Stuckey's is like a step back in time, in a good way. It is a fairly small operation off the interstate with large grassy area to walk dogs. The inside is about half souvenir/variety shop and half Dairy Queen. The burgers are juicy and blizzards are typical DQ fare. Service can take a while but it's not McDonalds with an army of teenagers in the kitchen, they might have 2-3 people in the kitchen and one big rush of orders can back them up. read more

Baghdad!? Boy, did I take a wrong turn somewhere! Haha. This rating is only for the gift shop, and the restroom. When I walked in, I ask the young ( at my age, most all of them are young. Haha) female clerk if Stuckey's still had the pecan Tarts that were so good. Well, she walked me over to the Stuckey's display, and we both looked. But unfortunately, they did not have them. However, the clerk said she would check with the manager, while I was in the restroom. The restroom was nice and clean. When I came out, I did a little browsing, and I ended up buying a small plaque (one more thing to dust, haha). This is the worst Dairy Queen I've ever been to. The woman at the counter was rude asking "what do you want". We go to Stuckey's quite a bit and decided to grab a bite at the DQ. The burgers were not cooked enough and tasted like they were leftover, the fries were rock hard. All their salt and pepper shakers on the tables were coated with some kind of greasy nasty stuff couldn't touch them. We brought it to their attention, but it didn't even faze them. I hope they get a visit from the health department. I'll never eat there again, used to love DQ. read more

Unless you just happen to be one of those people who love Stuckey's or are craving Dairy Queen, I recommend you keep on driving and don't bother stopping here while traveling. It is easy to access from I-10 traveling both east and west. The restrooms have definitely seen better days, but are adequate. They could certainly use more attention. Navigating through all the junk they sell just to get to the restroom is an adventure in itself. This place is a horder's dream! The place is dusty... my husband has allergies... needless to say, he walked out sneezing. That was great... I listening to sneezing for the next 30 miles or so. Gas prices are high. If you're in the panhandle and needing gas, look for one of the truck stops like Love's or Flying J. We won't stop here again while traveling the panhandle unless it's an absolute necessity. read more

The Dairy Queen is okay, but the Stucky's is kind of weird. The soy I eres took up a huge are flowing out of the door, almost blocking gas pumps. The food was hot and okay, I got chicken strips. Ok. Imagine you're on a road trip to Disney. You need to stop for the bathroom and food. You notice that you're in Baghdad, FL. Where should you stop? Holy crap. A Dairy Queen and a Stuckeys? Can two fountains of awesomeness occupy the same building? Stuckey's is the perfect road trip stop. The bathrooms were acceptable, but the junk for sale really makes this an awesome place. Need a coon-skin cap, silly bumper sticker, cheesy decorative items, cookbook or Mexican blanket jacket? Well this is the place. The selection can only be described as legendary. The Dairy Queen is a smaller version of their stand alone stores. We skipped the blizzards and just got burgers and fries. The food was just average as was the service, but the ambiance of Stuckey's won us over. I highly recommend you stop here on the way through Baghdad. read more

Horrible. Seriously. I am currently pregnant and my friends jokingly sent me a gift certificate to DQ to satisfy an ice cream craving. There aren't many DQs near us, so we drove out to this location about 20 min from our house. For one, the woman at the counter was terribly rude. When someone approaches you and asks how you are doing, the polite thing to do is at least respond and not stare as if I'm taking up precious moments of your time. We then tried to use our gift card to pay for our order and were told "gift cards cannot be used at that location because of a system error". The gift card specifically has the coding for the cashier to key in to the computer to take the dollar amount off. I guess either that is a tough concept, or they just didn't feel like dealing with it. The woman who helped us initially was so rude that we almost said forget it and left, but only decided to pay because we drove 20 min just to go there. My husband's chili dog was super greasy with what looked like old chili, and my ice cream wasn't awful. Truthfully though, it'd really take skill to screw up mixing together some ice cream. I will 100% drive the opposite direction next time we want to go to DQ. We should have just turned around when we approached the shady gas station. Better luck next time! read more

Great place to take a break and get some ice cream to tuck into. My friend visiting from Ireland was about to pass out from the heat so good thing he could shop for tourist souvenirs too. If you don't mind paying 10-20% more for gas than everywhere else and like holding the nozzle because they have removed the mechanism that lets you pump gas without squeezing the handle then this is your gas station. I was a bit concerned when I saw the previous reviews. My family was traveling along I-10 and wanted to stop for lunch. Since we've been out of the country for a few years, DQ was on our to-do list. First impression was a clean store and restaurant. There was an odor present when we arrived, which quickly faded into the background. The DQ was clean and we were greeted promptly. The food was served hot and tasty. The blizzards were done right (by my standards). I am glad it was a good experience for my family. The gas station attached has a ton of tourist stuff to look at and an amazing selection of candy. They staff at the Dairy Queen was nice and service was quick. The blizzards were great. We got a 6 piece chicken finger basket and I've never received such small chicken fingers at a Dairy Queen. They did give us 7 instead of 6 but still didn't seem like the amount of chicken I get from a normal 6 piece. They Texas toast was completely saturated with butter and we didn't eat it. My husband got the 5 buck lunch. The only one they offer is the A1 burger(other stores have other options). The burger has so much BBQ sauce on it he had to wipe it off. The bun was saturated. The French fries were fine. The gas at the gas station attached was high also. Don't stop here. The Dairy Queen might be ok, but the changing table was so disgusting in women's bathroom my wife changed our child in the car. The men's restroom urinal was broken and holding pee so the bathroom smelled worse than a high school locker room. They're more worried about all the trinkets sold throughout the store than actually keeping a clean establishment. I stopped at stuckey's because they are a chevron, paying with cash, no clerk at register, three customers in the store, after about five minutes she emerged from the rest room. I handed her a hundred dollar bill and asked for $40 on pump 3, and a pack of smokes, she punched in $1 as cash tendered and then couldn't count my change back, looked aggravated when I asked her for a receipt. I went back to my truck so my boyfriend could use the restroom and get a drink, he came out and said they had a out dated selection of drinks and the cashier had the nerve to say to him "come on dude", while he was perusing the limited selection. Seriously?, I had to wait on her, I took it in stride, he is outside waiting to pump and he didn't have an attitude. How rude. Unless you are starving to death, I suggest that you find another place to eat or starve to death. I almost had my second heart attack there. While waiting in line to order a chicken sandwich and a diet coke, I noticed the biggest cockroach crawling across the floor. My husband said to ignore it, so I tried. Got my sandwich, which actually disintegrated in my hand cause the bun was so stale, so I ate the chicken. That's when I jumped out of my seat because that same cockroach followed me to where I was sitting. I brought the sandwich up to the counter and showed the girl the remains of my sandwich and she told me if I hadn't eaten the chicken, she would have made me another one. I told her that there was a huge cockroach where I was sitting and she explained that they were close to the woods and had a problem with them.
