It's been awhile but finally been able to come back for redemption on my Oreo Royal. This time it was done right. Next time I'll branch out and try a different flavor. I never really noticed how many different ones there are because I tend to always get the same one.

Came here for my weekly sugar fix and was set on getting the regular Oreo blizzard. I decided to try the New York cheesecake with strawberry center. It is my new favorite. Customer service is always good and the staff friendly and make sure you are satisfied with your order before you leave the window.

Love their Blizzards, and there are so many options here. Ice cream, Smoothies, ice cream cakes, burgers, chicken, etc. Good for families, etc.

Just driving through Fallon and found A DQ for a quick bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised by our wonderful meal and the great service provided. With many people in the restaurant the food came in a timely manor and with great presentation, and good taste. Had their lunch special and for six dollars I got a chicken sandwich a side salad, a drink and a sundae.... filled me up and made me happy! Kudos for cleanliness, bathrooms were nicely taken care of, great stop for this little town!

Dairy Queen in Fallon... So much has changed since its days on Main Street when it used to be next door to JCPenney... Our visit today was for the first time in many many many many years... It was the kids' choice. By the time you get to the Dairy Queen, your fast food options pretty much diminish if you're headed south out of Fallon. We chose drive thru since we were on our way out of Greenwave Land. It was hard to understand the drive thru intercom, as I had to turn off the radio completely and half stick my head out of the window to hear what the lady on the other end was saying. She was cool and patient, though, as I tried to make sense of what my family wanted to order. We decided on a mushroom Swiss burger combo, bacon cheese burger combo with onion rings, Fresh Griller (?) combo, and a 2-piece chicken strips kids meal combo. Our drinks of choice were a lemonade, root beer, piña colada smoothie, and an Orange Julius. We ended up switching out the lemonade for a Sprite, because the lemonade was that crappy powered stuff and it just tasted nasty. The drive thru lady exchanged the drink with no problem, which I thought was really cool. We must've been super hungry, because we ate absolutely every bite. For fast food, our meals weren't greasy. Hubby's onion rings were über crispy and good. Bacon was cooked the whole way through. Fries were perfectly crisp and not over salted. Fry Sauce is all fancy now, in sealed containers. Complaints??? Drive thru was very slow. I had to turn my car off for a while, we were waiting so long. And we were the only ones in drive thru!!! And adding the Orange Julius to one of the combos upped the price by almost $2.00. For what it's worth, though, my family was fed well and our drive thru experience was better than what previous reviewers experienced.

...And with cool clouds to boot!

Boy, my review will be different than the previous one. Dairy Queen is not a place we often stop, because now that I'm, um, 'older', I see that my much slowed metabolism just can't handle hundreds and hundreds of calories and carbs at a single sitting. BUT, once a year we stop here as we pass through Fallon on our way back from some adventure seeking RV trip through the Nevada outback. I always get a Blizzard of some kind. Blood sugar skyrockets for the day! Nevertheless, we stop anyway and are never disappointed. Blizzards are to die for (in my humble opinion anyway). In my life, I've never used a drive-up window. Never. Especially for ice cream. I figure if you're gonna eat this stuff, you NEED to walk in, just to burn off a few of the calories. Plus, since everyone ELSE seems to want to use the drive-up, that leaves us walk-ins top priority to get OUR stuff. I've seen cars in drive-up lines (everywhere - Mickey D's, Starbucks, etc.) still in line after I've walked in, got my stuff, and walked out. So, no drive-up windows for ME. It took no time for the girl at the counter to get our Blizzards, and of course, she demo'd the fact that she could turn them upside down and they "defied gravity". Ha. We like Dairy Queen for that once in a year splurge, and this one fits the bill. Can't say anything about their 'food' menu, but then, when I think of burgers or such, Dairy Queen just doesn't pop up on the radar.

Run by children, gets half the orders wrong. Other half you don't even get. Food is cold and soggy. And the wait times are rediculus.

They charge a $.59 per order for what ever reason. BBB can't tell you why. No response from DQ. So we don't go there and it is very slow

Waiting for my car to be serviced, I was looking for something to eat. If you follow my reviews,…read moreyou know I'm always on the lookout for new places to try while supporting local businesses. We spotted JD Slingers and decided to check it out. The parking lot is small, and if you're heading east on Reno Highway, you could easily miss it since it's tucked behind the tall Depot building in the Bonanza Casino complex. We arrived around 8:30 a.m., and there were only about three other occupied tables. The menu offered much more than just breakfast, with everything from burgers to sandwiches to sirloin steaks, meatloaf, and other comfort food favorites. Of course, what immediately caught my eye was the pastrami sandwich! I love a good pastrami, but I'm pretty particular--I prefer leaner slices rather than the fattier cuts that many places serve. Our server, Anna, wasn't sure whether the pastrami was lean or not, but I decided to take a chance. I'm so glad I did! It was served on what I believe was a hoagie roll with just pastrami and pickles, and it was absolutely delicious. The pastrami was tender, flavorful, and just the way I like it. I only added a little mustard toward the end because the roll was a bit thick, but honestly, it didn't need any condiments. It was great just as it came. I opted for the coleslaw instead of fries, and it was a great choice--it was fresh, creamy, and paired perfectly with the sandwich. As we were finishing our meal, the restaurant became noticeably busier. Anna was the only server on the floor, yet she kept up with the growing crowd while continuing to provide friendly, attentive service. I also noticed the manager making the rounds to check on guests, which is always appreciated. Overall, this was a great first visit. Great food, friendly service, and a local spot I'll definitely be coming back to--especially for that pastrami sandwich!

The skillet was ok because the gravy was ice cold. We all really enjoyed the sourdough bread/toast. It had a rich, flavor and was better than most! The service was HORRIBLE! It took 45 minutes to order and then another 45 minutes to get our food. The waitress was complaining that her tips were missing and my guess is that this skillet with the gravy sat waiting for her. I would go back because of the food for sure.
