes on the top of the cake. These undeniably have more black sesame flavor but lean towards the drier side. I wish they were a bit more moist but still the black sesame flavor is nice. Price: I do find cakes here on the pricier side and while the flavors are unique, there's a lot of competition with other Asian bakeries where you can get a pretty similar flavor profile for cheaper.

The curry bun could use more filling, but the pastry itself was flaky and flavorful. The cheese chicken bun was huge and super satisfying. We got it fresh so the outside was crisp and the cheese stayed gooey. We also grabbed their famous egg tarts. They kept selling out and the kitchen was scrambling to keep up, so we pre-ordered and came back thirty minutes later to pickup. Totally worth it. The crust is flaky and buttery and the filling is silky and creamy. In our opinion, these are the best egg tarts in the city.
