Absolutely the worst Dairy Queen I've ever been to or heard about. The owner/ manager make the workers screw people over by not giving people what they bought. Literally the portion sizes are awful. Any other Dairy Queen it's normal but not here their large is a normal store's mini. I don't remember ever leaving a review before on any restaurant. Maybe years ago? It is so bad I had too. I have lived here 15 years and I am patient I don't want to affect someone's livelihood but this is extreme theft. No locals go there, the only reason they haven't gone bankrupt is they are living off I 75 and the Dairy Queen name. The store is filthy and the air conditioning was either broken or put to 85. I drove past and saw an out of town bus in the parking and just thought, "man those poor kids are going to be so disappointed and hot probably both" if your local go to the one on Watson in Warner Robins. This was actually a very good experience. I ordered a 4pc fry ring basket. The onion rings were cooked crispy as I requested and the food was hot. The toast could have been browned a little more but it still was good. I was amazed that the white country gravy was made correctly. The consistency was spot on. It was not loose and watery. Been to this location TWICE and my experience has been the same both times. I've never had this small of portions or not seasoned food at any other DQ. Very disappointing seeing as how the meal is over $10!!!! For that I could go to Zaxby's or Chick-fil-A and be satisfied every time. This is one among many declining dairy queens. I asked for one of the new blizzards that came out recently and first of all... Was given the completely wrong thing. Keep in mind this is all that I ordered. Secondly, when I went to open the blizzard after they put a top on it, it had a few bits of the treats at the top and nothing spread throughout the rest of the blizzard... Doesn't that defeat the purpose of calling it a "blizzard". As I said, I have been to mini dairy queens recently and have yet to find one that is even halfway decent. It's a shame because I've been going there for a long time. I do not intend to return to this one and I recommend you don't either. This Is by far the slowest DQ you will ever visit. I can't ever come here on my lunch break because they take over 15 - 20 minutes every time when you go through the DT or go Inside. It doesn't matter if you're the only one in line it will still take forever. Part of the problem is this location will never have enough Employees like all the other DQ. They try to be cheap by doing this when it hurts them more in the long run. read more

I live in Bryon, and was excited at the idea of a remodel! Well that excitement was short lived when I walked in and ordered a Blizzard when I saw the old filthy menu was on the wall. Along with the old beat up soft serve machine was being used. I should've turned around and walked out the door but I thought I would give it a try. So I went ahead and ordered a Butterfinger Blizzard. Taste like the machine is never cleaned plus they never evenly distribute the candies into the Blizzard. So that make for a not so enjoyable desert. They also have boxes stored where it is visible to the customers or even better yet on the counter thus the reason I give the 2 stars. I really hope you get your store in gear. read more

This interior has been remodeled at some point. All of the booths were some form of dirty/unkept, as if they were wiped down with cleaning spray and a dirty rag. At our arrival there were two other families/groups of three present. We were greeted, so that was a bonus. Ordering was easy and correct. The counter was sticky. None of the blizzards ordered had been completely mixed, so we all had plain vanilla in the bottom of all of our cups. Bathrooms were disgusting. Had two young girls who came out to tell us that the toilets were really gross before I went in with them to help them sanitize because I didn't want them attempting that feat on their own. More than likely wouldn't pick this location again. Two stars; employees were friendly enough and didn't make the experience terrible. read more

Took the grandkids to eat and ice cream. Staff was jokingly cursing to each other playing behind counter. Counter was dirty and sticky. Our food order was incorrect and the tea tasted like it was rancid poured tea out and went to replace with soda. The soda machine only options were vanilla coke and lime coke. I'm not sure what the other reviewers are taking about but it must be a Dairy Queen in another Byron. This place is nasty... While waiting at the drive thru for my dried up chicken strip basket I noticed one of the servers. He had a hat on that looked like his other job was a mechanic. His hair was all over the place and he had a scraggly beard all with no hair net. When I got my strip basket it was simply handed to me in a box with no napkins, utensils etc. save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. read more

I have been waiting all year for winter to come because at the Byron Dairy Queen they serve the most wonderful chili I have ever had. If all you do is buy a cup you'll be back for a bowl. If I could I would rate no stars! It was filthy. Many tables in the dining area had not been cleaned. The salad I ordered was pathetic for the price. We were the only ones waiting on our order yet half the order was missing! This place is disgusting. There is mold growing in about every corner. The wallpaper is ugly and really old. One time there was a roach in a burger that a guy complained about and that just made us leave. The service is about average. They have problems with cleaning and design and food. read more

Of all the Dairy Queens the personnel at this Dairy Queen is the most friendly helpful and pleasent I have encountered. The building may be dated but they keep it as clean as possible. Dairy QUEEN of NOTHING! When I got up to the register to pay, the manager said to one of the employees that he needed to "get busy" because he was just standing around doing nothing. The girl who was processing my order said to me under her breath "Maybe we would get busy if there was actually something to do!!" The funny thing was that there was A LOT to do, and the place was very dirty. When our order was brought out to us, the order was not complete and a second trip had to be made to bring out the rest of it. Thank goodness I had a BOGO coupon for Blizzards. Been over a year since we've bought one. Totally disappointing and a wasted of lots of calories. Well, I'm not quite sure what the deal is with this DQ, but we're going to avoid it from now on. We went in once, 3 Sundays ago, and got ice cream and it was good, and the service was fast and good, etc. I'd say a 4-star experience (at least). We went back the following Sunday expecting/hoping for a similar experience. The ice cream machine, we were told, had caught on fire (or at least started smoking) so they had shut it off. They could serve us grill items, but no ice cream, and we were there for dessert so we left. Tried again this past Sunday and had an even stranger experience..."the cook isn't here so we can't unlock the dining room, but you can order at the drive-thru" or words to that effect. This from an employee hanging around outside, drinking what for all the world looked like a beer. Since I wasn't interested in trying to drive while eating (and wearing) soft serve ice cream, we left again. As we drove around the other side of the building, we saw another employee sitting on the ground with her back up against the door and smoking a cigarette. Which, I guess, explains why they couldn't serve us inside they building since everyone was outside drinking and smoking. Who knows? My advice...AVOID...at least on Sundays. read more

Aside from the place being dirty and I don't mean we had a busy day dirty ...it looked like the back wall shake mixer had not been cleaned in a month. I watched them make several shakes and not clean the mixer blades so the shakes made that morning were mixed with the shakes made that evening because they never clean the blades. Now to my problem... I ordered 3 combos and told the middle eastern man who could not understand what I was ordering, what I wanted and explained we were traveling so please make sure the order is correct cause we are not coming back from the interstate. He said he checked it...another female employee said she checked it. But low and behold we got on interstate and it's wrong. .. so I call and ask to speak to manager and guess who answered??? The middle eastern man and he tells me I cannot speak to manager cause HE is the manager. When I tell him order is wrong he argues with me about it. So when I asked for regional managers name he wants to know why... I tell him so I can complain about his ability to be a manager...HE THEN SAYS HE IS NOT REALLY THE MANAGER BUT HANDLES PHONE CALLS FOR MANAGER... what a pack of B*llsh*t!
