I stopped by for a little frozen custard and somehow left feeling like I had just won the lottery. The custard was so creamy and delicious I briefly considered ordering a second one before I finished the first. The staff was friendly, the place was spotless, and every bite tasted like someone figured out how to freeze joy and serve it in a cup. There's a few sitting around the outside of the building. Most people just tailgate in the parking lot. My only regret is not discovering Andy's sooner. Now every other ice cream place has to compete with the unrealistic standards Andy's has set. The frozen custard is good, but our last two trips have been terrible. One, we arrived and there was a tiny sign that said closed. It was early in the evening. No explanation. We walked up and ordered ours, the service was wonderful and had a great cashier who suggested what she liked. When you wait you have seats you can sit at and eat or wait for your custards. The front is all window enclosed so you can watch the machines churn the custards out, that was a great experience for the kids. It's a long line but the wait is very short, they have your order out fast. We had the strawberry shortcake and the banana split, both were fantastic and the custard was so smooth and creamy. Great prices for yummy custards! All different styles of sundaes and toppings. The reason I gave this place a 4 star was because they advertised "Fresh Apple Pie" , and there was no Apple pie lol . My husband was so sad. They told us it was seasonal. If that's the case take all the posters down. We will still come back and maybe then there will Apple pie. All employees wore masks and gloves and we're all friendly. My boys had plain vanilla and I, being more adventurous, chose the Key Lime Pie Concrete. This custard is the silkiest I've ever had. The boys enjoyed their vanilla and I am wishing that the Key Lime was available year round. It had the perfect amount of pie and crust. The key lime wasn't overwhelming, but was just enough. You've likely never had custard like this before. Not the squishy, droopy and watery stuff you get elsewhere...Oh no. It comes out of massive hoppers like play dough (but thicker). Mix it with the many options (my favorite, which is an off-the-menu option, is the jitterbug....espresso, Heath bars, and other goodies) and they call it "concrete". I was so excited to hear that a frozen treats place was going to be built in this spot. The custard is so good and I've never really had to wait in line before, because they are quick!
