Dr. Tulcan, who performed the procedure, was so calming and gentle, explaining everything, answering all my questions, and making sure I was comfortable at all times. Again, and I know this is hard to believe, but I honestly did not feel a thing, other than a 1-second tiny pinch when getting the anesthesia. Read the other reviews and you will see that I am not alone on this. I was so nervous going in to the office, not knowing what to expect, and thinking that this would be a very painful experience, based on what so many people told me my whole life of their experiences with other dentists. However, when it was done, I could not have been more pleased. Hopefully, I will not need another root canal for the next 62 years of my life, but if I do, I will not hesitate to go back to Contemporary Endodontics. They are some of the nicest and gifted people and professionals that you could ever hope to meet! After going to see Doctors Tulcan & Firic, I guarantee that the expression "I would rather have a root canal", will have a whole new meaning. In addition, their office is beautiful, and they use the most sophisticated equipment, and all of the staff are so helpful, caring, and friendly. The only thing you will regret, is if you go somewhere else!

Heaven sent! I had heard great things about Dr. Jakob, and…read moreafter my experience this week, I know they are all true. Dr. Jakob squeezed me into his busy schedule after I suffered over a four-day holiday weekend with lightning-bolt pain radiating across the entire right side of my mouth. Seeing my obvious distress, he immediately gave me four shots to get the pain under control--a wonderful start. My case was complicated. I had a single tooth with four calcified, narrowed roots that required complex root canal therapy. Dr. Jakob worked with determined, gentle precision. He has an incredible calming manner that helped me to relax. I felt like a team player working in tandem with him and his lovely assistant, Tanya. In fact, Dr. Jakob's entire hand-picked staff is the absolute epitome of empathy. As someone who is both claustrophobic and dental-phobic, I never imagined I could get through an ordeal like this. But I did, and I am so grateful. I'm recovering well by following his post-op instructions and, I am truly counting my blessings--Dr. Jakob is now one of them. I highly recommend Dr. Jakob to anyone in need of an endodontist!

Quadrupled up on OTC pain killers, repeatedly, very little effect; I was climbing the walls for 2 days. Receptionist says Pain is OK, I hung up on her. He refused to prescribe the appropriate pain killers to get me past the second day. I explained to him that is his job, to know the possible pain level, to get out ahead of it, prescribe appropriately and judiciously. I am not a child, I can conduct myself appropriately also. He is not warm, he is cold with a facade. Bathroom is a 10 minute walk, and he does not tell you that you must spend even more money to get the cap put on the root canal. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Office looks great, staff is young and without any life experience, but nice. Chaim Jakob should not be in a position of causing that kind of pain. He does not possess the wisdom, compassion, judiciousness and savvy to inflict a root canal and cause 48 hours of hell. I have more work that needs doing but it will be anyone but him. DFK

My dentist took X-rays in June and September and he couldn't see anything. I was not in pain but the tooth just had a weird sensation. My dentist explained that Dr. Ginzler had a microscope and a certain X-ray that was not available in my very well equipped and modern dental office. Uh-Oh. This can't be good, I though to myself. I had a consult with Dr. Ginzler, and he brought me into a room to view the X-rays. He explained what had happened, which matched up exactly with what I had experienced. He showed me my X-ray and another X-ray for comparison. He makes sure you understand everything. He's very patient and speaks with a soothing demeanor. It was reassuring. Nobody is without anxiety about having a root canal. He understands this. Anyway, to wrap up: had the consult on 10-9, had the root canal on 10-12. Absolutely zero pain. None. Not during and not after. That night I couldn't even tell I'd had anything done. He is a really cool guy and an expert at his craft. His office staff was "on it" every step of the way. Pleasant, efficient and didn't need anything from me except my insurance card. They 100% handled everything which is always appreciated. I hate having to deal with my insurance company on my own, and I didn't. First Class all the way. Can't say enough good things. Not one negative.

My dentist first did my veneers 25 years ago, and they were absolutely beautiful and long-lasting. When it came time to refresh them about 20 years later, I wouldn't have trusted anyone else--and once again, the results were incredible. The attention to detail, expertise, and commitment to perfection truly set this practice apart. Beyond the dental work itself, the entire experience is always top-notch. The staff is warm, professional, and genuinely caring, making every visit comfortable and stress-free. It's rare to find a dentist you can trust for decades, but this team has earned that trust many times over. I have used the same dentist in NYC for approximately 25 years and the thought of going to someone else terrified me. However, as it turned out it was an extremely positive experience and I could not be happier with Dr. Schwartz and his entire staff. I must emphasize here that as someone with a Masters of Public Administration with a concentration in Management, I am rarely impressed with doctor's office staff, but I have nothing but kind words for everyone here, and it just keeps on getting better. Before I get started on the nitty gritty details, I want to stress that I research any doctor BEFORE I even step foot in their office. And since I was so absolutely NOT thrilled with the prospect of needing to go to a dentist in a state where I did not know any, I did even more research than usual to find Dr. Schwartz. I can tell you that hands down no one in a very large radius even came close to being as highly regarded by his patients than Dr. Schwartz, and with my experience with him under my belt, I know why. He is simply exceptional! Like many others during COVID, I neglected keeping up with my dental care. Hind sight is 20/20 and I do understand that was a major mistake. In my defense, I had severe immunity issues due to 32 years of illnesses and was understandably concerned for my safety. Unfortunately, my neglect of my teeth did not end with avoiding the dentist because of COVID. Chronic illnesses do not tend to improve your life and it certainly did not help improve my once fastidious grooming routines. Dr. Schwartz's reaction to seeing my mouth was to describe it as a 5 alarm fire. I deserved it! It is now almost 2 months since I first saw him. After my first appointment, which was an incredibly thorough evaluation, I returned home and told my Mom to make an appointment to come see him ASAP. I want to point out that my Mom had the exact same reaction to both his office staff and him as I did. They are both keepers. We actually tried to reschedule our return trip to NYC in order to complete some of my dental work with Dr. Schwartz. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, it simply was not possible. However, despite that fact, I was able to complete the vast majority of work that needed to be done in my mouth. In fact, I was there today, and will be back in two days time, just so Dr. Schwartz can complete as much as possible before I leave Florida. I have very few rules that I live by (okay, I am stretching the true here a bit) but one of the rules I most believe in, is in not going to a dentist twice in one week. No offense meant here by my comment. It simply isn't my favorite thing to do! Despite that rule, the reality of the situation is that I am both lucky and privileged to see Dr. Schwartz twice in one week! Keep smiling!

It's wonderful when you find a great doctor. I already have a great dentist (see that review…read moreseparately), but I needed to have two root canals (because one wouldn't be nearly as much fun as having two) and Dr. Prusakowski was the endodontist who they recommended. He is a bit of a drive being up in Boca, but he was worth the trip. First, the office is clean and well done. It's very cheery and inviting and it doesn't make you feel like you're about to die. Like some dental offices I've been to in South Florida (that's a separate review too). The front office staff are very nice and that's important. I was brought to the back and Dr. Prusakowski came in. He is awesome. Very nice, very personable. It turns our we're both originally from Pennsylvania and his mother's family comes from my area. What a small world. He looked at my x-rays and we discussed the treatment, and then he got to work. To say this place is state of the art would be an understatement. I've had root canals and I managed a dental office, but this place is far beyond anything I've seen before. And I was incredibly impressed at both the speed and accuracy of the work he was doing (using a microscope, that was just blowing me away), and his rapport with Ingrid, his assistant. She is amazing as well. She is very much an extension of his own hands. And the root canals? Pretty much painless. Even the injections didn't hurt. I never felt a thing throughout the procedures, even though he had to extirpate three roots. If you have to have a root canal, at least know there is a dentist who is going to do it well, with a minimal amount of discomfort in a very nice office with very nice staff. Looking at Dr. Prusakowski's other reviews, I see I'm not the only one who finds him to be excellent.

Dr Fistel was very nice (to me anyway- I heard he could get pretty crazy to other patients), but I got the feeling he didn't really know what he was doing. I had a crown come off at least 5 times and had to come back. The staff was pleasant so it wasn't that terrible, but it was pretty inconvenient. Whenever he would work on me, he would press on my lips with his hand and really hurt me. Not fun. He was sensitive to my TMJ issues though, and would check in and see if I needed breaks, which was nice. Anyway, Dr Cohen is extremely nice and also knowledgeable. He had a mouth guard made for me that has improved my TMJ. Unfortunately I had to get a new crown made (even though I got the previous one 3 years ago) which was pretty pricey, but I am confident that this one will be much better. Also a vast improvement is the front desk changed from Dr Fistel's wife to actual office manager, etc people. They are much more organized and also much nicer than Fran. Fran could be nice at times, but she could also be very nosy and it stressed me out dealing with her (anxious/upset energy). My husband stopped coming here because of her, she overcharged him and then was a B about it. The rest of the staff stayed the same and they have always been fantastic. I will continue coming here and I am very happy. Well, as happy as I can be about getting dental work done, lol.
