We drove up to Dairy Queen. The line was 10 deep no lie in the drive thru.We got out to go inside, sign on door lobby closed for staff shortage,. Come on !! how does the owner think he's going to make a profit if his employees are sitting down waiting for the next car to take their orders they need to be busting their ass to take care of customers!! Don't they know that customers pay their wages ?? The owner should look for better employees to handle customer service and not be sitting down for no reason. I ordered a banana split. No strawberries. I ordered a peanut butter parfait. No peanuts! There's a freaking grocery store right across the street for emergencies like that crazy! None of the tables or benches were clean, cramp all over the floors, but the blizzards were good. read more

We split our time between Las Cruces and Silver City. This DQ in SC should go down to the DQ on Main St. in LC and learn how good customer care works. I've been here twice during business hours. The first time I was told by the kids (not) running the place that they closed at 6p. I went again tonight at 8:22p (the sign says they close at 9p. I could see the same kids inside cleaning the place. I knocked on the window and one of them looked at me, then went back to cleaning! I knocked again and a different kid looked at me and he also went back to cleaning! So tell me, Dairy Queen management, WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?? I have been getting curbside pick up for months. When I went to pick up my order today curbside some guy who answered the phone said no you have to go through the drive-through we don't do curbside. When I begged to differ with him, he was a complete jerk, but brought the food out to my car eventually (minus a few items he had to go back for). He again told me not to ever do curbside again. When I asked him if he was the manager, he said yes and then, when I asked him what his name was, he said, you don't need to know and walked away. Seriously?!?!?! Yep Its a Dairy Queen. Yep, Good Fries and Soda. Yep My brother-in-law really likes the $5 dollar lunch. OK I understand all that and as you may know if you read my reviews, I tend not to review chain or franchise establishments. When in Silver City we usually end up with at least one meal at DQ. This DQ had a man on horse back coming to the Drive up to get his ice cream. Now I don't know about you, but for me that is quite a sight when he pulls up to the window. Parents do not let you child work here! The owners Sarah and Jim and Assistant Manager Bianca are unprofessional and rude to their employees. I've heard and witnessed the way Sarah talked to my child and I had to put her in her place. They like to think they're in the right and don't own up to their mistakes when proof is shown. This is another place where I only visit the drive-thru. The employees are usually friendly, but don't like to turn over all the Blizzards. We only order Blizzards, too, as that is all we ever want from DQ (personal preference). They're not always mixed well, but they're still tasty even when they aren't. It seems as though they don't get the new flavor ingredients very quickly, as they rarely have the flavors shown on TV when we see the commercial...but maybe that's just because of where we live. Pulled into drive-thru at 9:15 pm on Sunday, 4/14. Was waiting for someone to take order while a car was waiting to get their food handed to them at window. Car pulls off with food two minutes later and girl at window starts looking at us and then talking with coworkers. She then says into the microphone, "Sorry, we're closed." I responded, "I thought you closed at 9:30" and she responded, "No, 9." I doubt the car in front of us had been waiting at the window for their food for 17 minutes. It has been confirmed, they are supposed to close at 9:30. I definitely won't be going there again. read more
