I almost feel like we are at a spa or retreat while we do our laundry. The vibe was so chill. Had a nice Jazz Bar meets Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru's house on Tatooine. The payment technology was simple and upgrades were included. Charged my phone and enjoyed free Wi-Fi. Near our hotel the cost would have been about $105 compared to like $32 plus a subway fare, so much better. With a great coffee from across the street and friendly staff we couldn't ask for anything more. We'll be coming back in a few days before we leave Sydney.

I submitted a dress for dry cleaning on Tuesday afternoon. The dress was new (only a couple of…read moreweeks old) and I was told I could pick it up on Wednesday afternoon. At 5:45pm on Wednesday - I went to pick it up and told the dress was not ready and to come back the next day. Friday morning I went to pick the dress up. It now has significant staining on the back. Similar to the kind of stains you would see if you placed an iron on fabric for too long. A crusty, burnt stain. We were told "we were unable to get this stain out and we want to keep the dress another day to try again". So basically - they ruined my dress and then lied about it, acting like it was a pre-existing stain (it 100% was not there when I submitted the dress to them). I will never use them again.

We wash our own clothes and get them to iron, because let's face it, who wants to iron a business shirt. We usually get a basket of stuff for about $20. We often get dry cleaning and they always do an excellent job. You can also go there to do your washing and wait or have them do it. I have also asked a few times for some sewing work which is pretty cheap. The best part of this place is the owner Jack, who is seriously the nicest guy. His wife Jane is lovely too. I doubt they ever sleep, because they are always there and always busy and I think they only close on Christmas - they need a break!! Solution is getting someone to do it all for you. This laundromat does a range of services such as altering, dry cleaning and of course the classic washing. They do a laundry bag wash and with that all those hours of slogging up and down stairs to the washer and dryer is no longer your concern. They charge roughly $25-$30 for about 10 days worth of washing. I go to the gym daily and work clothes each day so combined I would have a sizeable amount to be washed. They offer same day service and hours are pretty long 7am-7pm most days so it's possible to drop before and collect after work. Been using them for about 6 months and have had very few issues with them regarding quality. On one occasion a t-shirt or two was damaged but partly because they aren't meant for dryer but that's my fault. Convenient and affordable would have no problem recommending them to a friend.

It was done same-day, and I chose to have it delivered to the hotel for a nominal fee instead of walking back to fetch it. When the clean laundry didn't get delivered to my door by 5 as expected, I went down to the front desk to inquire and they said it hadn't been delivered, so I called Wash on the Rocks. They answered, called the driver, confirmed it had indeed been delivered (at 4:30!), then had the hotel bellman call me to confirm as well. I ran down to get that laundry so fast! I just really appreciated both the convenience and the immediate problem solving; it was the hotel's error, not theirs, but they really worked to get me those clean clothes. Highly recommend.

It is stocked with at least 10 washing machines and six driers, and is the only laundrette I know in the area which is open seven days a week. Grab a coffee from any of the countless cafes nearby and take a sit on the bench outside, or take advantage of the magazines provided to keep you occupied. This place is a keeper and a true lifesaver on a Sunday afternoon when you suddenly realize you have no clothes for work the next day!
