I dislike reviewing huge chains like this (so much), but I have to say... how in the world is this 1 of 2 options in the area for fast food. I honestly would have preferred anything else after my 'food' experience at Dairy Queen. Firstly, the employee was rushing us through our order in the drive thru and secondly when we got our order it was under cooked (chicken fingers and fries). The fries were super light in color (because they weren't even half way cooked) and would break every time you picked one up. Needless to say we did not eat our food. We often stop here to get blizzards but I don't know why we do because they never put enough toppings in them and when you get 1/3 the way down into the cup, your basically eating vanilla soft serve as was the case tonight when I ordered a thin mint blizzard and the amount of mint flavoring used barely turned the vanilla soft serve green and was only on top and very few pieces of cookie were added. Seems like the management here tell the employees to use less toppings and the menu is always changed with side notes of extra charges for additional toppings. Maybe serve a decent product with the correct amount of ingredients or charge less than $4.79 for a medium cup of vanilla soft serve!!! Wish I could give this establishment a zero stars after the experience we had tonight. Was very excited to have ice cream with family and friends (ten of us) and showed up at 9:35pm. The sign said they were open until 10pm, but the lights inside were all out. My wife walked in and asked if they were still open. A young girl said yes. However, the second we all walked in we got attitude and looks from the three very young ladies behind the counter. (We are not an obnoxious group of people by any means, these employees just wanted to close the store on their own time and didn't want to deal with more customers despite being open) No one bothered to turn on any lights for us, they obviously did not want to be working until their actual close time despite the amount of customers coming in. Very obviously and quickly the night manager locked all of the doors, leaving one of our family members outside. When I said there would be one more of us she rudely replied "then you can let them in." and locked it anyways. After ordering, we sat down (in the dark), and enjoyed ourselves for five minutes before one of the teeny boppers decided she was in charge of kicking us out at 9:58pm and said "we're closed. you have to go. Now." Absolute disrespect. Will never be returning. If only the owner knew these employees were resulting in so many unhappy customers. I just wanted to take the time out and say some thing nice about this DQ. The employees work their butts off and are always polite. It's terrible that the pay is below average for a fast food place. The employees all appear to be late teens and I never see an adult supervising the place. Who ever the owner is take some advice- Pay more and open up you're dining area so the line at the drive thru isn't always backed up. There was only one girl taking the orders and after she took each order she went back and cooked the food. The other young lady was working the drive thru window. My order was finally taken after about 20 minutes of waiting in line. I ordered a grilled cheese.. a simple grilled cheese.. The bread was barely toasted and was so soggy . Follow up to the review below. I was one of the people who sat in the dark and was begrudgingly sold 10 ice creams. I called the manager today to let him know what happened. He acted like I was an imposition on his time to give him the heads up that his employees were deliberately closing early, turning away business and being rude to customers. I was quite pleasant and civil to him -- I assumed he did not know about it, and would prefer his employees didn't cost him business. But clearly he didn't care. Not even a simple apology, let alone come on back in and we'll give you a free kiddie cone or something. It is trickle-down bad customer service. My wife and I are visiting our son and his family in Quakertown, PA. We decided to go eat out at the Dairy Queen located at 702 Main St., Pennsburg, PA. 18073. We dined in. Nov. 01, 2013, at 18:55. After looking over their DQ menu I decided on the crispy chicken basket for $6.19 with a med. malt for $2.58. My wife ordered swiss mushroom basket. Hers was fine. Mine was NOT. They brought me a reg hamburger bun with "2 small" chicken nuggets on it, that didn't even cover the half the bun. And one of those nuggets had a piece missing off it. I took it back up to the counter and asked the manager what that sandwich was, because it sure didn't even come close to what DQ was advertising as a crispy chicken sandwich (A crispy chicken filet topped with fresh green leaf lettuce, thick-cut tomato and mayo served on a warm toasted bun).. She told me that is what this franchise owner chose to serve, that she doesn't order the food items. All the while her help employee gave me a smart alek grin. I told her that she thinks it's funny, and gave her back "your one and a half chicken nugget sandwich" and left the DQ to wait outside for the rest of my family to finish eating.
