Yesterday was FREE ICE CREAM DAY. Manager made me pay full price for my mint chocolate dip cone after I paid for $1.08 the regular chocolate dip. Prior customers weren't charged for the mint chocolate dip cone. I asked them before I ordered they said yes but gave me a regular & told me I had to pay full price if I wanted the mint chocolate dip cone. I asked another customer if it was free for them the stated yes they are free today . You see to the side was the second cone. Location was clean inside & out. read more

My basketball team and I pulled up to get late night sweet treat and it was closed at 9PM. The inside was closed and so was the drive thru. According to their website, the establishment does not close until 10PM. This means that at least the drive thru should have still been open when we were there. read more

I came through the drive through today and realized I had gotten shorted on my fries in my basket by a little. I walked in the store and requested it be filled and they politely obliged and even gave me extra. The manager Charles was very kind and had a great attitude, even taking the mistake as an oppurtunity to show his staff the proper amount that goes in each basket. The DQ is a great place for ice cream, milk shakes (Blizzards) and even ice cream cakes. 4 stars on that! The burger I had was the Flamethrower and it has a spicy mayo sauce, pepper jack cheese, jalapeño bacon, lettuce, tomato on a brioche bun. I accidentally ordered the 1/2 lb version of this because it was the "number two combo" and normally one would think the standard was a quarter lb instead of a half lb. So it's 1160 calories and I just ate half of it once I figured out there were two 1/4 lb patties. But also 1750 mg of sodium...so Na, don't need that (get it?). The bun was a good idea on this burger. The other condiments and such were good but the bacon was a little hard to get a full bite. The downfall was the patty, or rather, patties, because you can get a big bite of some dry meat in every bite. And that's the rub, the idea one has of the patty is from those commercials with the glistening fat and goodness from the grill. They even call this the Grillburger and that is trademarked! I found them dry and somewhat of a chemical taste that accompanied the grill taste, almost like a chemical additive to enhance the brazier burger flavor. The fries were just plain underdone, you know how fries are when the oil was not quite hot enough and they come out a little limp and sweaty? I think the Flamethrower Grillburger would be best in the quarter pound size where the meat doesn't dominate the combination of other ingredients and you can clog your arteries a little less than with a 1/2 lb version. 4 stars ice cream, two stars fries, three stars overall. read more

0/10 do not recommend! The other night for a birthday we got a cake from here. 11 of us went out to sushi beforehand & then ate cake. ALL ELEVEN of us came down with severe food poisoning after. Of course we immediately assumed it was the sushi. However, here 2 nights later, 2 of us ate the last of the cake left in the freezer and are awake with the SAME EXACT symptoms. So clearly it was the cake all along. What type of dirty establishment is this that caused this many to get this sick? It is without a doubt the cake causing whatever food borne illness. After our hike at Paris Mountain on Memorial Day, we stopped here for a blizzard. My wife and I tried the Guardian of the Galaxy flavor, which I thought was great. Perhaps ours were made by different "blizzard artists", but mine had nice chunks of topping whereas hers was less so, and had more caramel additions. The minis my girls got were great. The service was a little slow, but we weren't in a hurry. A mop to the floor and some table wiping would have been nice, but all in all, not a bad visit. read more

It's hard to beat a DQ dipped cone on a hot summer day. The ice cream here is always yummy. I don't think I've tried the hot food. Little sticky fingers make big messes and it always seems that the windows are in need of a good washing. That's my only complaint. read more

This Dairy Queen is the SORRIEST EXCUSE for a fast food ice cream restaurant!! One time, I sat at the drive thru for 10 MINUTES waiting to give my order and nothing happened. I finally called the restaurant, and the employee that picked up proceeded to tell me that their earpiece was turned off. I placed my order, and when I pulled up to the window, the employee was talking with her friend and on her phone. Another instance, I drove by and there was a handwritten sign on the door that read "closed due to bomb threat." Seriously!? The last time I went was the most absurd incident of all. THEY WERE OUT OF ICE CREAM!! If you're a restaurant thats main source of income is due to its ice cream, then why the heck would you allow yourself to run out of it?? When the Dairy Queen opened in Mauldin, I was happy that I no longer have to drive to Greenwood to pick up ice cream cakes, which are a family favorite. Through of February 2018, I would order cakes online, then drive to Mauldin to pick them up. Now, I have to call to order a cake and it seems that I am restricted to what is in the showcase. So, back to Greenwood I go. There, I can order online, make the 30 minute drive to pick it up. Won't be shopping at the Mauldin store anymore. read more

I went here yesterday night around 9pm to get a couple blizzards and I pulled up to the drive thru waited awhile no one said anything. Another car pulled up waited and left. I finally pulled up to the window and saw multiple employees standing around talking, they saw me and did nothing but continued talking and I left. I will never go back after this experience. Excellent customer service by the staff at DQ. It was a very busy afternoon and the drive thru line was very long but they moved it quickly. The employee never even showed that she was very busy and she kept a calm pleasant voice when talking to me. I think I would have been totally stressed out! Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because they were having a car show in the parking lot and honestly on a busy Saturday afternoon there just is not space for that. I would not ask DQ to stop having the shows just maybe not at lunch time on a Saturday afternoon. read more
