    Sweet potato fries
    Aurora N.

My boyfriend is so excited to have a crab place in town! We shared a crab and shrimp entree and added sweet potato fries. Overall we were very satisfied. The cajun seasoning was super yummy- buttery and full of flavor but not too spicy. Big portion we shared and both left full and didn't even eat it all. Comes with lots of potatoes soaked in yummy sauce, corn, sausage, and lemon. It was a fun and yummy date night!

I love coming here I feel like its not talked about enough because it's somewhat hidden but its pretty good. I do wish they had the seafood boils that come in bags

Update 2/26/26: I finally got my Yaki Udon. As it was now added to the menu instead of being on a…read moreblackboard in the window. Good service, was served by the cashier and there was only one other customer. The dish was... Miserable. Basically a low broth Udon noodle soup on a plate and not a fried noodle entree like it should be. None of the vegetables seemed pickled, so what was that sour off-taste coming from? Original Review: I tried really hard to like this place. Three times (visits) in fact. Day 1 and 2 i had the same hostess/server. Blonde (platinum?) hair? She was doing her best on the first night which was very busy. Second day was much less so and i got quicker service. She was friendly which in this town seems to be a hit and miss. Third day i was served by a hostess with black hair. Ice cold demeanor. The most thinly veiled "friendliness" switched on only the moment she looks at/addresses you directly. I already knew they were out of some of their dishes (much to my dismay) but to also not know what was on the menu? I mentioned the Yaki Udon on the blackboard titled "New Entrees" and she looked at me with dead eyes and said, "i have no idea what you're talking about". At which point i walked out. Day 1 i had the ramen. Pork belly in place of Chashu is interesting, certainly an easier substitute but i think they would benefit doing Chashu instead. Noodles were a decent texture. I just wish the broth was way hotter temp than it was. Day 2 i had the Crispy Baby Octopus and got to try their fried rice (as a side). Both were really decent for Fallon. But i felt i needed to go one more time before making a final decision/review and well... Day 3 totally bombed. Shockingly bad service and was there even any food left to serve?

The food took forever to come out and it wasn't even hot, it was lukewarm. The restaurant itself was cute and spacious though. The women's bathroom door only locked sometimes and the toilet wasn't connected to the floor so every time it was sat on it would lift off of the ground. We got the mussels and they were just okay and we got a boba but it was jelly boba not the tapioca kind so that was disappointing and off-putting. My Mom got the Szechuan beef and it was like sour and not good tasting. I got the orange chicken lunch special with fried rice and it was foul. The orange sauce was super sweet and thick like honey. The fried rice tasted nothing like any fried rice I've had before. It tasted so weird and had some weird seasoning/flavor to it. I don't know if I'd come back here but the ramen and Japanese nachos were delicious!

So the wife and I were in Fallon this week to take care of some business…read more While we were out there, we thought we would check out one of the local establishments. We were actually looking for another establishment, but could not find it for whatever reason. However, as we were looking, we saw La Fiesta and made a uturn and headed right over. I can honestly say this was well worth checking out. As you walk in the place is pretty spacious and I have to say that the decor is really nice. I included a picture of some of the artwork that is on display. It was just after the lunch hour, so it was pretty much empty in there and we were able to get seated right away. The gentleman that seated us seem to be pretty nice, but didn't make too much conversation, which is fine. He brought us menus and brought chips and salsa after that and took our drink orders. We sat and made small talk as we waited and continued to check out the decor. Being that it wasn't very busy, our food did not take long to arrive But I have to say the chips and salsa was very good and it also included a sort of cabbage type of pico de gallo. Which I only got to try it once because my wife hogged it all. That's how much she liked it. Our food arrived shortly and man did it look good and it tasted even better I can honestly say that. My wife had the chili Colorado and a taquito with beans and rice. I chose to try the chili Verde plate that also came with beans and rice. Both dishes came with warm tortillas. I can honestly tell you that this Chile Verde was legit and I could not get over how good it tasted. My wife was equally as happy with her food and we both kept saying how much we enjoyed it and we plan to come on back and try something else. After eating, I needed to use the restroom, which was clean to my liking, of course And as I walked back to the table, I noticed there was some stairs leading down to a Cantina, which I thought was pretty cool. I did not go down to check it out being it was so early in the day. I didn't think it was open, but I will probably check it out next time we go back. So if you are in Fallon Nevada, and would like to try some amazing Mexican food check out La Fiesta because you will not be disappointed

You are served mild salsa and a cabbage mix to scoop your chips into. The cabbage had good flavor and was a unique addition, we really enjoyed it! The salsa was mild and a bit on the average side. You can tell the tomato tasted like it came from a can. My husband got the ground beef enchilada which came out steaming hot and I got the fish taco from the lunch menu, both portions were massive! We both thought the rice and beans were delicious! I was a little disappointed with the fish tacos because when I took a bite of the first one, the tortilla split and everything fell out onto my plate after the first bite (same with the others). I then had to eat my taco with a fork which was new for me. I'm someone that goes with the flow, but I must say I've never eaten a taco with a fork before. The fish was battered which I didn't mind, but it was soggy from the pico. It would've been better to have had two tortillas holding the fish taco instead of one thin tortilla and maybe put the pico on the side. The beef burrito was just ok, it needed more flavor. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly and the food came out fast. We really appreciated the service and hospitality.

The service was great and the remodeling of the restaurant into the steakhouse turned out really nice. They do table side salads, entrees and desserts. We chose to order a standard meal. The 1st course was a choice of the foie gras (good but had an inordinate amount of fig jam on top) or escargot (very good). The second course was French onion soup or Niçoise salad. Both were very good. The third course was a choice of poached sole with hollandaise (the hollandaise was extremely spicy and way over powered the delicate sole. The sole was cooked until it was mushy) or roasted chicken in brown sauce (some were very good and others were dry and overcooked). The fourth course was roasted marrow bones with golden raisins and brie with lingonberry. Good but very rich. The fifth course was beef bourguinon that was excellent. For dessert we had crepe Suzette's that were okay but very sweet and paired with an extremely sweet ice wine. Too much sweet on sweet. Some hot bread and butter, others didn't. Same with water, some glasses were empty and never filled. Overall it was way too much food for me. It said $150 all inclusive so we assumed that meant tax and tip was included. We were wrong. When we got the bill they added tax and 20% gratuity. Then on top of that they charged 3% for paying with a credit card. It ended up being a $400 dinner. That was more than we anticipated in Virginia City. Additionally, apparently they ran out of one of the wines and some people were offered a different one and then got charged $20/glass for it. All in all, it was fun (more because of the company than the experience), the food was mostly good and the atmosphere was nice and service was okay. I felt bad for other couples trying to have a romantic NYE dinner and having to sit next to a group of 20. We'll choose a different location next year.

Time tax: Unless you are rolling with someone in a higher tier of the players club you are going to wait. Sad but true, Maybe I was at fault for arriving as late as I did around 7:20pm but I wasn't sat until closer to 8:30. The line was peculiar. So many people skipped ahead. There was only one person at the register. Occasionally the nice blonde manager lady would come over and ring a few parties up, the line went fast for a few seconds, but the chap at the register only worked fast when the manager came by. Otherwise he took his sweet time, he'd only rush if another VIP waiting to skip the line showed up. It was often, this buffet is popular and the skippers show up in force, especially late. Server Attention Tax: the servers on a normal day work hard, they close at 9:00, they warn you when 9 approaches and it's a wrap, on the seafood buffet days they are not motivated, because they stay late. They act like they aren't getting paid for the extra time. I sat down around 8:25 and no one took my drink order till like 8:40. I was worried I would get a single plate but to my surprise they didn't shut down shop right at 9:00 in fact they were still seating people. So that was cool. But the servers are in no rush. I don't want to get all Mr. Rogers about it, but if you get me my beverages sooner, I'll get out of your hair sooner, you are literally prolonging your own suffering here. The seafood Tax Rebate: the seafood is good, fresh fish, crab legs and all the regular sides. Crab is offered seasoned crab boil style or plain steamed, make sure to wander around. Overall: I love to eat good, I'm not crazy about flights, hotels or hardware stores because I don't think value necessarily is affected by where you go. (There are a few exceptions) I think service flavors cuisine, Here the service isn't adding a respectively great flavor. Sure if you spend a lot of money here you should get some priority but even Vegas doesn't forget about the little guy. I felt sorry for the people with kids in the line. Even though my server was slower than forest growth I still tipped them. But like value lost the taste was unpleasant. If you don't like being exposed to prejudice I assure you the 'regular line' WILL make you feel like you have no civil rights. But if you're able to suffer all that for a few rounds of delicious crab then you should go right on ahead, don't let me stop you
